Pros: The photos showed that it looked as if it was located on the water.
Cons: I thought the breakfast should have been much heartier and various.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful place for a wonderful stay! I was looking for a solo getaway, and Beth and Christina made my whole week at Seven exactly what I wanted - rest, relaxation, & recreation. A great balance of winding down on the beach and getting some hiking and biking in. If you're looking for a great B&B experience on SI, Seven is it. Will definitely be back!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Service Room Breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved a lot about this place. The location was perfect for us--we were able to walk to dinner (a few different restaurants), the beach, and live music. They had bikes for our use that enabled us to explore the island--they were so helpful in assisting us planing our route. The breakfast was delicious and healthy--the freshest fruits, jams, breads, oatmeal, croissants, etc. (yum!) There was a front porch and back porch where we enjoyed our breakfast, and afternoon tea. We will definitely be back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I know Shelter Island well and I chose this property because of its location - it's perfect! The property is immaculately clean throughout. The kitchen was well appointed and very welcoming... everything one needs is there and is set up so you feel very much "at home". The art throughout the premises is striking and in very good taste. My bedroom was not large but very thoughtfully laid out and had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable with very good linens. The bathroom very attractive and had all amenities; towels are thick and plentiful.
Cons: I had reserved a Queen room but the bed was actually a double. If I had been traveling with my partner, might have been a bit uncomfortable but it was fine for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Lovely art work and interesting books.
Cons: Would have liked a swimming pool but plenty of lovely beaches nearby with beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas provided by the B&B.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We opted for a few days away from NYC following a friend's wedding. We had no clue where to pick but Seven looked lovely from the photos. And it was superb. Excellent customer service, a clean and quiet room, and a delicious breakfast each day. It's a perfect location for easy access to beaches and restaurants nearby and further afield. We even hired bikes and used them to go out for dinner. All the staff were very friendly but especially Beth made us feel very at home and nothing was too much trouble for her. Seven is a relaxed home away from home and we shall be returning as soon as we can. And Evie (the weimaraner) was a treasure - she melted our hearts. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stylish interior and the Art on the Walls. We had a fanstatic and relaxing time.
Cons: A beautiful Bed and Breakfast. Peaceful and surrounded by Nature. Crescent beach ist just a five minutes walk away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is exceptional and amazing. This is the only place I'll ever stay on Shelter Island. Every time I stay here, this place exceeds my expectations! Beth, the host and owner, and everyone else who works there are just magnificent.
Cons: Everything was PERFECT.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beth was very helpful and looked after us oldies very well indeed.
Cons: Lack of a chair in the bedroom

Pros: Stayed in Greenport to attend a wedding on Shelter Island. Hotel was convenient and the most affordable for such a prime tourist destination. Staff was extremely accommodating and the vibe of this small gem of a hotel was laid back and funky. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a very nice, stylish and comfortable European style hotel in a very nice town--definitely not a cookie cutter operation. They have a nice European style breakfast if you are so inclined, with a nice patio if you want to take it outside. The common areas are very comfortable and stylish, and the music that they pipe in is perfect for the atmosphere. As many others have said, it is a great place for the solo traveler, and it is an easy walk to the railroad station and Shelter Island Ferry. If you are going to be arriving late, it is important to communicate with the hotel.

Pros: Perfect location for exploring Montauk and the Hamptons; very comfortable room; suite includes fridge, stove, dishes, pots and pans, deck with water view.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: When they didnt have my bed request, they upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge, whichbwas very nice and professional.
Cons: The pool should stay open untill later.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Bed was really comfortable, place was very clean, shower was great, AC unit working perfectly! The location is terrific for wineries, beaches, etc. Staff helpful. For a night or two, this motel is perfect.
Cons: The room was small And probably shouldn't have had a king bed. The lighting was strange with the highest intensity led white bulbs, and during our stay a fire alarm went off on another room (there are kitchenettes in the rooms and someone may have burned something) which was incredibly loud. There's a pool and outdoor seating area directly across from motel, and dog park behind--lots of people and sound. These aren't huge issues at all and of course it's good they have safety in mind; I just think/ hope it's helpful to know details.

