10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was really comfortable with a seating area in the room too. The bathroom was modern, clean and the shower was great. We loved the range of food available for breakfast with home made yogurt and jams. The host was so helpful with suggestions for restaurants and handled the bookings for us. His English was excellent and he provided us with discount vouchers for local attractions.
Cons: Nothing really but we hit an unusually cool and wet spell in June and the option of a little heating in the bedroom would have been welcome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room for a family of 4, excellent breakfast, very nice location to visit Beauval and the Loire castles. Very welcoming and gentle hosts.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Family room perfect for 4, very clean, very calm, very friendly hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location for visiting the Castels of the Loire. We stayed several times in Lapillebourdiere. The B&B owner changed, but the new owner also does an excellent job. It will remain our favourite place to stay in this region!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location within easy walking distance of centre of village. Very nice, good value, restaurant in village. Our host extended a warm welcome. He went out of his way to suggest which Château we might visit during our short stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. All in all a very pleasant experience
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Top marks go to our room, the breakfast, the parking, the WiFi and mostly, our host. Our room was ultra modern, with a great shower. Lighting was exceptionally good; better then every other place we have stayed. The WiFi connection was simple and the speed was fast. We could stream video and make WiFi calls. The location was quiet, so our windows were open in the evening. As English speakers, our host helped translate with the other guests who spoke French. I felt very welcomed, and at peace with my surroundings. I truly wish that everywhere we stay could meet these standards. BTW, our room, the "Rose", was the size of a studio apartment.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't stay longer. This is a top drawer place. Don't miss staying here.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The welcome, the comfort the lovely breakfast. Very good value for money. Would recommend.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We felt immediately at home in our family room at 'La Pillebourdiere'. The room was tastefully furnished and offered plenty of space for the whole family including our children (aged 12 and 15). We all liked the setting of 'La Pillebourdiere' and its large garden. The owner was very friendly and helpful and he gave us good recommendations for sightseeing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was superb with a huge choice including fresh bread and croissants and the most delicious homemade jams! Gite (Hirondelle) was spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed. It was a bonus to have the use of the lovely swimming pool in the pretty garden. Our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We'd definitely recommend staying here!
Cons: Nothing to say here!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superbly maintained and decorated B and B. We had the split level apartment which basically means you climbed a small set of about 10 stairs to the living area and then another 10 to the sleeping area. Breakfast is presented in the apartment by the owners (before you get up) with a superb range of pastries, fruits, breads, hams and cheeses - more than we could eat each day. Andre and Nicole do not speak English but they usually have someone around with some basic English if there is a language issue. They clearly take great pride in keeping place clean and well appointed and we thoroughly enjoyed it stay.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very tranquil setting with a lovely garden and pool. Nicole does an amazing breakfast and cannot do enough to look after her guests. Both Nicole and André are superb hosts.
Cons: A full length mirror would be a nice addition, but this is a minor point.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. They offered ideas on where to visit. Breakfast was served in the garden in a relaxed manner. The swimming pool was excellent. Ideal location to visit the Loire region and the Chateaux.
Cons: Everything was good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: André and Nicole were lovely hosts. Our room was newly and tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. Breakfast was taken in a separate kitchen where you could make use of the fridge and freezer. The breakfast was very nice, with home made jams.
Cons: It was a little way to get to a local restaurant in the evening to eat and you had to drive . The local boulangerie was closed for annual holiday while we were staying.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house in a tranquil village close to Blois and the castles. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming with us and our children. They provided us with an excellent breakfast with homemade products, fresh bread, croissants, cold cuts, fruit and so on. We felt pampered :) The rooms are modern, confortable and spotless clean.
Cons: Yes, the toilets were in a separate room from sink and shower (otherwise all very modern and perfectly clean) but we didn't mind, it is so because the rooms are in a renovated old building structure. You "pay" for the charm with some very small inconveniences.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfasts and the room was very clean....the bed very comfortable.
