The courtyard in the middle. We hung out in the courtyard for an hour and it was VERY relaxing! Thought there would be a free breakfast.
Location nice about ten minutes from Busch stadium and not having to pay a whole lot for one night was a plus. Bedswere very ccomfortable. Breakfast not included. The market place where you can buy snacks was pricey but had a good selection.
This was my 2nd stay at this location and was very pleased each time. Clean hotel, comfortable bed and very friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in this area.
Very focused on guests, and plenty of small extras. Bathroom was a tad small, but not unbearable.
Nice staff and nice breakfast. I also liked the attention to conservation efforts such as dispensers in the shower instead of tiny bottles that go to waste. I would stay at a Drury Inn again if only for this reason.
Very clean! Staff very polite! Food was good! Breakfast opened at 7 which was late for us to enjoy! Hot water in shower was only good for one person. To enjoy then hot water ran out!
The staff was amazing! Everyone was polite, respectful, and made the trip enjoyable! The food that was served was so delicious at the cafe and Giddos! The room had wallpaper peeling and the door to the safe was broken. The safe wouldn't open either. The bathtub was clogged with hair and someone from maintenance had to come get it. The price for movies to rent was rediculous as well. 17$ to rent a movie is way too much!
location is very close to a concert venue but they did not have a shuttle to take you there. we had to pay 20 one way for a cab that took us about a quarter of a mile. Because of the location close to the concert venue we chose this hotel. It would be very convenient for the guests if they could shuttle you the quarter to a half of a mile to the venue.
convenient yet overpriced i felt hotel personell must of been having a bad day is all i can say . snippy
It was great. Good food. Slots were loose. Room very comfortable We had to leave
We stayed at Hollywood Casino Hotel because we where attending a concert at the amphitheater. It was very convenient and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hallway carpet really needed cleaning.
The bars in the casino are nice and the food is good The pillows were really hard and not comfortable.
Room was way over priced. Phone didn't work. Very small room. Was suppose to get a smoking room and was given non smoking. Will never stay there again.
Came into town for a concert and experience was great, shuttle service and awesome buffet.
The hotel is an long ages hotel, people looks like tires.
The proximity to the airport and parking on site are the big pluses. There is a nice Indian restaurant on the top floor of the adjoining property. The place is a little worn and the rooms are basic. If you are just looking for a place close to the airport at a reasonable cost, this is a good option. If you are concerned with the decor and upscale amenities you should look elsewhere.
Location was good, but that's it There was makeup all over the pillow cases and it took multiple calls and two hours to get new cases (proving that they had not been washed), and the breakfast was really low quality.
The rooms were incredibly clean and the the night manger Dee, was willing to make me happy. The table leg was ready to fall off, many of the rooms had no airconditoners for heat in them, the cord to plug in my son's cell phone fell out of the wall, the outlet on the lamp got this phone connector so hot when he disconnect his phone from it he got a blister, there was no conditioner in the rooms, the beds are on wooded frames and very uncomfotable, the microwave had a faulty cord, so when you used it, the back of it sparked, and the rooms smelled like poop. After changing rooms 3 times, we finally found a room that we felt safe in and smelled acceptable.
We all were extremely impressed with the level of luxury for the cost of the stay. The pools were clean, warm, and beautiful. Wood floors, pillowtop mattresses, and ceiling fans brought all the comforts of home together in the room itself. Breakfast was filling and delicious although I would have preferred a tidier eating environment. The floors in restaurant were dirty and the wait staff was inattentive. Having said that, the stay overall was more than satisfactory and Clayton Plaza will be where we'll stay when we visit STL in the future.
The staff here are very nice and work hard to accommodate guests. And the wifi is free, which in this day and age should always be the case. Breakfast was OK. For less cost, I could have gotten a more respectable experience at a Holiday Inn. My first room was so dismal (drawer fronts falling off, sink in the main room, so far from the lobby on the first floor that it felt like a basement) that I asked to be moved. The second room was an improvement, but the bathroom sink didn't drain (annoying when brushing teeth) and in general both rooms were outdated and worn. The bathrooms badly need updating. There was little to delight this hotel guest.
