10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice rooms and very friendly staff even on a very busy Saturday evening they many to fit our group of 8 in for food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very close to the Mawdach Trail - great for cycling and seeing the sights between Dollgelau and Barmouth.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is good, the staff are all friendly, food is great. Serve some good ales and quality pint too. It also has parking to the rear, the room was pleasant and I couldn’t make breakfast at 8am as I had to leave early, so they made me a pack up. I was really impressed with this. Highly recommended hotel.
Cons: Just the church bell ringing at 4am, but this is out of control of the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole atmosphere of the place. Elegant but at the same easy going. Has an air of quality/history about it Staff v friendly and helpful Room & bathroom seemingly re-furbed recently and tastefully done. Both very comfortable.
Cons: For those not wanting the customary ‘fry-up’ options at breakfast the alternatives were limited. Limited customer parking spaces and, during my stay, most filled by staff and contractor vehicles working in the hotel.

Pros: Really enjoyed the whole place will be going back again
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location. Friendly staff.
Cons: Pricey bar food. Room was smaller than we expected and poor layout/plastic chairs and poor lighting etc. Breakfast was a bit lacklustre - small range of cereals, no self selection - all ordered off menu and a bit slow.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything except as stated below
Cons: Quirky shower controls difficult to understand how to operate. Later found explanation in Brochure! Still found pointless the quirky styling and operation. Plenty of simple power showers available. Towel radiator did not work and had a leaking valve. Stains on floor from leak. Instructions on Bathroom heating not applicable - no switch outside bathroom etc. Thermostat outside did not bring heating on.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming, helpful and friendly
Cons: NA
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had supper, which was very good, and breakfast also, although service was a little slow. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Having to carry a heavy suitcase up a flight of stairs to the entrance, then up two flights of stairs to get to our room, was difficult. The room was lovely and the bed very comfy. However, the beautiful modern bed had a timber frame with a shelf all round which stuck out at shin level. it was difficult to avoid when walking round the bed and we now have several bruises as a result. Particularly difficult (and painful) when half asleep in the dark! Every thing else was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All fab! staff, location, food etc. staff uber professional.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent

Pros: This is a super place to stay. The family rooms with kitchen facilities are just perfect for being able to sort out lunches and dinners especially when you are staying with kids. We always have a cooked breakfast which is fab and gets you off to a good start with both cooked and cereal options. The rooms are very clean and cosy especially in winter, the staff are lovely and cook an excellent breakfast. You can walk the dog round the area. We stay here every winter whilst we are walking around the mountains of wales. Love visiting the place and will continue to do so for as long as we can.
Cons: Nothing, its such a nice place.

7.0 Good
Cons: Room 6. Window to left of door very noisy in wind. (as viewed from inside) Very small wash basin in corner below cupboard. Very difficult to clean teeth over. Plenty of room to accommodate larger one. Room number screws right through door leaving sharp points. New pillows perhaps. Bed linen a bit 'tired'. No marmalade at breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast. Nice shower. Great location. Friendly helpful staff.
Cons: Bed... would have preferred a double bed.. instead was two singles pushed together.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked this place in last minute after our flight to Czech was cancelled due coronavirus and it definitely delivered closed to beautiful walks , absolutely stunning nature and great stay + tasty breakfast if we coming to wales we will be definitely staying again
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is great also near a garage for fuel etc off the main road so it's quiet too.
Cons: It was a bit noisey at first with the owners kids shouting but it did die down but you could hear people checking in and they tended to slam the door shut which kept waking us up. Last time we stayed we had one of the outside rooms which was lovely and quiet and away from the reception. As we were travelling from East Anglia to Aberystwyth we wanted a quiet room so we could just sleep wake up early and continue our journey.

Pros: Beautifully furnished and sited hotel with elegant and well appointed rooms. Staff were welcoming and efficient. Dinner and wines were excellent
Cons: Although minor I’m sure would readily have been made available but a selection of teas and filter coffee or a coffee machine in the room rather than instant would have been nice and expected in a hotel such as this. More bedding (e.g. quilt) would also have been appreciated.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation is lovely, warm and comfortable in a quaint and quiet location. Great central point for exploring north wales. The staff were all lovely, and the breakfast was of great quality. There is a very friendly cat at the venue. Didn’t bother me or my partner in the slightest but anyone with an allergy may need to be aware.
Cons: Only disappointing point is the hot tub is outdoors.. not ideal for a raining spring trip but on a nice day it would be perfect. Access to the venue is via a very narrow high walled road. Fine for a confident driver and a standard size car. Luckily my partner is a confident driver (unlike myself)

9.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely guest house, full of character and charm. Jan and Julie are lovely hosts, very friendly and forthcoming with lots of useful information about how to make the most of your stay in the area, even when the weather was horrendous ! The rooms are very well equipped, and it's such a nice touch to have fresh milk in the room for a mandatory (in my world) cuppa first thing, but the fudge and welsh cakes as well just made it that bit more thoughtful.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, parking & the hosts left butter, milk & a loaf which was very welcome.
Cons: Unfortunately the weather was cold & damp. The cottage was cold even with all the heating on.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in Cottage. Amazing location. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We had much more than we expected at the property milk, butter, fresh bread etc etc... The property itself is beautiful with historic architecture and lots of character. There are a few shops in walking distance such as Spar which is a huge convenience.
Cons: As a person with dust allergies I had a hard time wheezing and sneezing most of time there as I found it very dusty, there were cobwebs in a lot of places too. I would recommend anyone with a dust allergy to make sure to remember your inhaler and antihistamine. Another issue we encountered is that the property is not well insulated as it feels very cold in the winter. Even with the heaters on the temperature at night is really cold. Luckily we resolved this issue by using an oil heater the next night provided in the property. We would probably stay again upon speaking to the hosts regarding the dust Prior to arrival and most likely in the warmer months.

Pros: Everything! A beautiful cottage, in a beautiful location - I love Dolgellau! We stayed for 2 nights. On our arrival there was bread, butter, milk and welsh cakes - which was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend. And would book again
Cons: There was nothing that I didn't like. But as a suggestion. We could have done with more kindling available, to start the fire.
