Pros: Kim was super accomodating - we are vegans and she specifically bought oat milk and snacks for us, and vegan sausages for breakfast. She was so friendly too. The views are amazing from the house. The garden is beautiful, and really peaceful in the evenings. Kim was happy for us to bring our own bottle of something and provided glasses for us to drink it in the garden as the sun set. The bed is incredibly comfy and huge. Shower is one of those rain fall ones (amazing). Kim recommended a great local restaurant with views over the river and exactly what we were looking for to eat. (Fisherman's Cot)

Pros: This is a lovely B&B,and I mean LOVELY!!!! it a proper working sheep farm the views from the breakfast room and bedrooms are to die for just rolling Green hills. The garden slopes down to a track and duck pond. The hosts are amazing people Shelia and Mike they will make your stay so special, nothing is too much trouble the breakfast is amazing cooked to perfection, on our 2nd morning as we're dining out early we were offered croissant's and the other couple staying agreed that they would also have a lighter breakfast on the Sunday morning we has a whole basket of hot Croissants amongst other goodies to choose from. This was just like a break away with friends that you would of thought you had known forever not just the day before. This B&B comes Highly Recommend I can't praise it enough. Please take our advice and book asap you will not be disappointed
Cons: There isn't anything to dislike. One person put there was no parking well please ignore this comment there is plenty of parking,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner (Sheila) was fantastic, a warm and friendly host indeed. Booked me a table at the local(ish) pub for tea. The breakfast was great! Room was spotless and comfortable as was the breakfast room. If I'm ever in that part of the UK again that's where I'll be staying (even if they have no room and i have to sleep in the barn!)
Cons: Nothing! Everything was within or exceed my expectations!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was splendid: a full English served piping hot, with lots of coffee or tea, cereals, fresh orange juice, plentiful proper bread (not yer actual Mother's Pride!) for toast plus jam(s), honey etc. Our room had a huge and very comfy bed, scrupulously clean en suite, tea/coffee-making facilities and biscuits (with gluten-free option as requested) and a lovely view over a beautiful garden and a distant hillside. All this, along with a host and hostess who couldn't do enough to make us feel at home (despite a family bereavement during our stay) made our time at Deepaller Farm one that we will cherish - that is, until our next visit!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was just as it should be.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fantastic, just the way I like it.
Cons: None
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed was so comfortable just a shame only 2 pillows
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a lovely welcome from Shiela when we arrived she offered us tea and biscuits, oh, and cake. then showed us to our room, on the way passing through a joint entrance and breakfast area where there was a microwave and small fridge and kettle if you needed it. The entrance enabled us to come and go as we pleased without interfering with other guests (Great!). The room was great and cozy, Tea & Coffee facilities hairdryer, etc. the bed was massive and comfortable, the room had lots of character and a lovely view through the lowered window onto the garden area and the sheep covered hillside. We had our own bathroom and toilet facility, which was very clean almost new looking. Remember this is a working farm Sheep, Chickens, and Horses, yet it surprisingly very quiet. (I think Mike had put a muffler on his tractor). Sheila showed us the pond area at the end of the garden which is populated with a few ducks and track that we could wander down if desired. Oh! If you have never tried a farmhouse breakfast then try Sheila's, especially with the freshly laid golden eggs from there hens. You can see that Sheila & Mike takes great pride in their work to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend this as a peaceful hidden gem in the Devon countryside.
Cons: Absolutely nothing, it met our expectations.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Their own fresh farm eggs, very good choice of breakfast cooked to order and served promptly. Owners Mike and Sheila extremely welcoming and anxious to please. Farmhouse in lovely gardens with beautiful surrounding fields, trees and wildlife ponds sheep, horses and friendly dogs.Only the sounds of birds and rustling leaves to greet you after a great sleep in a most comfortable bed. En-suite bathroom with spacious, powerful shower and modern suite I’m 6’ 4” so although cottage has charming exposed beams you do need to take care and mind your head in one or two places!! Otherwise can only recommend this highly as it offers so much more than the usual b&b standard accommodation in an idyllic setting. Would definitely be more than happy to stay there again in the future
Cons: Can’t think of anything which we didn’t like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a perfect stay and would highly recommend staying here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Shelia was lovely made our stay a delight
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sheila made us feel like friends rather than strangers on first contact, a very friendly person. We were made to feel at home straight away, she showed us where everything in the dining room was, and told us to use it when ever we wanted to, and there would be milk in the fridge if needed. We were taken to our room, which was very comfortable looking, bright and airy, with a lovely view of the garden and surrounding fields. The en-suite had a fabulous shower hot and powerful, plus the little extras. We arrived early evening, and Sheila took the trouble to phone her local, to see if they could fit us in for a meal, nothing was too much trouble for her. Our traditional breakfast was very good and tasty, if it was up to Sheila, we would have ended up with a lot more on the plate
Cons: To be really honest, there isn’t a thing I could say about the accommodation that I didn’t like, only that we wish that we could have stayed longer.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was attending a Wedding at Huntsham Court over a weekend. I looked for a comfortable B & B nearby. Soon after I booked, I had a call from Alison confirming my booking and recommending the best route to get there, as GPS will take you down one-way Devon lanes, you don't want to experience. They also recommended a taxi firm. On arrival, I was met by Alison and taken to my room, which was very clean. well- decorated and well-equipped. I opted out of breakfast. Both Dave and Alison were lovely hosts,: always prepared chat and assist. There is adequate parking, a beautiful garden and rural views. It is quiet and peaceful, but easily accessible to Tiverton and the Atlantic Highway.
Cons: Nothing.