Location. The executive tower is nicer than the basic rooms
The breakfast omelet was made to your liking right in front of you and buffet was real food and the indoor/outdoor pool was nice and warm while steam came off my head outdoor on a morning swim we will be back
The hotel is beautiful, the indoor/outdoor pool is heated and you swim under the wall to go inside and out. There is a game room next to the pool that has arcade games which are free to play even though there are coin slots. The complimentary breakfast was great and included made to order waffles and omelette's. This is the only hotel I have stayed at where the OWNER walked around and said hi to everyone and also left his card which included his direct phone number. There is a pub 1 block away that looked very nice (lamborghini's, BMW's, and Mercedes' parked outside lead me to believe it's a high class place) there is also a police station across the street so I could consider it pretty safe. The only thing I did not like about this place was my room smelled bad, like body odor. I bought some Febreeze but it didn't help for long.
My kids had a lot of fun at the indoor/outdoor pool and free arcade. The breakfast buffet was excellent; the made-to-order omelets and waffles were delicious.
The staff was terrible and I was charged three times for a room I did not receive. They gave my room to someone else.
Crowne Plaza has all the amenities and fine details of a luxury hotel at a competitive price. Full-service breakfast buffet far exceeded the standard "continental breakfast," employees friendly and helpful. Great location near WashU. Standard room perfect for my needs. Everything was great with my stay.
No carpeting in rooms. I hate carpeting! Free airport shuttle! Looks like they "might" be remodeling? Saw construction workers, but only in one room. Pergo flooring versus hardwood. Dirty hallways, multiple items scratched, dinged or falling apart. Mishmash of styles: trying to be a nice hotel and failing miserably! Dirty!
Free wifi included. Beds are really comfortable. Dual sinks. Good water pressure. Close to everything we needed. Nice interior Elevators are confusing. Street noise is loud and comes through even on 4th floor.
Helpful, friendly, caring and efficient!
The staff was fantastic and took great care of us. They were very friendly and accommodating when we were trying to order out for the night. The rooms themselves were a little too dark for my taste when it came to color and lighting. Otherwise it was great!
Staff were exceptionally friendly and responsive. Very comfortable Carpets were drab.
Close to freeway This hotel was a dump. Hair on bedsheet, dirty towel and hair in bathroom, dirty toilet, hotel customer service agent was unapologetic that the room was dirty. Changed the room to another room upstairs and wrinkled(?) bed sheet and hair on bed sheet again. Thanks for nothing.
Great value. Clean room & great breakfast. Check-in and breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. Wifi so slow it was not worth using.
We were very impressed with the hotel and found it ideal for trips into St Louis and surrounding area and would not hesitate to recommend to others. None
The staff was very friendly and the property was clean and smelled fresh. The location was good. I would stay here again. The only downfall which isn't that big a deal was that there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room.
Nothing really, it was relatively clean Parking, paid 10 dollars and took 45 min to find an empty space to park, very noisy, people in the restaurant made a lot of noise and made it impossible to sleep, and started to make noise around 5 in the morning again.
The mattress and pillows were comfortable, the furniture and decor were decent, my daughter LOVED the waterfall and glass elevators (even though the elevators were truelly filthy.) It was nice having a TGI Friday's in the building. No continental breakfast, our room was HOT, the closet doors wouldn't close, the bathroom door wouldn't lock, the hotel was pretty dirty, the pool water that was supposed to be heated but was lukewarm at best and located in a freezing-cold Atrium so it was not even worth swimming in case you were so so so cold. There was no hair dryer and when we asked the stagf for one, they said they would bring one and never did. Other staff acted annoyed when asked questions. I will nt be staying there again.
Wonderful room, shuttle,breakfast
This was a gorgeous hotel. Great decor and location. It was very close to anything you would want or need. Only 15 minutes from downtown so you're away from the chaos but close enough to get down there. Staff was friendly and rooms were fantastic. Great breakfast (free) and free wireless. Free covered parking garage, gym and pool (indoor). I was VERY pleased.