Cons: It was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting for a family break with heated outdoor pool, delicious breakfasts with fresh croissants delivered each morning, great cycling routes and free bikes to borrow. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay! Isabel looked after us so well, the breakfast was wonderful, pancakes, pastries, eggs, fruit, freshly made coffee and juices every morning. There was a kettle in our room with tea/coffee making facilites and a fridge/hob/barbacue we could use in the pool house. We had a lovely week visiting chateaux in the area, towns along the Loire, relaxing by the pool and of course wine tasting. What a lovely week full of great memories, thank you Isabel
9.0 Excellent
Pros: great breakfast, incredible host, beautiful hotel in a superb area
Cons: the cats of the property :( that are kept inside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely room in a beautiful renovated building. The other is charming and goes out of her way to make guests feel comfortable. A beautiful, special room, very comfortable beds. Tasty, rich breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for visiting the castles. The Domains was beautiful, quiet, the room was very comfortable and full of charm. The host Madame Isabelle was very welcoming, she gave us a lot of good advises regarding our visit in the area and the served breakfast was absolutely delicious. We had an amazing experience and felt very spoiled. We would definitely choose this location once again and we highly recommend it if you want an unique experience.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: surrounded by nature with a huge garden and enough space for all around the pool this Domaine is a lovely place next to Loire valley. the house has a lot of magnifique decorations and large rooms with enough space. but the best of all is the breakfast in family style prepared fresh and unique to the wish of the guests
Cons: on hot summer days it might get also hot inside but on the country side you will survive. because it is far away there are not many options for dining.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very kind staff, beautiful historical building, great breakfast, large and comfortable room, optimal location to visit the region by car
Cons: Swimming pool was dirty every day of our stay, we ran out of toilet paper (no spare rolls stored in the room)
6.7 Good
Pros: I selected this B&B because of its proximity to the most famous chateaux in the Loire valley. The estate itself was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Prior to our arrival we contacted the owner of the B&B to request some options for dinner as we were not familiar with the area. Unfortunately, we did not receive any feedback, which was OK considering that it was rather last minute. However, once we arrived, we were shown our room directly with no information about of the property facilities (for example, where to eat breakfast) and when we asked for restaurant recommendations, we were told to check the village next door. After over an hour of research and calling restaurants ourselves (most of which were closed because it was Sunday), we settled for a restaurant which ended up being a disaster. It would have been nice to receive at least one recommended restaurant that would be open on a Sunday evening or to be warned. The other negative for us was that the room was very very dark and the bathroom did not have an equipped shower but rather a bath in which you would have to sit while using the hand held shower head to wet your hair/body. So all in all, it wasn't a very comfortable stay and, therefore, we were not very satisfied. Indeed the property was beautiful and the breakfast was good but it did not match our expectations for paying over EUR 100 for one night. Perhaps its more worth it when the weather is better and you can benefit from the pool and you are not staying over a Sunday night.
La Levraudière - Cheverny - Building

9.6 Excellent (107 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic stay at La Levraudière. Our host Sonia was fantastic, taking care of us from arrival with a very friendly and welcoming greeting to our goodbyes where Sonia actually got up very early in the morning to prepare breakfast for us before saying goodbye. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the quietness of the place; the sightseeing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sonia and her husband go the extra mile on delighting their guests. She speaks fluent English and also does a great job arranging for daily tours of the castles (Chateaus). Breakfast was served daily and the omelettes are delicious!! The B&B is also very well maintained and immaculate. The garden area is also wonderful.
Cons: No complaints whatsoever!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful accommodation, very clean, very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, secure parking. Absolutely perfect as we are concerned.
