Welcome to the Super 8 of Covington, GA. Located 34 miles East of Atlanta - Covington is the home of the Oxford College campus of Emory University and Georgia Perimeter College. Visit the welcome center to learn more about movie locations and TV series filmed in Covington including The Dukes of Hazzard, In the Heat of the Night, Halloween II, My Cousin Vinny, and Remember the Titans. We are located less than 5 minutes away from Turner Lake Park and City Pond Park, home of the bi-annual Dixie Boys Baseball World Series. Off-Site Workout Facility with Indoor Pool, Alcovy Fitness and Wellness is just a short walk away next door. There are two golf courses located within 5 miles of the hotel, the Oaks Course, a Bobby Jones design and Indian Creek Golf Course. Augusta National Golf Course and The Masters tournament are in Augusta, GA, just an hour and a half away. Pros (+) Price was good considering most hotels increase prices significantly during the Masters week. Nice workers. Easy check in and out.
Cons (-) Very loud all night from large trucks on the road. Not the cleanest or most updated hotel. Got in at 1 am and checked out at 7 am so those were minor inconveniences. Probably not an ideal place to stay for multiple nights.
