Nice clean room. Friendly, if somewhat young staff. Decent breakfast. Wanted jacuzzi in room. Couldnt change due to online booking.
Relaxing with good access to many good restaurants in walking distance.
Clean rooms, modern furnishings, friendly staff, great place to stay for tired travelers, close to restaurants and gas. This was my second stay here, everything was great, but when I went down to eat the next morning what last time was a well maintained breakfast buffet I found no plates or silverware, no bread or pastries, and no coffee. Apparently the 6:00am Rush wiped the place out. After eating some sausage and biscuits out of a cereal bowl with my fingers, the breakfast staff appeared and began to replenish everything, too late for me..not a good enough reason to not stay here again, I will continue to stay here in the future. 4.75 stars this time!
Room was clean and, although in the back building nearest the freeway, was not too noisy. Breakfast was good, the staff was friendly and the facility was convenient to UC Davis.
Altho the hotel is next to a freeway you would never know. Its quiet And comfortable. Kind of secluded but with alot of close places to eat. I had a great stay I have no bad things to say
Clean large rooms great price and nice staff Hard beds and terrible pillows
The hotel seemed new and everything about it is what a 2-3 star hotel should be. Simple no extra frills but it was super clean the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
Nice staff and facility. Pretty new hotel, our room had a couch, it was a nice place for a hundred bucks. No complains.
Some staff very friendly Second time staying there where STAFF STOLE FROM MY ROOM. PAPER THIN WALLS.
The couple who ran the motel were very helpful and nice. The location was very close to hwy 80 allowing easy commute to UC Davis. There were some amenities: a continental breakfast, pool, refrigerate and microwave in the room. Overall good value. The bed mattress quality was cheap and I could feel metal wires beneath thin mattress top. Half the TV channels have bad static making them inaccessible.
I do believe that when you are well treated, everything else is a plus. But this time not only the treatment was incredible. Everything was great. I will go back every time I come there with or without my family. It was lovely and the staff amazing!!! Thanks! I liked everything :)
Bed and mattress were unclean. Very disgusting.
The parking was close to my room The floor was sticky, the bathtub wouldn't drain and the on/off valve came off in my hand. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I had ever slept on.
Front staff so lovely!
friendliness, very clean, pool, close to HWY uncomfortble bed
Very friendly staff at this budget motel. Easy freeway access. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Because of the price I knew that I should not have high expectations, but there was nothing in particular that stood out or that I was "unhappy" with. Modest and price accordingly.
I did not like anything unfortunately. No refund was given because of bed bugs in the facility.
Location. Breakfast was not good. One morning there was nothing available. Another there were no plastic forks etc. it was the same cold scrambled eggs every day. It was not very clean. Glasses were sticky. My room was not tended to one day despite my being gone for over eight hours during the day. When I called to let them know and asked for clean glasses I was told that it would take at least 45 minutes to bring them up. They also charge ten dollars a day extra for parking even though it is a rural hotel with plenty of parking. I have stayed there before and it was a bit better. I will not stay there again. It is very expensive and really not worth it.
The morning breakfast is fantastic, the rooms were clean and modern and very friendly staff. there's is an actual train
When we left the Hyatt and wee done with it We asked for a quiet room and were placed as far from the lobby as possible with our room facing the freeway and train!! There idea of quiet is being away from the elevator!! The heater was VERY noisy and kept me up all night!! We asked for early check in and they couldn't accommodate us. The receptionist was not friendly and made us wait without telling us she was done with us. She should not work there!! The pre check in on Kayak was a waste of time. We will NEVER stay there again!! I have tried to communicate our displeasure with Hyatt but could not find a contact email.
Hot tub. Pool Everything was too dirty and rundown. Room was kind of dated. Could tell it's been heavily utilized because of the worn down carpet and overall condition of the room.
Located at the south end of a dead-end street, away from the noise of the freeway, seemed to be in a safe area, very close to a variety of restaurants and shops. The bed was amazingly comfortable; wouldn't mind one for my own home! A "suite" denotes to me a 2-room set-up, with the bedroom entirely separate from the main "living" area. This is not the case with the "suites" at this hotel. It's basically a standard size motel/hotel room with a partial half-wall separating the bed from the "living" area. My spouse likes to sleep in; I'm an earlier riser. I couldn't even make coffee using the in-room coffee maker without awakening him. This is not a "suite" in my book and to call it such is deceptive.