Cons: Nothing to complain
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large comfortable bedroom. Good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is not too big but spacious enough, freshly renovated, very clean and extremely cozy. Garden is massive, well maintained, with various outside sitting areas (terrance table/chairs, loungers and some terrace soft sofas). The pool was unbelievably clean. Overall, very quiet and peaceful place. Breakfast included buffet with hot drinks, different kinds of bread and spreads, ham and cheese. Fresh croissants, fruit salad and orange juice were served directly to the table for every breakfast. The best part was the warm meal prepared for each guest upon arrival to the dining area for breakfast, so it was just off the pan. We enjoyed an omelet for the first breakfast, french toasts for the second one and homemade cake for the last breakfast. Finally, hospitality-wise everything was outstanding, to say the least. In addition to standard features like friendliness, warm welcome at check in and quick and pleasant check out, the landlady, Sonia, would approach every guest during breakfast to see what their plans are for the day and give advise on where to go, where to better park and how to arrange the day the best way. She provided a lot of local information that you probably wouldn’t find online. Overall, a fantastic location if you’re looking for quietness, privacy and very personal approach from the host.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place was wonderful. The hosts are lovely - Patricia showed us around the room when we arrived. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. The nights were quiet so we had a great sleep. Going out in the evening for dinner was really easy - the first night we walked to Cheverny and the second night we stayed in the village. It’s really close to Chateau Chambord (our reason for staying) but Chateau Cheverny sounds great so we’ll have to stay again! Breakfast was wonderful - delicious selection, all local including jam made by Patricia herself.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay! Great location, very serene. And the hosts were very accommodating.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Large room, comfy king bed, lovely furnishings, fantastic breakfast
Cons: Could’ve had milk in room for tea and coffee
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location , the shower and comfortable beds.
Cons: I don't know why the hosts are doing a research into your nationality background and why that is relevant for them or other guests. I find more important if the dusty rooms are cleaner, having a functional TV in the small room or supplying bathroom with toilet paper. The breakfast area should be larger to accomodate all the guests.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Location good to make daytrips in Loirevalley. Good parking facilities.
Cons: small room, hardly any space to put your luggage. Very small bed, if you are taller than 1.70 cm you certainly will have hard time at night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A lovely location with truly friendly and considerate owner/operators. Nestled in among the vineyards, only 4 miles from Chateau Cheverny, the hotel offers very simple but clean accommodations, and a pleasant petit dejeuner (a little extra), at an affordable price. The room had a problem with dampness that might cause problems for people with related allergies or asthma but it had been quite rainy, so this may only have been temporary or seasonal. Other than that, we were quite pleased and would certainly go back.
Cons: Only the dampness problem.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Quiet Close to attractions via driving (25 mins)
Cons: No facility in the room at all. Just bed and TV. Can't make tea Food is not allowed in the room Wifi didn't work Far from restaurants

Intimate elegant but not formal separate dining room. Dinners are varied and very good. French quisine with very good sauces. Duck, venision, beef, chicken, fish etc. Breakfasts are simple, just right. Owners are attentive, friendly and pleasant to converse with. Pros: We felt very welcome Dinner and breakfast were excellent
Cons: not too much to see in the village
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hosts! Great chef! Marvelous lounge!
Cons: I liked it all!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the place very much except the breakfast should have been included in price. They don't give you much , spend your money somewhere else for breakfast.
7.9 Good
Pros: It's a very impressive building to drive up to and the gardens were very well maintained.
Cons: There's nothing not to like about the hotel and restaurant, but having stayed at many chateaux and hotels in France, I would say this offers the least value for money. The hotel was overpriced for what it is, and the room is half the size of most others we have stayed in. Breakfast consisted of bread and croissant, yogurt and Special K - no frills, but at €12, you might have got a bit more for your money elsewhere. The food was good, but we were placed on a table which was adjoining our neighbour's table, and about 30cm away from the next table, needless to say we heard everyone else's conversation, and unluckily for them, they would've heard ours! Zero intimacy in the restaurant which was a real shame. We would rather have been turned away. There are lots of mozzies too, so you will need fly spray to nuke them in your room.

Pros: Good welcome, very good location with good restaurant within 5 minute walk. Bed was comfortable, breakfast good. Town within easy walking distance. Chateaux of Chambers and Cheery nearby.
Cons: There was nothing not to like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location in the small city very close to the château. Staff was quite friendly to us and let us settle earlier then check in time. The room was big enough and facilities were great. I recommend!
