Pros: This is a little Gem in Cuenca....and the hosts are amazing. Totally helpful in every way making sure you have the best visit possible. No charge for laundry is so nice. Our taxi was impatient in finding the B&B even though the directions are perfect....turn right at the big billboard, (on the river) and take 1st left.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Sole is a wonderful host and excellent cook...fresh fruit from her garden every morning. Wonderful family setting. I didn't want to leave.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I had good sleep for 4 nights here !! Maria and Agustin are wonderful couple !!!!! Not far from city, 1 km around ! Just Cuenca is boring to stay 4 days ! Hahha ! I think 2 days enough .....
Cons: Nada
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I absolutely loved my stay at the Casa Todosantos in Cuenca. The owners were exceptional in their helpfulness and welcome, and were simply delightful people. The BnB is perfectly located in a very quiet corner of town, on the banks of the Tomebamba River, and a short walk from both the historical centre of town and the more modern commercial area around the Millenium Plaza Shopping Centre. Breakfast was copious and delicious, and the room was very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Thank you for a super and memorable stay in Cuenca :)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything: It is centrally located and walking distance to most of Cuenca's main attractions. The hosts were fantastic, friendly, warm and interesting. The breakfast was excellent with a diversity of dishes of quality and quantity. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and well appointed. The grounds are well kept and welcoming.
Cons: Nothing was amiss. It is the best place we have stayed in six weeks of travelling in Ecuador, Chile and Argentina
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice facility and Agustin and Sole are such nice people. I felt welcome and right at home instantly.
Cons: I would not change a thing. Thank you and see you next year.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderful hosts and a great location. It felt like home. It was a pleasure to stay here and the hosts went out of their way to take care of me.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: What a great guesthouse! Comfortable room, big bathroom. Healthy breakfast with daily different Ecuadorian specialities. Most of all: Sole is such an hospitable and friendly host. She gave me good advice about what to do in Cuenca, helped me with onward transportation, let me use her washing machine and dryer without charge and was just overall a kind person.
Cons: I think the price is too low for the quality provided.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My hosts were a friendly and gracious family. My bed was very comfortable and breakfast was large to say the least. I wouldn't be hungry again until late in the afternoon.
Cons: There wasn't much to complain about. I was pretty happy with the my stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My host made me feel so very welcome, I extended our stay! It was a lovely warm feeling staying here and I arrived as a guest and left as friends. My host answered all my questions promptly before my stay, did everything to make my stay more enjoyable and make the most of our time, even running me to the bus station. I am so grateful to have had this experience! The breakfast was so delicious! Than you my friend!
Cons: Nothing everything was wonderful.

Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great location. Service was of a very high level, and extremely accommodating of dietary requirements for breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome. Beautifully designed and maintained B & B.
Cons: We had some issues with credit card payment and ended paying in cash.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The Bed & Breakfast was very beautiful. It was beautifully decorated and you felt very welcomed there. The B&B is located very near to the city center, but you don't hear all the noise. There is a lovely garden and a nice place where you eat the breakfast. The owner was so warm hearted and helpful, that we felt like being home. The breakfast she prepared was so delicious. We really liked our stay there.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Casa Montalvo was a beautiful hotel full of lovely furniture and nice artworks with interesting spaces to sit including a conservatory looking into the courtyard garden. The rooftop view is delightful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly host, centrally located near cathedral, great breakfast. We felt very comfortable and highly recommend it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything! This is a beautiful colonial home with the sweetest host, Sonia. My mom and I had a downstairs room with 2 single beds and a sliding glass door opening to a beautiful garden and nice terrace. The beds were so comfortable and we had the best nights sleep during our whole trip. It's right in the historic center, but so quiet in the room and very dark due to the thick curtains. Also had the best shower during our whole trip! The room even had an electric heater which really surprised me. The decoration and furniture make you feel like you're in a museum, everything is beautiful and looks to be antique! The sitting area near the entrance is so comfty and homey, great place to read! The outdoor patio has a heating lamp. So many little touches really make you feel nice and cosy! There's even a terrace with a panoramic viewpoint of the city. What more do you need?! Best of all was that Sonia made us feel at home and served us delicious breakfast every morning. Nice plate of fruit, fresh juice and eggs with bread. She even asked us if we wanted breakfast earlier than in the normal hours on the day we were going to Cajas. It's a bit pricey but if you're going to splurge on accommodation at any point on the trip, this is a good value! I would come back :)
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A beautiful, colonial home in the heart of Cuenca. The breakfast was delicious and nutritious! Our hostess treated us like royalty. We felt cared for and pampered. Thank you.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The host was very nice and attentive. The place is beautiful with many real plants and flowers to make it cozy. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the place is safe & in an excellent location.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: I loved this place. The room I booked, the King room was just beautiful - a huge comfy bed, lounge, lots of natural light all the old colonial furniture and decor was so delightful. It was a really relaxed and comfortable stay, the staff were all friendly and helpful and Sonia, the owner, provided special personal attention, arranging for my laundry and even drove me to the airport at the end of my stay, which was so lovely. I stayed earlier at one of the 5 star hotels which was fine but this was so much nicer. Would highly recommend! Thank you, Sonia By the way, all the beautiful artwork was created by Sonia, so an extra delight to the already beautiful Bed n Breakfast.

