The staff were welcoming and prepared to provide assistance. We had no reason to complain.
Everything was really good from the check in/welcome,breakfasts and the large car park.Really good base for attractions of Exeter. Nothing to Fault.
Very impressed. Thouhgt the hotel was good value for mony. High standard of facilities. None
The friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was great, both in terms of quality and quantity. The location was billed as downtown. it isn't…it is a good 20-25 minute walk. The public transit seemed infrequent. There are few restaurants nearby.
Lovely hotel, not too big or impersonal, staff very efficient, helpful and friendly. Excellent location for accessing city centre, shops, restaurants etc. Overall a very pleasant experience. None.
I would best describe this hotel as adequate. The room had all you needed, a bed, a bathroom and a telly, however it was a little on the small side espically for a tall man like myself. So if you like you rooms on the compact side and your on a budget, maybe this is the hotel for you. The room was average and the stay acceptable, so no complaints.
Quiet On one occasion my top bed clothes were just pulled up My sheets were as I left them when getting out, Breakfast very mundane. Not hotel just a b/b
Excellent breakfast, hot and tasty. Staff v efficent and curteous, good size car park, walking distance to town and pubs and restuarants.Quiet hotel even though on a busy road. No biscuits on hospitality tray and early check out time (10.30).
Staff very friendly and breakfast was excellent
Clean tidy room Shower hot but weak flow Car park difficult to get into (due to someone else parking across entrance)
Friendly welcome, lovely and well-heated room in a courtyard off a pretty castle overlooking a lovely Devon river and valley. Breakfast was quite delicious and set in a wonderful dining room. If you're looking for a stay in comfort in the midst of glorious Devon, away from the monotony of metropolitan hotels, go for this. Dinner at the local pub was excellent, too.
Very friendly staff, good restaurant, beautiful setting. The rooms do not have en suite facilities, which is understandable given the planning restrictions on listed buildings like the cottage where I was accommodated. I had not picked this up from the internet details.
Friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Excellent breakfast and very comfortable room.
it was some thing different ideal for a quite break in beautiful countryside but not to far from places to visit. the cooked breakfast was excellent and we were well looked after with personal service and friendly people we doth enjoyed our stay.
Excellent and unusual venue, location and surroundings, friendly staff proprietor, history of site. It was off season so there was no restaurant on site.
The location and grounds were absolutely magnificant. The rooms were also very comfortable. Nothing of note, although Wi-Fi access would be preferred.
Stunning setting. Unique feel. Welcoming
Great welcome and friendly staff. Wonderful and interesting location.
The surroundings are superb - very peaceful and quiet. Ideal for a wedding (which is their core business). Beats staying in a modern 'formula' hotel room for sure and so reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed v. comfortable and beautiful bed linen. Nothing ....
Very pretty surroundings
The hotel was situated perfectly for our requirements.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good. Being in a room above the bar with the windows open it was very noisy until after midnight.
The Silverton Inn is in a charming village 15 minutes drive from Exeter, the last mile is a single track road. It is not ensuite and the breakfast was very basic. The people are quite friendly and it's quiet.
The Breakfast Sharing bathroom facilities with four contractors!!
Friendly owners, nice pub down stairs.
Very friendly and helpful service. Lovely family and first class breakfast. None!
We only stayed overnight to break a journey but our host was very friendly and helpful with a superb breakfast. The room was very comfortable and clean with a good en-suit. Lack of wardrobe space would make a longer stay a little crowded with only rows of coat hooks - a very minor gripe at an otherwise good b+b, we'd certainly return. Had no time to explore the lacality but the Redwood Inn nearby did excelent bar meals and beers.
Friendly, quiet and beautiful rural area Kitchen smell in room
Very friendly owner, but not intrusive. Beautifully decorated rooms with great attention to detail. Excellent package.
The personal attentiveness to detail and helpfulness of David the owner - who was really helpful despite my arriving late. The room was lovely - first time in a four poster bed! It would have been nicer if the bathroom had been ensuite but there are no other guests upstairs so it was not a problem
Friendliness of owners. Local pub was great for meals Directions took you up very narrow lanes(even discounting the fact we got lost). We prefered the way we found to leave.
Closeness to the wedding we were attending, clean rooms with nice views. Not flexible with breakfast arrangements, to be fair we hadn't booked breakfast, but the owner wouldn't prepare it even with a whole day's notice...?
The bedroom was compact but lovely with 4-poster bed. Self-serve Tea/coffee was provided. Bathroom basic but functional A small bone of contention. We did not book breakfast with the room and we could not order it when we checked in. This should be made clear in the brochure
the ambience quiet country atmosphere