Cons: Everything was good!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the most important advantages, I think, is the location of the hotel, - it is really close to Château de Chambord we were going to visit. Cons are: there is almost nothing else in the village. Most of all, if you come on Wednesday, almost all the local restaurants will be closed except the only one. And the prices in that one will be aligned accordingly: close to the Château, no other ones open, so be ready to be surprised. You can always ask for the dinner in the hotel.
Cons: I'd say it is like an Ibis Budget hotel but more expensive just because of its location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good. Location excellent near a very romantic pond. Room big and clean, with cable TV and very good bathroom facilities. Free parking and wifi.
Cons: Everything was great!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a typical continental buffet breakfast. The location was excellent for visiting Chambord Chateau. It is only a 10 minute drive. There are a couple of very good restaurants nearby. One across the road on the roundabout and another in town. The staff were helpful and very friendly.
Cons: n/a
6.7 Good
Pros: Very good location for Chateaux in the area+ cycling around. Nice village...didn't eat there but several different restaurants. Friendly reception ladies, easy parking right by the hotel...the ' man-made lake' that the hotel looks over is a pond. Comfortable beds, good to have room for four...2 adults and 2 teenagers. Great to be able to bring the dog for an extra 5 Euros.
Cons: Quite basic. Clean bedroom and bathroom, but toilet room had a bad smell when we arrived..when I Iooked more carefully, I could see a dried urine splash up the wall... toilet not cleaned very well either. No tea/ coffee making facility in the room or little fridge etc or safe, so unable to leave valuables. Reception staff go at 9pm, so front door locked and access is up side stairs outside hotel...the door in is not locked although has keypad outside ( doesn't work) so anyone could walk in through the night. Seems a sleepy safe area, but felt odd.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The setting of the hotel was lovely and the greeting was warm and welcoming. Breakfast in the winter garden lived up to the excellence of the evening meal.
Cons: While the evening meal on the terrace was delicious the service felt a little rushed, quite possibly because there were only a few diners that evening.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property grounds are gorgeous and we enjoyed a very picturesque walk along a small river in the town surrounded by flowers and trees, absolutely beautiful. The host cooked us a delicious dinner and the wine was excellent. It was gorgeous to sit outside on the terrace sipping wine and enjoying a wonderful meal in this setting. Do stay for dinner, the food and dessert are great. I particularly recommend the creme brulee.
Cons: Slightly stuffy smell which normally accompanies old buildings and furniture.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food (with amuse bouche) was outstanding, and amongst the best of our frequent trips. It was a pretty village with interesting architecture. Being English, the only thing to make the stay even more perfect would have been availability of tea/coffee facilities in the room which is always appreciated after a long journey.
Cons: We will return ASAP so nothing we didn't like.

Cons: Bath too small and bathroom outdated. Difficult to get in and out of. Room overlooking front of hotel was very noisy ALL night long. Speeding traffic and barking dog.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The place is very quiet. We live on the top floor, the view to the garden is beautiful. we quite enjoy the sports facilities, such as swimming pool, table soccer, and my daughter likes the small house and chairs for the children in the garden. The restaurant is also very nice and the staff for the breakfast is very nice and helpful.
Cons: The headboard of the bed smells like new painted. so we have to turn our pillows to another direction, and keep the window open all night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly.
Cons: More plugs in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a 4th generation, family owned establishment and it shows. The staff are great - fun, caring, friendly and willing to make your stay more enjoyable whenever possible. Can't fault it at all. Plus, the restaurant, run by the owner/chef, was full of local French. Says it all.
Cons: That we only had one day there.
7.1 Good
Pros: The facilities were good and the room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: We made a dinner booking for 3 people for 7:30pm and waited almost 2 hours before being served our meal. Other guests arrived later and were served before us. This ruined our evening and I would not recommend the hotel to friends or family. No apology was made to us for the poor service.

Pros: A very warm welcome. A convenient place for bicycles. All first floor rooms with terrasses, so convenient. Room and bed was ardequate.
