Located inside Crested Butte Mountain Resort, the Grand Lodge is worth the stay. While it’s not ski-in, ski-out, it’s close. Across the street from the village area where the Silver Queen and Red Lady lifts are, this hotel couldn’t be more perfectly located. During ski season, guests at The Grand Lodge get free ski valet service making life easier in more than one way. In addition, The Grand Lodge also has on-site dining, a newly renovated swimming pool, fitness center, spa, and access to everything mountain-based due to the location.

Featuring 266 oversized hotel rooms and spacious suites, the Grand Lodge accommodates all types of travelers. Every room is surprisingly affordable and includes comforts and conveniences to make travelers stay ideal, any time of the year. The rooms at Grand Lodge are equipped with a ceiling fan, box fan, and at least one opening window to assist with climate control. However, like most Colorado mountain resorts, the hotel does not offer air-conditioning in guest rooms. Each room includes standard conveniences and necessities, and some are pet-friendly and accommodate more people.

Last minute trip on. Holiday weekend. Price was great. Room was very nice and comfortable. Even the pullout couch was comfortable!

Cons:The restaurant Or staff there was terrible and couldn’t handle a busy crowd. Never once were able to be seated. Front desk staff often had no answers for questions and were unable to help.

Pros:The location is good, especially easy to walk to the venue for the music festival events. Plenty of hot water, room was clean and spacious. Kitchenette was very handy.
Cons:Pool area too small to accommodate the number of people, especially children, staying at the hotel. Hot tub spa was allowed to get "murky", they weren't treating it heavily enough for the number of people using it (including children who are NOT supposed to be in it). Not enough umbrellas in the pool area . Food delivery time in the restaurant too long: we were 2 of 4 people in the restaurant and yet it took them an hour to fix a pizza. (Pizza was good though.) Servicing the room was spotty. Some days it didn't look like they even stepped in the room. Coffee pot had to be replaced twice to get one that worked. The hairdryer never worked and no replacement could be found. First floor room was convenient but loud and had no privacy as the windows were right on the parking lot. Apparently there is no sound insulation in the hallway walls. The automatic door closers on the room doors from the hallway bang the doors closed very loudly and some guests talked very loudly in the hallways, even until 1 am. I wouldn't stay there again.

Pros:Great hotel a few minutes outside of downtown Crested Butte. Clean, modern rooms and a very friendly and helpful front desk.

Cons:Room was VERY HOT. Hotel has no air conditioning. Our room was overlooking the equipment vents etc from the restaurant and if we opened it there was lots of noise.

Pros:The grand was literally steps away from the ski lifts and adventure park. There are restraunts and a liquor store steps away. I overall enjoyed my stay, the only thing I have to say is that the carpet in our pet room was kinda filthy. But it is a pet room.

Pros:The Grand Lodge has all the accommodations to stay and play or is within walking distance of other options. If you want to head down town, the free CB bus stop is within feet of the property. Would DEFINITLEY stay there again!!!
