The location was just perfect.
Reception was across the road from where we were staying. No breakfast facilities. Room big but bathroom small and sink in bedroom only. Fire door outside bedroom fixed in open position even though notice on door read ‘keep closed’.
No lift / elevator to access to the higher floor
Not ideal for international travellers arriving after midnight when not only reception closes but even the telephone goes to voicemail. After waiting in the street I managed to get into the hallway of the entrance where I saw a notice directing carriers to an adjacent building. I went there and after an interval a night porter arrived and I got in just as I was on the point of calling a taxi to take me to another hotel.Nice hotel and nice staff but clearly something missing in its general management. One expects hotels in what is now a 24/7 city to have at least two 24/7 telephone attendance when their receptionists are off-duty.
Lovely helpful staff, very clean, newly renovated
Not too much actually.
No breakfast served. Room was too small. Asked for ground level room. Had to climb three floors.