The propert is idyllic, a lovely old thatched cottage surrounded by countryside, rolling hills and horses. Pleasant greeting on arrival, and then a second welcome and tour when the host, Lucinda arrived back. Everything in the property is very tasteful, while the bedroom may appear simple, there is a real understated luxury here with many subtle personal touches. The mini kitchen downstairs is very well equipped, with the best tea and coffee selection I've ever seen. The bathroom was great too. Very quiet at night and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great, Lucinda's speciality scrambled eggs were delicious, all kinds of cereals, yoghurts and pastries, plus a huge array of homemade preserves. Lucinda is the perfect host, attentive and caring without being fussy. A very peaceful rural retreat that takes you away from everyday life, I hope to stay here again soon.

5.5 Okay
Pros: Garden and Conservatory
Cons: Slow staff in. restaurant, Breakfast was served that should have not made its way onto my plate. ie: breakfast, the poached eggs were overcooked and made well in advance of arriving on my plate. Cant believe they even thought it was ok to serve. The following breakfast, I requested some tomato sauce to which it arrived with little left on my plate. I mean, how long does it take to go and get some sauce......not acceptable. I could have gone and got some myself if it was available to collect.

5.5 Okay
Pros: Staff were very helpful & friendly.
Cons: Very, very disappointed with the size of the room for price charged. It felt like we were sleeping in a closet.Found it hard to relax in the cramped surroundings. There wasn't a full length mirror so I found it hard to get ready for wedding. I had booked another room for my sister & husband which was slightly bigger. I was charged almost the same price for our closet.

Pros: The food and staff: both very good. The guest pantry was a great feature. Bampton is a pleasant village.
Cons: He bathroom was large and well equipped, but the bedroom whilst comfortable was so small that there was nowhere to put our cases. There was just room to get along one side of the bed and out the door!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The tea and coffee self-service area was a great touch and had everything I could have wanted including sweets! I also ate in the restaurant where the food was fab.
Cons: Personally I would have liked breakfast to have been available earlier then 8:30am.

Pros: Amazing place, beautifully set in a cosy little Village, the staff are amazing and very friendly, our room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfy, everything we have seen has been spotless, unfortunately we never had the pleasure off eating in the restaurant as we was at a Wedding but the Breakfast was amazing, this is a little gem and I’m sure we will be back to stay shortly Thank You all The Ginger Peanut

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Busiest weekend of the year apparently and staff were very pushed but extremely friendly. Breakfast was good value for money but I wonder what our continental friends thought of the 'Continental Breakfast' which lacked any cheese, cold meats etc. My 'classic; breakfast though was all that I would have wished! Location on the edge of the river was lovely
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Been many times, gorgeous setting, fab food and the staff, particularly Jenny, were all brilliant. Fab room and the bed was soooo comfy!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, great food, clean and comfortable room and friendly staff
Cons: Nothing at all!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Not much
Cons: Cleanliness, bathroom, tv in the most ridicules place, utter filthy patio area joining room, I could go on but not enough time or space on this form
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed comfy. Staff friendly. Setting was wonderful, the outside patio was just the thing we needed for our stay the sound of the water just helped you to relax and unwind. There was a fan in our room which was very thoughtful as it was quite a hot day and just helped to cool the air. We had breakfast there which we both enjoyed. As we drove away I said to my husband that's the place for us to escape to when we need a break. Will certainly be retuning
Cons: Our room had a door on to a balcony, although I don't think this was used as a sitting area,we would have loved a couple of chairs on there just to drink our last coffee of the day and watch the world go by.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Patio outside room could have been cleaner
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Food was extremely poor - discount breakfast and child friendly dinner-options (no flavouring whatsoever)! Everything in the room felt a bit sticky and overall nasty. Water in the shower stopped by itself. Three tv channels. Staff seemed uninterested (except for morning-staff: they were friendly and welcoming). Hoovering took place around us when eating breakfast. But the place was very busy in the evenings and the locals seem to like it. There’s a nice out door area where you can enjoy the bird life. Sadly that’s about it!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Central location to surrounding area tourist attractions. Nicely renovated old former Vicarage, spacious comfortable rooms with all modern facilities. Pleasant, quiet leafy surroundings. Welcoming and helpful hosts.
Cons: Location does limit external dining opportunities