Pros: The hotel is located 3-4 blocks from the center. It was perfect for my trip. I could make morning excursions and come back and rest before going back out. The staff was super attentive and helpful. A great place to stay in the city.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff and owner fantastic and ready to help us with arrangements for our daily trips in and around Cuenca. Breakfast each day was superb and varied with amazing fruit and coffee / tea with a variety of egg dishes each day. Sensational location in city and close to everything and around 10 - 15 minutes front bus station for trips around the area.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Felt like home! Staff were lovely and treated us like family. In the historic district, a few blocks from Parque Calderón. Absilutely no complaints.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Incredible place. The kindest staff you will ever meet. Edwin and Rene were warm, kind, gave wonderful advice and information, and were genuinely so happy to help us! The owner is fantastic and so invested in the guests. The woman who serves breakfast is so gracious and warm, and served fantastic food. Compared to typical hotels which rely on sterile modernism and an empty sense of professionalism, this colonial hotel was a beacon of warmth and wellness. A paragon of hospitality, a homecoming away from home.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was excellent and very friendly.the breakfast were great. The room was always cleaned to perfection
Cons: The street side of the hotel was loud and we had a front room. But that is not the hotels fault.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing, amazing, amazing. Best hotel I have stayed in my entire holiday. Amazing staff, great rooms with loads of character and comfortable beds and so quiet considering where it is. Breakfast is delicious. The owner is also brilliant.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Alberto, the owner, was very welcoming. The hotel has been beautifully restored. The breakfasts are delicious - something different every day.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: We got a room upgrade, which was already a good start :-) The room we got was very spacious, small bathroom, but good facilities, and good working shower. The hotel looks really nice and the people are very friendly and helpful, speaking good English. The breakfast was superb! Every morning a different delicious breakfast. From the hotel, you just walk two blocks and you’re at the main park/square by the big cathedral.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owner Alberto Ordóñez went out of his way to help me with suggestions of things to do and see , where to eat . He treated me like family !
Cons: Nothing !

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Alway an excellent breakfast made to order. Service is very good. We love the location, 10 minute walk to the downtown restaurants, one block from Supermaxi and one block to the mall. Safe parking for our car.
Cons: There is a water pump on the property. It seems to be getting louder every year. Might need a service or something. Room 202 still needs a table or desk under the TV.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything is very good.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Well located in a quiet residential area, 7 minute walk to the old town. Big room, comfortable beds and white bed sheet. Good wifi. Pleasant service, ready to store your luggage. Good breakfast eith eggs, fruits, juice and bread. Beautiful villa, would stay again.
Cons: Next door family did not control their children, crying and yelling for hours and slamming doors. In such cases personell should take care of the situation. Not only children are clients but other people as well.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast is made to order, and served graciously. We love the location, one block from Supermaxi and one Block from Millenial Mall. There are also excellent restaurants within walking distance, and just a couple of blocks from a large park. The area is safe and friendly for walking around, even at night. The parking for cars is safe and secure.
Cons: Room 202 needs one more table or chair. A table under the TV, or a bench at the foot of the bed would be really nice.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The accommodation was perfect. All new and very good quality and functional. Staff willing. Place pleasantly close to the historical center (10 minutes walk). Within easy reach of supermarket, excellent hospital, quality restaurants (eg Golden Prague, Mexican, etc.). Breakfast is great, if you stay longer, you can ask for pancakes, for example, to increase the variety. During my stay there was a slightly more noisy building beside the Hostel, but I suppose it is temporary. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. I was more than satisfied.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I have stayed here before. The place is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. It is a little bit outside of the town center, but still within walking distance and was very convenient to where I needed to go. It is a short walk to Milenium Plaza and close to Parque de la Madre where there is a jogging track and many people meet to exercise. Nice breakfast with yogurt, fruit, and eggs. Highly recommended.