Cons: No food service on premises, but plenty nearby.
4.6 Okay
Cons: We phoned that we were arriving early to the hotel and requested early check in. When we arrived, the front desk clerk was non-chalant and didn’t care. She was checking in others. However, Jeannie stated that we would have to wait and she would contact us via cell. Nobody contacted us. We inquired of the room when we finally checked in and was told it was a deluxe. It was on the first floor, and we heard the noise of the people above us to all hours of the night. We complained to the front desk and were told that this was the rate of room we had reserved. No sleep in this dump for close to $500 per night. Sad place to stay, and a non caring attitude of the employees.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant front desk staff. Spotlessly clean. Everything seemed brand new and fresh to me - furnishings, flooring, kitchen & bathroom fixtures. Quick stroll to the beach. 2nd floor room had wonderful view of the sunset. Pretty picnic area and flower arrangements. Super cold A/C and full sized refrigerator. Keurig coffee maker. Nice and quiet in 1st week of September. Enormous flat screen tv (but I never used it). I was wondering where I should drive to catch the sunset and surprise - I saw it perfectly from my room! Thanks! :)
Cons: There was no creamer or sugar for the coffee. There was no softer lighting in the room - like a simple lamp for reading. Overhead light was super bright white, not adjustable and a bit too much for me. Pool closes early so I didn't get a chance to use it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Flexible check in time, awesome staff, allowed to upgrade with no add’l charge.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s a fabulous place for a quite holiday by the beach. Great for long walks along the ocean.
Cons: If you don’t drive make sure you are organised for meals. Check ahead for available delivery options or carry your own. It has a gas job and microwave.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was 25 yards from beach
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the location was incredible & staff far exceeded our expectations
Cons: The bed was not comfortable for us - too hard & lighting in the room was weird and inadequate
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff was very friendly gave us tips on things to do in the area. Genuinely cared about our stay.
Cons: The resort is on a main highway at 55 miles an hour. This makes it difficult to enter and exit but everything else in the area is on the same stretch with the same issue. Room could have been a little cleaner. It’s on the beach so there will always be bugs but these were in place a little longer then they should. Just the hard to reach places. Surfaces, bathroom and beds were fine. Found an old cigarette butt under a bed behind a bureau on the tile could have been stuck to a shoe but it wasn’t from us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely accommodations, right next to the sea, accessible by Jitney. Quiet and peaceful.
7.9 Good
Pros: Cute little motel along the beach. Staff upon check out was very nice.
Cons: Room was very musty upon check-in. De-humidifier was full of moldy water. Air conditioner was turned way up so room was stuffy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location on the ocean. Has an indoor pool that’s great for kids in any weather. We come every year never disappoints. Tennis courts, BBQ’s, indoor pool, on the ocean can’t beat it.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was stylish and comfortable.
Cons: There was absolutely no service whatsoever and the room we were given, despite letting them know we were traveling with our two month old daughter was right above the restaurant speakers which blasted music until 2am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, cozy backyards, nice and clean, stuff are very polite. Stay was very good. We will come back but in different room. Thank you
Cons: The room (6) was on the top of pizza bar it was noisy. For family is not the best room. Children go to bed early. For a few day is ok. Size of the room its small, it wasn't like on the pictures.

Pros: We came here for a night after our wedding and the room was just spectacular! The bartender down stairs was so lovely and helped us celebrate our special day with a compliment round of drinks. I would definitely stay here again!!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Love the locations of both hotels. American Beech has a more lively vibe, very boho and centrally located to everything u would want. Aqua hotel beautifully situated on a private remote beach. Try to mix it up and stay at both. A lovely 3 day get away.
Cons: Pillows too soft in American Beech! But really not a problem. Personal preference.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good restaurant for dinner.
Cons: Terribly noisy place. Avoid room #6 at all costs. Heavy road noise and it sits directly over a bar where the bass music pulsates throughout the room until 2am, the bar entrance door slams constantly all night, shaking the room until closing time, and the screaming cheers from bar patrons playing table shuffleboard is a steady nuisance. We had to move rooms after two terrible nights of sleep. With only 11 rooms in the hotel, moving sooner wasn’t an option.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Meals were excellent, scallops and lobster rolls were great.
Cons: Had to change rooms, first had running water, second room was excellent. Transition by staff was pleasant and accommodating.
7.5 Good
Pros: I loved the bath amenities - they smelled so great! And, the location is fantastic in terms of being very central to everything there is to do in Greenport. Free Wifi.
Cons: The hotel was VERY noisy. We could hear through the very thin walls, and it prevented us from getting a good night's rest. One day, the bar was closed for a private event, which was fine, but the hotel has very few common spaces otherwise, so we had to find elsewhere to go.

Pros: The room was great and spacious and clean. The breakfast was good and different everyday which was great. The front desk staff was friendly. My stay was very comfortable at this hotel except for the broken toilet. There was many places close to the hotel to eat and shop. Great location.
Cons: The toilet in my room 311 had a problem...did not flush all the way. I had to call maintenance who came quickly both times they were called. The 2nd time the MX man came and changed a piece that was broken. It still intermittently didn't work but it was better.