Cons: No staff no reception
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner couldn't apologise more and made me feel I should stay, nice comfortable room with great views.
Cons: No restaurant and bar only opens at the discretion of the owner, no one to great me on arrival and I had to wait an hour before they arrived. Breakfast is not included in the price and must be booked when checking in, no cooked breakfast available but a nice continental.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast which we paid an additional £5 each for. There was plenty of fruit, yoghurt cereal toast and jam. The room we had was a family room which was very spacious and comfortable with an ensuite shower room.
Cons: Could hear some noise from road but thats to be expected. Was ok with window shut.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We didn't stop for breakfast. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. There was an excellent shower in a large shower cubicle. There was ample car parking. The lady owner was very helpful and friendly
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean, cosy and quirky. Really quiet and peaceful area.
Cons: Nothing to complain about
5.5 Okay
Pros: It was in a convenient location to break a journey to Cornwall. The proprietor gave us helpful information about where we could eat locally.
Cons: We were expecting to be able to enjoy a hot meal, draft beer and a cooked breakfast but only offered an overpriced basic continental breakfast. The kitchen was closed and the pumps in the bar were not in use. We had, had a long journey I was hoping for facilities in the accommodation rather than having to drive two miles up the road. It was explained to us that the 17th Century Hotel catered mainly now for "Events". This didn't seem very clear on the website. Windows and separate Bathroom Door didn't shut and there was a lot of noise from the road. Near a busy Quarry.
7.5 Good
Cons: Hard to find staff, but we were late in and early out
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After the fiasco of our first visit and the hotel going above and beyond (and not being able to edit my original review) I thought it only fair to include it on this review too. There was a mix up on booking.com with the paypal payment/breakfast. Leonora quickly contacted me and sorted those out for us. No problems this time. When our director works in that particular area, he looks forward to staying at the 17th Century Hotel. Good value, clean and comfortable

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bedrooms clean, comfortable and well equipped. The biscuits, dog bowl and blanket plus dog walking info sheet was a lovely touch. Bar well stocked with gin varieties and the Cod Loin and Chips were very well cooked and delicious. Staff were super helpful. Excellent value and top class service
Cons: Perhaps decor a bit dated
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Ideal location for our itinerary
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: We arrived at 11pm and were met by a very friendly member of staff. Our room was as far away from reception as was possible. The corridors leading to the room smelt musty. The room itself was of a good size but smelt of stale urine, I don’t believe this room has been updated in a while. If you ever need to show someone 80’s decor, this is the place for you. Flowery pelmets, patterned carpets, pictures from Athena, dated bathroom suite and a shower that you need to run about in to get wet. I do believe the mattress has been there since the 80’s too, it had absolutely no support, we had the worst sleep in ages and a lovely backache. I took these matters up with Reception but no manager, I was told to email the manager as there was no Duty manager, even on a weekday at 10.30am. Would not recommend at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food both quality and value for money. Exceptionally clean and friendly look and feel to the entire hotel.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel was spotlessly clean and about from the one waitress on Sunday the staff was friendly and welcoming
Cons: The only things we didn't like were the shower didn't have alot of pressure so we held the shower head to help with the flow. Also we opted to have the Sunday Carvery looked lovely but was cold. And just one member of staff who showed us to our table on Sunday wasn't very helpful and had a little bit of attitude. But the rest of the staff in all areas were lovely
7.5 Good
Pros: Large room
Cons: Shower not very good
6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was comfy, room was big wide and plenty of space. Clean large towels
Cons: Pillows - too hard , no choice, The hotel facade and decor has seen better days, but overall value for money
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness and ease of access, great menu
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and reception great with advice where to get to local supermarket to stock up for our holiday supplies
Cons: Lady in next room came to us saying our tv was too loud, but it wasn’t. We are always careful when staying anywhere