Okay 4.2
Pros: The driver that picked me up at Guayaquil airport was extremely educated and well informed. The receptionist gave me good tips for visiting the city.
Cons: The driver came to pick me up 2 hours later from the airport because the property didnt read my email on time. In addition, the staff that attended me at the restaurant during breakfast was disrespectful and didnt served me the wrong breakfast.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: It’s in the heart of Cuenca, the hotel is beautiful and the staff makes you feel like home.
Cons: The beds weren’t that comfortable for the price you pay. The food wasn’t that good either, they don’t have 24 hrs room service. I reached 7pm very hungry and there was only sandwiches on the menu.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The photos online did not do this hotel justice. It was even more beautiful in real life! The staff were very welcoming and helpful - definitely exceeded our expectations.
Cons: The Spa area can be improved in terms of having a relaxation area (chairs/sofa etc)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I travel the world in my job. I am top status with Marriott and second to top with IHG. And, I also stay in boutique hotels occasionally. This hotel is fantastic! At the top of my list. Stay here.
Cons: The room was a bit cool at night but I would stay here again in a heartbeat:
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The setting was magical. We stayed in one of the garden rooms and I really just wanted to sit in the garden and literally smell the roses. It was beautiful and very well cared for. The small details were charming-water bottle at night , notes and candies left at turn down in the evenings. We had to leave before expected and the concierge was a HUGE help changing all our flights and hotels
Cons: I entertained a group of friends in the dining room and the food did not match the price or the very nice service. It actually was the worst meal I had on a 2 week trip and was overpriced for the guality of the food.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: It truly is an amazing place, with such a good vibe and a front desk team willing to help with any information that you need. Kind and always with a smile on their faces, Samira and Nico, thank you! I stayed in the dormitory; really huge, comfortable bed and overall hygiene on a high level. It exceeded my expectations and previous experiences!... and Pepe the cat was simply adorable
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: Nothing
Cons: If you want to have some relaxing nights during your holiday don't stay here!! You will have the opportunity between an overpriced room with very noisy windows by the street or rooms with no windows which open to a very loud courtyard. There were glass cubes in the floor in the bathroom which is really disturbing because you can see the light from the room underneath. The staff was not customer orientated at all and the breakfast was one of the worst during our whole ecuador travel.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Quiet and very nice youth hostel with a welcoming patio for relaxing or having breakfast. Friendly staff, available and reactive.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly and enthusiastic staff, they really supported us in all our challenges and needs. The rooms are very comfortable (cosy beds) and clean, we also had hot water. And there is a nice area in front of the reception for hanging out and drinking coffee or tea ( free of charge). The staff speaks English very well.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely hostel right in the centre of Cuenca. Friendly and super helpful staff, amazing common area, great rooms. Lots of info at hand and fab breakfast.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A big comfortable double bed in the shared room. It’s not a dormitory, but a large room in the eaves which is split into a few areas. Really great space. Staff were extremely friendly and helped me out when I had my passport stolen. The manager went out of his way to find the local consul’s contact details and see if I needed any more help
Cons: Be aware that check-in is strictly until 9pm only. It means you must get an early bus as Cuenca is quite far from other places in Ecuador. It’s definitely worth it though
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Frendly staff. Nice room. Hot shower. Good location. Its really nice place! I wanna back again.
Cons: If possible I would use kitchen, but its ok near hostel there are some restaurant.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Incredible staff! Even with the cancellations due to nationwide strikes, they were positive, friendly, and very very helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. And it was great to have lots of natural light in the courtyard. And we felt safe which was important during these times.
Cons: We can’t think of anything we didn’t like.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The dorm is amazing. Double beds for each person, not bunk beds. Free coffee and tea, good internet, sofas in a nice patio. Breakfast bar just 4 dollars and one free hour to use bikes.
Cons: Was perfect.

