Food and freindliness not applicable
Pleasant ambience with comfortable bedroom and evidence of recent refurbishment, good sporting or entertaining locus with decent food and wine.
Convenient for visit to area Food not up to expectation, dissapointing menu
Pleasant surroundings One hour from sitting down to dinner until food served
The food Service slightly slow
Situated on the main road of quiet village, a first class hotel in which to celebrate that special occasion. 2AA Rosettes breakfast menu too! As the hotel name suggests, the focus is on the à la carte restaurant rather than holidaying guests. Small off-road car parking area.
The evening meal was first class as was the breakfast. We also really liked the position of the hotel across from the village green. We found the bed in the lovely bedroom a little too soft for our tastes but this is no-one's fault but rather our own need for a firmer mattress.
Lovely room and very pleasant staff. Good food. The room decorated with fish wallpaper!!!
Fantastic Food, friendly helpful staff. Although a little small, the room was well furnished, and very comfortable.
From the artistic breakfast to the glorious views, the friendly, charming hosts made us feel right at home.
the restful ambience, situation and proprieters of guest house and was a good base for exploring the surrounding tourist destinations as well as the places of interest a little more off the beaten track.
we were received a warm welcome and the hotel was in a lovely tranquill location.
Owners of the one green hope cottage were such lovely people and made our stay very personal. £75 is probably too much to pay for a night as I would love to stay there a week but that would be very pricey! Maybe a deal for more than two nights would be good for marketing.
We absolutely loved the whole package - things could not have been easier for us - the friendliness of the staff and the beauty of the whole area was amazing No
The owners bill and alison were very friendly people the location was excellent the service was firstclass we would stay again
Quiet and restful, fabulous scenery, excellent breakfasts.
Exellent quiet location. Good local walking
Comfortable room, value for money Couldn't check in when it suited us had to wait for owner and arrange a time.
Close to wedding venue and church. It's in the centre of the village and so close to shops and a good thai restaurant. Comfortable room. The owner didn't have our booking. Kitchen was filthy. One shower failed to work. Hot water only provided first thing in the morning.
Didnt get a chance to find out The owner of this property called me days before my stay and asked me to stay at another property miles away form the wedding I was attending in duns as she had secured another booking.just because you book months in advance dont bank on staying there if they get a better offer.
The owner was very helpful and accomodating which made our journey less stress free allowing us to arrive at a wedding on time and well turned out
Close to the venue that we were visiting. Large bedroom. Good size fridge and freezer and suitable kitchen. Friendly and busy location. Spacious interior. No hot water after 10am. The television in the bedroom did not work, it had no ariel lead. The upstairs shower did not turn on. It was expensive. Lack of loo paper so best to take your own. You must telephone before you arrive.
We found the Bank House, Duns to be ideal for what we wanted from an overnight stay. It was clean, comfortable, well-appointed and moderately priced.
Clean room No en-suite, no facilities, neither of which was clear in the informtion on the internet at the time of booking. The only contact from the operators was a phone call giving us the access code and telling us to ring them if there were any problems.
