The building that is now known as Buswells Hotel dates back to the 1800s. Prior to taking on its current name, it was known as the Queen's Institute for the Training and Employment of Educated Women. The first of it's kind on European soil; this groundbreaking college was founded by Dublin businessman Henry Walker Todd and Mrs. Anne Jellicoe, a campaigning Quaker from Mountmellick. By the 1880s the venue had become known as Buswell's Hotel.
Today, the hotel is styled with an elegant and European flare. The windows are draped with luxurious linens, patterned furniture is spread throughout the building and elegant chandeliers and lamps can be found in each room.