Check in was a breeze and they have plenty of carts available to bring our luggage to the room. The king suite was perfect for our family of four. Our two small children shared the sitting area giving us privacy. The shower was large and clean. The pool was small but my five year old son enjoyed it. The continental t breakfast was fabulous and different each day. It was also near a metro link station which was the best way to travel downtown.
The hotel is next to the metro downtown making it convenient to get to the Arch and Busch Stadium, had plenty of eating options nearby and was just what I was looking for when finding a single night stay. The only dissapointment was the small pool as there wasn't enough room for kids to really swim around especially when other people were trying to do the same.
We LOVE this place! We have stayed there 3 times! It is great with kids and close enough to the Zoo and the Galleria for shopping. We love eating at Houlihan's next door and would love to try the little cafe across the street too sometime. We can't wait to go back again. Our only complaint is that the pool is WAY too tiny and we can never get in- it is always packed. I think it is about 10 or 15 feet square. I think only about 6 people fit in it! So that is always disappointing for the kids- but everything else is great. We also love the fee breakfast! The Belgian waffles are so much fun and the kitchen are is really well stocked! I suggest going early- by 7:30 it is already busy. The staff does a great job and is very accomodating. We have reqested a pack and play and that worked out fantastic- they even had a sheet and crib blanket - I thought that was perfect- our son loved it! He really liked having his own bed away from home! The rooms are really spacious and we had so much room. They are so nice and clean. The rooms are very nicely decorated too! We really liked having the kitchenette too with kids and all of the food and milk we travel with for them while dining out. This is a fantastic place- you willl LOVE it! I wish we could stay here once a month!
I expected a larger room, but it was adequate. One TV in the suite shared by the work area/sleeping area. Modern and comfortable. Very servicable wi-fi. I went back for seconds on breakfast: eggs, meats, potatoes, waffles, cereals, fruit.... Staff was friendly eager to help and prompt. Great restaurants closeby, including Houlihan's, one of my favorites.
Pros: Nice big bathroom and shower Bed was pretty comfy. Flat screen TV Seperate sitting area Mini fridge and microwave was convenient Pretty quiet Friendly Staff Cons The room set up was weird. Bed in one spot then a wall #40in fog#41 that seperates you from the sitting area. The vanity are was small. There is no ATM at this hotel. You have to go across the street to the shopping plaza. Little closet space. The breakfast was ok but not much of a variety. In room coffee was gross. And the pot was not user friendly.
I have been commuting to St. Louis for work for over 3 years. It is difficult spending so much time away from my family but the staff at the Springwood certainly make it easier. One 2 occasions I was tempted away to other hotels with offers and bonuses as they strived to get our business. But they didn't make me feel as comfortable as the Springhill so I went right back next trip.
Hotel was great! Breakfast (lots to choose from) was hot and yummy! Pool was a bit small, no hot tub. Beds were firm but the rooms were nicely decorated and spacious. Would probably stay at another Springhill Suites. Front desk was very helpful and had a list of nearby restaurants with directions and distance from hotel. The Magic House is worth a visit!!!!!!
I stayed at this hotel recently in order to help my daughters find an apartment to live in while at school this fall. This was a very busy weekend in St. Louis....there were St. Louis Cardinals home games, there were soccer tournaments, volley ball tournaments, and an Elite Track Meet at one of the local universities...so the hotel was very busy. The receptionists at the front desk were very friendly and extremely helpful to me giving me directions and maps and finding offices/phone numbers during my apartment search. I am very grateful for all of their help.
Well located as really close to Forest Park (Zoo, etc) and downtown. Great breakfast and large room. Others pointed out the small swimming pool but I did not take it very seriously. The pool is EXTREMELY small...probably 12' x 15'. If your kids will want to do a lot of swimming then it's not a great spot for your family.
The staff was overwhelmingly nice. Very attentive in lounge area and always refilling soda/drinks and clearing tables. Only 13 min from airport. Plenty of food and shopping within 1 mi.