Pros: We love the old style wood and the charm of the Hotel. The Breakfast is the high point of every day, with the good service and wonderful view. Location is great and the water is hot.
Cons: There was no internet in room 206 most of the time. A tiny room, no desk or table for the room service tray. The room is directly under the kitchen, and is noisy when the breakfast juicer starts up.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful building. The food was very good. The staff very friendly and helpful. I like the location because it was in El Centro close to all the action. Nice lobby with fireplace to sit and relax. Restaurant is very good. Free breakfast is very nice. Very satisfied with our stay.
Cons: Room was a little small, but worth it.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Excellent breakfast
Cons: Too noisy from the bars around
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent hotel. Everything was great and great staff.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The place is very nice with a lot of character great location and an exceptional food served both for breakfast and in the restaurant. Staff was very available and assisted me with calling a doctor, ordering medications and more so I cannot stress how welcome we felt.
Cons: I was not allowed to check out later than the regualar 12h00. As my flight was only at 18h and was travelling with a small baby I found it a nuisance and not the best treatment.
Good 6.3
Pros: The staff at breakfast were lovely. The food was good. Most of the staff throughout were lovely. The garden outside our room was beautiful.
Cons: Our room was a tiny dark room. One of the beds had to be slanted in order to close the door. The lighting was atrocious. The lamp beside the bed had to be unplugged (no switch) to turn on/off; this made it impossible to get up in the dark. The room was cold and dank.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything. I don’t remember the name of one of the waiters at the restaurant, but he is an asset to the restaurant. I told him not to retire because the restaurant will never be the same: great service!
Excellent 9.2
Cons: Breakfast with few options.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice hotel in Cuenca with traditional decoration , seems like old historial

Pros: The locations is very good, the breakfast is superb. The room is very clean, cozy and big enough for a couple. The staff is very polite and helpful.
Cons: The only thing I would change to make it perfect 100% is blackouts in the room. It has good heavy curtains but it is a nice to have: "blackouts".
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Well appointed rooms and very courteous staff. Express laundry is an added advantage
Cons: Breakfast buffet could be bigger

Pros: Location near the main square. Nice hot breakfast served to order every morning.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The bed was big and comfortable, the shower hot and wifi signal strong! We have been travelling through Ecuador for almost two months and this was the best hotel in this price range yet.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: This place was great has everything you need plus a free bottle of water which is a nice touch. The shower was hot which is never a guarantee in Ecuador and the breakfast was good
Cons: The rooms are pretty small, especially the bathroom but for one night it was perfect. I've spent some time in Cuenca before so was just passing through but I'd definitely stay again. The juice at breakfast didn't look nice, definitely not fresh so I avoided it. Maybe some curtains rather than the blinds as they're falling apart a bit
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice place next to center ... quiet. Friendly people taking care of the place and very good advices
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.2
Pros: I loved breakfast, the service and cleanliness.
Cons: No food can be eating in the room.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The breakfast staff was very friendly. The location is good. The bed was huge! Good value for money.
Cons: There was quite a lot of dust in the room. The young man at check-in did not even offer to help us with getting our luggage upstairs. There was no one at the front desk most of our stay. The walls and ceilings are thin, we could hear people walking and talking.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: fantastic location, terrific staff, quiet-and staff helped to keep it that way, with the exception of my first night
Cons: the bathroom sink area is a bit cramped

Excellent 10.0
Pros: It’s a lovely, historic building in the historic part of Cuenca. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was lovely, the rooms were nice and beds comfortable.
Cons: There was a fancy spa tub in our room that was difficult to figure out and taking a simple shower required some strategic water management as there was no shower curtain.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location and the service Luci was wonderful
Cons: No comment
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great location, excellent value for money, the staff were all kind, friendly and very informative. The rooms are a bit small with little ventilation, but fairly comfortable.
Cons: Rooms should have better ventilation
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Good location, good breakfast, fast wifi, friendly staff
Excellent 9.6
Pros: I love the Renaissance period type of decor and traditional setting w hard wood floors and in such a great city w so much character it all goes well together.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This hotel is GORGEOUS! All colonial style with beautiful furniture, painted walls, pristine wood flooring that’s perfectly clean and shiny. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom modern and practical. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast tasty. It’s a 5-minute walk to the cathedral and main square.
Cons: It was all great!
Good 7.9
Pros: The hotel is in a traditional house, with very friendly and helpful staff. The location was excellent and the free overnight parking (8 p.m. until 8 a.m., outside those times at 50c per hour) very welcome. The breakfasts were also good with fresh fruit and eggs. The only drawback is that few of the rooms in the hotel have external windows. They face the walkway within the building. If the lack of privacy/natural light doesn't worry you, the hotel is well recommended.

