Pros: Breakfast, location both fantastic. Upgraded room also fabulous. Couldnt say a bad word about our suite.
Cons: All good
7.5 Good
Cons: The view out our bedroom and living room window was of a worksite , complete w heavy equipment. Not what we expected from a high end hotel. Disappointed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An elegant, yet comfortable and relaxed stay on the grounds of Ashford Castle. We were able to book afternoon tea and dinner at the castle, due to being guests at the lodge, withot having to pay more than double the price to stay in the castle itself. Plus the lodge had plenty of its own charms - beautiful artworks, fantastic decor, high-standard rooms, great buffet breakfast. And a drink at the lodge overlooking Lough Corrib was a lovely thing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was buffet style, which was fine, also with the option to order freshly made items from a menu.
Cons: The rashers were very salty and responded badly to being kept in a warmer. The same comment applies to the eggs, which after a relatively short time became hard and rubbery.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was the best hotel we've stayed in for many years. The room was excellent; well appointed, great bed and reading table and lights, convenient closet and space for suitcases, perfect bathroom. We had the tasting menu 5 course dinner which was superb. The wine list is also excellent with good value as well. We had wonderful walks son the grounds and to the Ashford Castle. Spacious, fresh, good views, pleasant weather.
Cons: Nothing.
6.3 Good
Pros: The property was pretty and beautifully landscaped.
Cons: The so called ART was bizarre and in poor taste. Extremely offensive art in men’s and women’s restrooms and throughout the lodge on walls. Makes no sense for a castle. I enjoyed the property but would not stay in the lodge again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Lovely location with a lot of interesting activities on site. The hawk walk was amazing.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and special feeling
Cons: Had emailed before visit to ensure there was heating in the bedroom. It can get chilly in Ireland. The hotel and Castle has open fires all year! The answer was yes. The room had a radiator, underfloor heating and independent air conditioning/climate control. The radiator did not work(presumably the central heating was not on). The underfloor heating did not work. The climate control/air conditioning would only blow cold air. The heated towel rail worked. Reception said they would sort it out and put a radiator in if they could not! This did not happen. Chased following morning. This time a gentleman said it needed switching on centrally! He would call me back when done. No call or attempt to contact me and no heating. Left next morning. Bill £1,500 for 3 nights. Enough considering we were cold. My wife did not want me to complain again therefore I said nothing when we left. These things play on your mind when you are supposed to be enjoying yourself. Great otherwise!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved George v for dinner. All the staff at The castle were gracious & welcoming to us lodge dwellers. A very special ‘ thank you ‘ to a special employee at the lodge - Brendan Kelly - you are an extraordinary ambassador for the Red Carnation group. Your attentiveness to us, as guests, & helpfulness was inspirational
Cons: Absolutely nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing. The town is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Lydon's Lodge at the end of our trip. We checked in and were helped to our room by a friendly, young woman. The king room was clean and comfortable. Since it was raining steadily, we stayed in the restaurant for drinks and dinner. It was a very popular place with locals. We sat at the bar and were served by Ciara. She was friendly and accommodating. The food was great! We tried the fish and chips that others suggested online, and it didn't disappoint. Since we were seated at the bar, and it was very busy, lots of people were leaning in and ordering drinks between us while we ate - a little annoying, and we should have taken a table. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful, and a great start to our day!
Cons: The parking isn't really on site. We parked on a tight street in front, but had no issues.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were great and very clean. Lovely girl doing all the work. She is on working Visa. She was fantastic

Pros: The staff were really great and the entire property was spotless. Would always use this establishment when I am in the area again
Cons: There was nothing you couldn’t like. Excellent
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, Cosy and comfortable, Noel is very welcoming and accommodating. It is a lovely quiet spot and affordable, not too far from the popular village of cong, you would need a car to get around though. Free parking and free WIFi is an added bonus. It was our 2nd visit to the BnB and we would be happy to stay again in the future.
Cons: I think a do not disturb / please tidy my room sign should be made available, we didn’t expect our room to be touched when we left late in the day, it would of been polite to inform the guests. Supplying toilet brushes in the rooms would be handy and maybe an extra blanket in the wardrobe would be a nice touch it can be cold in the rooms. A key for the outside door would be handy to supply to the guests as not everyone would be happy with a curfew, it didn’t bother us really as we don’t drink or like to party it up. A little bit more professionalism on the phone would be nice from who I’m assuming is Noel’s wife, and even an hello as she’s passing by it is a business after all, it comes across most unwelcoming just as well you don’t see or hear much of her. My recommendation is deal is Noel and only Noel if possible, he’s a lovely man.

Pros: The setting in terms of a beautiful rural view. The owners were kind. Their daughter???---hmmmm
Cons: Although I have been to Ireland numerous times, this was my first time in Cong. Prior to the trip,I asked if the B & B was in walking distance to the town center---NOT! with cars driving 1oo kms per hour. Then, if we chose the other path which crossed Ashford Castle, to return, one had to spend 15 euros. We would have stayed at Ryans Hotel where I would have had a few drinks and not have to drive!!! *****The first night no one told us we needed to keep the windows closed. We have been in Ireland since June 15 and have had windows open. At 2 AM, got up to go to the bathroom and there had to be 200 no seeums(cannot spell), spiders, moths---we couldn't sleep all night. Moreover, promised us a flat screen TV. I type to you on a MacBook Air. THAT was the size of the antiquated TV that we could not even see the screen! Next morning---sleepless in Cong. Told the owners & at first they reacted as if it was our fault. Then, they moved us to a much nicer room, same type, which we should have had in the 1st place. Flat screen & larger than the loser room. We were there for 4 nights!!!! Why did we not get that room? Their daughter gave us the worse family for 3, 120 euros room. I repeat 4 nights! That's how one treats people for 4 nights? The toilet flushing was weird and they said they were all like that in the area. We are at Ashford Castle where they upgraded us to a Stateroom & 1 mile away, their toilets worked. I am a European travel consultant who recommends hotels to scores of people, particularly the wealthy. I was one of the first active writers on Trip Advisor since 2007 & have their 1st t-shirts & scores of writing to prove it. I have even been used by Guoman, Alba & European Best Western to check on their hotels. I will tell my followers & clients to stay at Ryan's Hotel. This is my first major negative comment on a place in my beloved Ireland. BTW, I know you own Trip Advisor now :-)