Beds were horrible
I used Hotel. Com to book the original trip I had to extend my stay was charged 20% more by hotel.Com than the hotel. Last time I use them.
Chose Pear Tree for its location to the airport. Happy hour is okay and breakfast is very early at 5am. Shuttle goes every 20 min. Reasonable park n fly rate. Comfortable bed and decent room. Staff were very pleasant.
Proximity to airport Nothing
The front desk employee that was working when I called was very helpful and understanding. He directed me on what I needed to do to book and receive a promotional rate. Got me a nice room, was pet friendly, and met all of my needs. I slept in since I arrived SO late and was able to head out comfortably at their 11am checkout. If I am ever driving through again I wouldn't hesitate to give them my business. Thanks again. Parking was gated... somewhat inconvenient but I understood it to be of necessity since the airport is right there. Soap dispensers in the shower. Efficient/not as wasteful im sure... but penny pinching when the room is $115+/night.
The room was huge and very nice. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. The pool was a little small but the jacuzzi was very spacious. The location was really nice and there was more than ample parking. Really nothing. The pool is pretty small (especially if u have little ones).
Very satisfied with the hotel. N/A
Even the normal sized double rooms were very spacious and clean. It was a great stay. I wish the breakfast hours were longer.
The staff were the best, they helped us in so many ways. No
Gym, pool, rooms, and breakfast. Didn't feel over crowded Old soap and shampoo left over in the room
I liked that it was close to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. Within walking distance and close to airport.
Staff at hand to make stay as comfortable as possible N/A
Quiet area. Newly remodeled Maid service could have been better.
We went to St, Louis for three days. The first night we stayed at the River City Casino and Hotel, it costes us 130$ for two queen bed. The room was very nice and clean. The next day we stayed here, not much cheaper the quality is totally different. It was clean but I didnt like the interior of the room.
My son and I enjoyed the pool when we were able to use it, which, was the primary reason I chose this particular hotel. The photographs were accurate and we were happy with the facility overall. There was some kind of wrestling tourney over the weekend and the hotel felt overrun with inconsiderate teenage kids who had to be told not to slam doors and run up and down the hallways, not the fault of the hotel staff. However, when I called the front desk to have them contact one of the event group's sponsors, the situation appeared to lessen. I would suggest for the facility, added consideration for either efficient shower heads for improved water pressure or another water heater. The hot water lasted long enough for my son's shower and ran out before I could finish mine. Cold ending, slightly uncomfortable.
Great location, nice staff Terrible facility. Old, dirty, run-down rooms and lobby. Filthy carpet, bathroom; windows. Old everything that hasn't been renovated/upgraded in decades. What a shame as it's a great old building in a great location and could be a real winner. Needs a full makeover and owner that cares!
Clean, staff were friendly and helpful, coffee always available in lobby, nice daily breakfast buffet which is included in price Pool was small (we have 2 younger kids), parking is $19 day
Rooms were very nice. Staff was extremely helpful. Complimentary hot breakfast was good and a good start to the day.
Service was impeccable. Room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Pool and gym were great! Breakfasts were consistently varied, accommodating, and delicious. We did not dislike anything!
Young lady by the name of Jade was very kind. allowed us an early check in due to some unfortunate circumstances.. We had been in a car wreck, and in town for a funeral. Followed up with a fruit plate and sympathy note! We were impressed with the effort and the empathy she showed. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Dan Lloyd Pool was closed on a Sunday. Things happen I suppose.
We booked a room for our daughter's birthday. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly. They offer free happy hour and breakfast. It was a great deal.
Amazing complimentary breakfast and manager's reception.
Complementary Wi-fi, breakfast
Staff was polite and competent. Good access from parking lot. Room was nice and had good cable selection. Breakfast was above average. Door locks were finicky. Staff was aware of it and gave me two keys. Wireless internet was spotty and slowish.
Laundry facility Rude desk clerk. I a
Will be back
AC did not work first night. They promised it would be fixed by next night but it was not, so changed room.
The first room they gave us was already occupied. Then they rented our room to someone else. Inexcusable that someone was given access to our room.