Pros: Everything was great
Cons: The mattres was old .
Good 6.7
Pros: 1.Near bus station 2. The staff is patient and she solve our prpblems right away. 3. Room is basic for 1 night stay.
Cons: There was a party in the dinning area at night . The guests laughed loudly. The room is close to the dinning area and without enough isolation. So it was very noisy.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Ruth was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room had a nice view of the garden and was spacious with lots of storage and a safe. The shower had hot water and good water pressure. Breakfast included a delicious fruit salad, eggs, bread, real coffee, and fresh juice. Laundry service was $1.50 per kilo and was delivered a few hours later, clean, dry and folded. Housekeeping was amazing, we left the room pretty messy and came back to a spotless and organized room. The hostel is located 0.6 miles away from the bus terminal. It is also pretty close to the historic district. I believe it also has free vehicle off-street parking.
Cons: One edge of the bed sank down and was uncomfortable. We had to sleep on 3/4 of the bed. The location may be an issue if you want to stay in the historic district. They don’t have a visible sign outside so we weren’t sure we were at the right place when we arrived.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The courtyard was beautiful!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: They need a sign on the outside with the name of the place.
Cons: Great gardens
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Close to bus station and airport Modern and comfortable (which most accommodation in the city centre struggled to match) Filling breakfast Good brew kit
Cons: Entry and exit was a little ungainly at times.

Pros: Quiet comfortable stay, nice breakfast, helpful and friendly owner
Cons: It was cold at the time we visited and the extra duvet was a bit dirty otherwise we had a nice stay here!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Gary is a very nice host, who always helps and gives tips what to do, if you want to. One of the cleanest hostels we had in Ecuador. The vegan breakfast is something different compared to the usual breakfast in South America.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The host is very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. He had many good recommendations regarding restaurants and what can be seen in the city. The vegan breakfast was one of the highlights of our tour. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
Okay 5.8
Pros: Overall well kept. Private room feeling. Spacious kitchen. Small markets right around the corner. Small front private garden.
Cons: Water for shower barely hot. Please note no longer breakfast service. Third day there was no internet...and not fixed. And no apology for that.
Okay 4.6
Pros: Gary is very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure talking to him.
Cons: However, there was no breakfast although in the booking it was included. The allegedly good vegan breakfast was the main reason we chose this place. We got only thin blankets so that it was quite cold at night. The bed came with a dead bug and some blonde long hair (I guess from former guests).
Excellent 9.6
Pros: We were only able to stay at Garys place for 2 nights, but it was enough to say that it is a place that makes you feel very homely. You have a living area with lots of interesting books, a nice kitchen and only 4 rooms, which makes the Casa Rumi feel very familiar. Also the shared breakfast adds to that feeling, and how friendly Gary and Drew (he is helping with the place) are. They really know some stories to tell, so don't miss the chance to have a chat. The internet is also working pretty good.
Cons: It was a bit cold at night, but I guess we were just not used to the Andean climate anymore..
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a perfect time. Gerry is so friendly and so nice to talk to. he made us feel like we are at home and provided us with many informations about where to eat or what to do. After so many hostels it was nice to come to a place where you actually felt like coming home. The bathroom was clean, the breakfast was delicious, the beds are comfortable and the location is great (neither too far from the bus terminal nor from the centre). We will happily come again!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very cozy and tidy place. The host is nice and gave good recommendations on what to see, do and where to find good food. The breakfast was excellent; fruits, humitas, bread, coffee/tea, and on the day we left we got nice, hot porridge! Good location near the center. We would go again!
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The atmosphere was amazing and the breakfast was every morning served by the always friendly Garyw
Cons: The location is not right in the center, but it’s a nice walk after waking up and the taxi’s are cheap.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Good recommendations for restaurants and activities Nice house with good bedrooms
Cons: It's not really a hostel, feels more like staying in someone's home