Indoor pool Breakfast ends at 9 a.m., Not 9:03 practically kicked us out of breakfast area.Beds were uncomfortable. We both woke up with back aches.Jacuzzi was loaded with bubbles
Could hear guests next door easily.
The bed was nice and the bathroom was clean. We stayed in a non-smoking room, which still smelled like smoke. The hallway reaked of both cigarettes and marijuana. As soon as you step out of the elevator it just hits you, and the cleaning staff were listening to loud music on their phones in the morning which woke me and my husband up. Considering the fact that we were recovering from a long drive, we were very unhappy with the fact that it was easily heard through the door. Would not recommend for a family what so ever, not even for a traveling couple like us.
The mattresses were comfortable. Sheets were clean. I reserved the room in January for a stay in June, they didn't want to honor the room rate. They gave us a hard time but eventually did. We reserved a room with a king size bed but was given given a room with 2 queen sized beds. The room hadn't been very well cleaned, sticky stuff on the dresser surface and on the rug. The bed spreads had some small marks/stains and the walls were marred
The room was clean and the layout was very modern and also comfortable. I like the desk set up, for working. The spaciousness and clean design of the room was very relaxing and peaceful. The staff was very professional and friendly. I wish the bathroom was a little more spacious.
great value - clean - helpful and friendly staff
The staff was friendly and professional. The facilities were clean and the breakfast buffet was well stocked. The cleaning supplies used in the rooms left a very powerful smell in the room for many hours. The pillows were very small and worn out.
Nice clean quiet Nothing
The whole place was very very clean! As a total germ phobic mother a huge thing for me is cleanliness of the room. Our was wonderful the staff was great and the breakfast was very good for a free continental! My 6 year loved the pool and hot tub! We have season passes to six flags and plan on staying here at least once a month for our fun overnight family fun! Not a big deal but there was so many people having breakfast they ran out of tables and places to sit! We ended up outside by pool which was quite lovely !
Carpet in stairs is so worn out it looks filthy, our room stinks as you open it, I think is not due to it not been clan, rather I think it is chemicals to clean up, and it was for of us and always had to ask for towels because they only gave us three, in our trip we stayed at Double Tree by Hilton Sonoma, Hyatt Place Ontario, Courtyard by Marriott Vacaville and as I am writing this we are at Hilton Garden Inn in Redding, and my only regret was picking up the Courtyard by Marriott in Vacaville.
Quiet, lots of shopping. Lots No breakfast, the bristol they have there is just package food which is overpriced. Weird smell as you walk in.
Facilities were excellent They do not have an elevator
We were very pleased with the complimentary breakfast: everything from freshly made waffles to custom omlettes. Train tracks are close and that will bother some, but not our family
Staff was super helpful and aired my room. I get migraines and the aired room didn't bother me. The location was perfect to park and walk, or ride bikes, all over Davis and the campus. We window shopped and had a huge selection of restaurants and coffee shops. We brought our road bikes, and the elevator accommodated two of us well and was super convenient in relation to car, lobby, and room. Decor was light and tasteful. Lobby was neat with art exhibition. Breakfast was fantastic.Good coffee. Bee Kind products (though I couldn't use them due to scent). The train was no bother. AC worked great. Fridge, microwave, plus a Keurig were useful and clean. Loved keeping car out of sun in their parking garage. Carpet issues - I stepped in something soapy/sticky in my socks, and there were a few dirt spots a good steam cleaning would fix. The sheets would be soft if it weren't for the slight beading, though it didn't keep me from sleeping well.
The large size room and the breakfast. Everything was just fine.
The downtown Davis location is great, although too close to the railroad! The cocktail hour and the breakfast are nice. The parking situation is tough. We had to park in public parking, and were very lucky to find a spot there.
The staff was exceptional, we felt taken care of right after we booked and checked on our reservations via phone. Great breakfast area very inviting and the food was good too. Would stay here again. Thanks.
I liked that it was close to the freeway. Room seemed outdated. Graffiti/etchings in furniture was trashy. Bathroom toilet sprays water on your legs when it flushes. Pillows were not comfortable. Front desk guy was not very friendly.