Pros: Convenient to the Lodge and Ashford castle nice breakfast clean
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Michaeleen's Manor is located about 1.5 km from the center of Cong, where several pubs and restaurants can be found. It has 12 rooms and ours was bright, comfortable and fresh. The bathroom, especially the shower, was excellent. Breakfast (served from 8 to 9.30) is tasty and you can chose between full Irish, eggs and bacon, or eggs and sausages.
Cons: Our only negative comment is that the owner (Gerry)'s presence at breakfast is overwhelming. It's all about his stories (you'll hear a lot about his grandfather) and for some reason the very first question that he asks all guests is "Are you American"? He could also treat the young waitress a bit better... other than that, our experience there was very postive. Beware that one of the first pictures on the booking.com app is Ashford Castle (nearby) ... not the place where you'll actually be staying (this confused us)!

Cons: We arrived five minutes early in the pouring rain. The door was locked , but there was a phone number to call. We called and were chastised for being early. As the man was complaining about the “ early” check in , I checked my phone, it was 2:02. I don’t think Americans are welcome here. Several remarks were made to make me believe this. The only rude person we encountered on our trip. I would not advise staying here.

Cons: It actually isn't located in the village of cong as advertised. It's about 1.5km outside cong on a road very dangerous for walking.

Pros: So friendly , lovely rooms ensuite, we'd great weather also so everything was great
Cons: Nothing negative...
5.5 Okay
Cons: I originally booked a room in error for single use this cost £178 and soon realised at the property that this price was for single us , I had brought my partner. This was discussed by the hotel owner to another’s one of my family members with a separate booking which I do not deem appropriate. Nevertheless this was an error on my part. We were originally told we were to pay extra 80 euros exactly to add my partner to the room. There was nothing wrong with the room as such, however, there were no Tea or coffee making facilities , there were no glasses for us to have water. We were told the kitchen was private access therefore we were not able to make a drink. The owner did offer a drink when she was around but I do not believe the price of the room is good value for money. In the end we were told we only need to pay an extra 10 euro which we did , would probably not stay here again as other family members stayed closer to the village for the same price or less with much more to offer in terms of facilities and a welcoming environment .

Pros: Accommodation was beautiful as was the gardens, Kathy was really lovely & even made us tea in the garden before we checked out,
Cons: Was a little disappointed tgeee was no breakfast service available, but even a kettle in the room would have been better
5.5 Okay
Pros: Beautiful grounds.
Cons: The rooms had no amenities such as a table or a hot pot, not even a glass was provided to take morning medicine. The bedding was odd and no sleeping pillows were on the bed, just the ones in shams. Not cozy nor welcoming.

Pros: Perfect location for a wedding at Ashford Castle
Cons: Bunk bed in double room
5.0 Okay
Pros: Big kitchen
Cons: It was OK but reception could have been cheerier, dorm had no window just a skylight so a bit claustrophobic. Facillities shared with campsite got a bit grotty.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable and only a walk away from the village
Cons: Tge room was a bit smaller than I imagined
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were very welcoming & friendly on arrival. Location is great. The shop onsite was convenient.
Cons: Room was not as advertised, smaller, darker, one roof light on top of bunk bed so couldn't open as would drip water or dirt onto bunk, not enough standing room for four people. Old used bars of soap in sink & shower only two small towels for 3 guests. Matress on double very uncomfortable. Sockets only 2 out of 4 working. Tea & coffee making included according to site however 3 milk jiggers for 3 people for two nights was ridiculous & very disappointing, when I asked about further supply the jiggers were .20c each... At €80 per night, hugely over priced by about 25% would not have booked this room & feel misled by site photo. Would not return.

Good atmosphere throughout hostel and WiFi excellent;. Beds comfortable and clean;. Spacious fully equipped kitchen and separate dining area;. Staff pleasant and approachable;. Great value for money;. Security superb;. 1km from Cong Village and handy for bus to Headford and will definitely be back to stay, thanks for a great time in Cong;. Bernice 67 from Belfast.

7.5 Good
Pros: The location was good nice veiw and walks
Cons: Nothing u couldn't like nice walk though Ashford Castle to get to town Only down side no oven and share fridge but everything else was spot on
6.8 Good
Pros: Kitchen is super clean and organised. Friendly staff. Good laundry room.
Cons: Its really clean property but outdated and needs revamp. Outside drain covers used in showers. Not suitable for feet especially childrens . I'm 6 foot and the attic rooms are very small and packed for the 4 person dorm. Only one eletrical socket in the room. Kitchen needs a new oven. The dining room could minimize on tables way to many and put a couch or two there. Because it's a very relaxing part of the property. Nice and bright compared to sitting room. And people like to hang out there more.
6.8 Good
Pros: The surroundings
Cons: The fact that teenage groups were booked in the same time as families. It was very noisy in the evenings and intimidating for our children.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing value for money and extremely clean, beautiful surroundings, not far from Ashford castle! Highly recommended!
Cons: There was a group of students, so it was loud until one lady quiet them down
4.3 Okay
Pros: I have been to many hostels in Ireland and they were all top. This one is clean, but not very good, apart from the common room and kitchen that is nice.