Bed height was better than imagined it would be making transfers in this handicap room. Bathroom didn't have a counter so the extra table was a little difficult.
Over all great stay Beds could be a little softer
Very professional and friendly staff.
Staff was friendly. Orbitz booked me for two rooms (only wanted to book one, only got confirmation about one), but the front desk upon check in cancelled the second one with no problems. The hotel is right along the highway, and the windows did nothing to block out the sound of the cars. The real kicker was the internet didn't work the entire time i was there. I was there for a conference at UC Davis and needed internet to for work in the evenings. Couldn't maintain a connection, front desk offered no solutions. The coffee maker was broken (missing a piece) and the rooms were very dark.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful
The remodeled rooms are large and comfortable.
Filthy Run Down Dim lighting Incompetent Staff
Especially liked the service & the generous breakfast. The floor didn't have carpet & the room next door looked like it had been broken into.
Free breakfast was ok and was close to uc Davis and freeways The restroom was falling apart shower was in bad shape and pool was in bad shape also it wasn't functional
I liked the layout of the place it has been my favorite place to stay for our night outs for a long time now and I am very disappointed in them these last couple nights. I love the shutters on the Windows in the 3rd building and the way they keep there pool sparkling clean. Where do I start... well the staff to begin with was very rude we got to breakfast with my 3year-old son 2 minutes (9:02) late and the front desk attendant that had been there all night claimed she did not have the keys to open up any of the food that she had just put away 2 minutes ago. Wich we new was a lie She just didn't want to hassle with us and made it very clear... the next night we stayed they put us in a non-smoking room but when we arrived it was so stuffed up and smelled like an ashtray I couldn't even breath no way I was going to have my son there. We did get a new room but when we got to the new one we encountered many more problems... TV was broken (took them 2 hours to bring us a new one) bathroom was dirty (hairs on the toilet seat) many other places in the room wee disgusting like it hadn't been cleaned all the way... we contacted the staff and corporate and neither could offer us a solution... this time the front fest attendant was extremely rude! She even ended our conversation with pretty much telling me to F* off... really who does that?
Clean, friendly staff, very comfortable bed. The ice machine is awardly located.
Decent breakfast. Easy central location for reason I was there. Very respectable staff that solved any discrepancies. Bathroom shower didn't keep water in. Left water on floor, despite shower curtain properly installed. I recognize its California, but price still seemed high for locale.
Nice room. Very quiet everything worked well Breakfast was basic but nice
Love this location in Davis. Have stayed at most of the hotels near UC Davis and this works in terms of location and quiet night hours - in general. You can walk to restaurants, businesses and Farmer's Market with ease. Recently renovated, very clean.
Location. Smell. Trash was not emptied was full of moldy pasta. Also, the toilet had a phantom flush every 15 minutes. The plumbing in the cottage we were in was rather noisy.

Very clean and comfortable. Terrific location in downtown Davis. Quiet.bikes available tomorrow. Very friendly and professional staff. No
Hotel was recently remodeled. Staff was very nice and the free breakfast was great. Had to keep the window open due to fumes from the remodel. Once that dissipates this hotel will be great!
Nice clean room, though rather small. It was hard to walk past the desk chair to get across the room. Bed was very comfortable. Nice breakfast. Right in town so easy walking. A bit close to train tracks.
Newly remodeled rooms. Great breakfast. Some of the doors leading in and out were unlocked and didn't require a key to get in. Felt a bit unsafe.
The room was modern and comfortable. It was convenient. Breakfast options were fine. I was nervous when I saw the earplugs but it wasn't too loud
breakfast was good. Did not live up to the pics online. You know it's a bad sign when there are 4 sets of earplugs on the table in the room. mariachi at the Mexican food place across the way and road noise. Room was small the sink was.in the room not the bathroom.

The room was very nice! We stayed 3 nights and our sheets never got changed even though we did not put the card on the beds like you were supposed to if you did not need them changed. When I am staying in a hotel room, one of the perks for me is getting into fresh sheets.
The room looked nice & clean, very welcoming Nothing, everything exceeded my expectations.
The air was cold, the rooms smelled clean, employees did their best to make it right. It was quiet, and there were tons of restaurants and entertainment near by. Carpet was so filthy, the bottom of our feet were black after walking on carpet. Lots of construction crews use this place to lodge workers. Pool was closed in July and also very dirty. Breakfast was very simple and in unimpressive. The coffe was cold. Also, seems some people actually live there.
Friendly staff, location and parking, grounds, affordable. No in room coffee and breakfast room did not open till 7am. Tend to be an early riser.
When we arrived to the hotel, we were not registered. We had a copy of the confirmation and the person was nice enough to take us as walk-ins. Fortunately there was rooms available, if not we would had been without a room. There should be more responsibility when registering someone because you have to understand one needs a hotel room when away from home and we are trusting the website.
The staff was really very nice. There was a mistake with the online room booked I was told but the hotel Honored the booking. Right down town Davis, perfect for walking to local shops , morning coffee and dinner.
I stayed at the Palm Court during a 3-day UC Davis new student orientation session, and found the peace and quiet away from the campus hubbub refreshing. This hotel was clean, updated, with most of the amenities you'd expect in a brend-new cookie-cutter type chain hotel - but with the random charm of an older property. My suite was roomy, comfortable, with a very nice updated bath-shower and separate bedroom and living rooms with individual flat panel tvs and reliable wireless high speed internet throughout. The only thing lacking was a microwave and a stocked minibar, but the refrigerator was useful and there was a wet bar sink/counter in the living area. The sofabed/couch was what you'd expect, not too comfy for sitting, and i didn't test the sleeping comfort. Overall, a quiet, comfortable, clean, and charming downtown hotel, in a safe neighborhood, within walking distance of lots of restaurants and galleries, etc. It's possble to walk to the UC Davis campus, but I wouldn't recommend it except during mild weather (as I found out the hard way). 12-15 minute driving time to central campus, easy I-80 and Amtrak access. I didn't try the bar or restaurant on the property, but they looked inviting. Underground free parking is a big plus. I would stay here again.
Great experience, the reviews lead me astray but I'm overall satisfied with my hotel choice. Enjoyed the amenities. Disappointed that the hot tub wasn't hot, or even warm. The knob was on, but no jets. Sad, because I only booked this place for the hot tub and for the decent price.
Rooms updated, great location and great staff Poor workmanship, doors stick or hard to close and construction debris everywhere
We had the suite with three beds and that was nice since we were traveling with 5 adults. The breakfast was very good and lots of choices. The staff was very helpful when we had questions.. Chris (girl) was very nice and helpful when we checked in with the items we needed. The air was in a strange place and hard to change temperture. So, moving that would be helpful. Since this room had a microwave and frig and table for eating would be nice and maybe a small counter to put food and items.
Very good for a motel, provided filter coffee, big tv with loads of channels, very comfortable
Nothing I booked a non-smoking room, when I arrived a was given a smoking room. I told the night clerk that I had booked a non-smoking room. She said that once the rooms fill-up it is first come first serve for the non-smoking rooms. I confirmed this policy with the manager and she said that this is their policy. I could not sleep because the room reeked of cigarette smoke. After I left all my clothes and luggage reeked of cigarette smoke. I had to wash all of my clothes and shower in the next place I stayed to get the smell out. The advertising is very deceptive. Beware!
I loved it. Thank you Kim Lillian not sure of the young Latino Man and Young Girl with the cute pink hair. Your staff was wonderful n helpful. Ths Hotel was worth every penny spent. Loved Breakfast. The fast help wen needed. Inside was clean neat everything in its place. Rooms was clean n decent. Bathrooms clean...loved the new carpets. Can't wait see the suite up grades..... No complaints. James Douglass and Alice Grimes enjoyed their stay and will be returning...
Pillows very comfortable. Rooms were clean. Hotel is old and needs undating. It did not meet what I consider to be Best Western's standards. Shower head difficult to adjust to avoid much of the water dripping straight down. Shower handle loose in wall. Some furniture was soiled. Traffic noise was audible through the bathroom vent.
Do not gooooo to this hotel The hotel!!!!
People were friendly and the place was clean Not really
Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Beds not comfortable. You could hear every sound outside because the door was not weather stripped or insulated. The guy next door opened and closed his door every hour which woke me up all night. I think he may have been going out to smoke at 3 and 4 in the morning.
