Those are things that can’t be avoided. This however is just poor management. The inexcusable delay sitting in the tarmac for over 10 minutes waiting for our gate to be clear is unacceptable. You know well in advance we are arriving. If the gate isn't going to clear in time, change our gate. Not a great way to do business, and one of many reasons I won’t fly Southwest ever again."

Flight attendants seemed to not want to be there."

I didn’t realize it until i slung it over my shoulder and felt the wet through my shirt and pants. Yuk. Com one southwest - clean the plane. Finally, we got delayed on the runway cecause there was ‘weather’. I get that SE Air has no control over the weather, but they knew this when they pushed off from the terminal. when make us wait in the tarmac. It might lead your on time stats, but doesn’t really do much for passenger comfort."

SW is the only airline that flies direct from Indy to BWI, so I'll be taking this flight often to visit my MD family. Also, it can be had for $70 if you shop in advance. As an interesting note: a morbidly obese woman tried to avoid the shame of being given the seat belt strap extender by tucking the belt under one of her fat rolls, but this did not fool the flight attendants (who proceeded to give her the extender very slying and without embarrassing her). Gotta love 'Merica."

Cons: "We spend 100k a yr with our southwest visa to earn companion fare privileges. We,my family of five, decided to go to FLL via BWI for Labor Day weekend. When we arrived at our gate we were told the flight was over sold and that I didn't have a seat. The lady at the desk was very nice and said you will be compensated for the mix up. After calling a few different people I was told that I wouldn't be compensated because my flight was "free". I refer to the 100k needed to attain companion fare capabilities Aka "free" airfare. We have never had a problem with southwest before to be fair quite the contrary but sadly the first time we had a problem it was handled in such a way that it cast a shadow over all of the past positives. Hopefully they will make this right. I can't imagine they won't."

That 'good feeling' was only so-so during the pre-boarding and boarding phases of our BWI-ROC leg, probably because of several factors: Our flight out of BWI was delayed by a late plane arrival from Islip. The gate attendant at BWI was working alone and under a fair amount of stress trying to get us out without falling further behind. There were too many passengers crowded into a tiny two-gate space just large enough for one plane (Gates "2/4" at BWI). In addition, it looked to me as if there were a larger than usual number of special early boarding circumstances for the gate attendant to deal with. It was one of those "crowd control" experiences which could easily get out of hand, or it could resolve itself. Fortunately, things finally got moving smoothly as everyone boarded. Once on the plane, the flight was fine. Whew!"

It was a very bad decision on Southwest to delay the flight, not because of passengers, but because of its last minute staffing need. Boarding: I was asked to check my carry on complimentary. I assume the staff believed my handbag was too big. Crew: n/a outside of the snack service. Comfort: the turbulence was so bad I was nauseous. I looked for the bag behind the seat and it looked used. Food: n/a except for the complimentary cookies. Those taste good. Entertainment: only allowed for Sprint/T-Mobile customers for some reason. My flight two days before included entertainment so this was disappointing. American Airlines spelled my name incorrectly which resulted in me being unable to use pre-check on both flights. I am overall disappointed with this experience.
The flight was an hour late getting into New Orleans. We landed in Philadelphia 30 minutes late. We sat on the tarmac for 20 more minutes. I ordered a wheelchair because I cannot walk such distances. None came after 30 minutes. I had to walk in short spells to get to baggage. It was a disaster flight. Lucky it was not cancelled.
Liked everything about this flight. They could have been a little more transparent as to the delay. But the pilot did get us to our connection with plenty of time to spare.
Both ticket agents and flight attendants were very pleasant to deal with. There was no entertainment on the flights and the charger in my seat was inoperable.

Cons: "American Airlines cancelled a flight because of ‘weather’ from Msy to dfw, all other flights from Msy to Dallas operated on time but were sold out. We were re booked flying through San Francisco, missing out on flying on qantas, which is what I had paid for since they are a premium airline. We were booked on virgin America and then United for the international flight. United charged us each for 2 bags totalling $150 each, despite we booked a ticket with qantas which allows 2 bags each. Virgin America honoured our 2 bags, but united refused to. United also has service and aircraft which do not match the levels of qantas which I has specifically sought out. I could not eat some of the food because of the poor quality, and this is something I’ve never done before on an international flight. Additionally their were a lack of amenities on both flights, and no food vouchers despite our travel delay of over 5 hours. This whole ordeal has cost me money, worktime, and created a lot of stress to where I have had to cancel meeting on my arrival in Sydney."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 2 hours, then moved to the next morning at 6am. Before we got to the hotel, the flight was pushed back to 8am. All for mechanical reasons. We've flown this route before, and have had an abnormally high number of mechanical issues. They seem to use older planes for these shorter flights, and it really shows. Technology could really help ease these situations. American's app does not allow you to look at rebooking options, so we had to stand in line for a solid 30 minutes to speak to an agent. Since it was the last flight of the night, there were only 3 agents there to help an entire plane's worth of people. Calling American didn't help. They couldn't help with hotel/food vouchers. These types of vouchers seem like something else that could be distributed through the app or electronically, eliminating the need to stand in line and grow increasingly frustrated. To add to the fun, the vouchers were not event enough to get a hot dog and drink for dinner, then a coffee and pastry for breakfast. Once we got the vouchers, trying to get to the hotel was a disaster. They had 1 van, so they could get about 10 people every 30 minutes. We just took and Uber, and were eating in the restaurant by the time others were still arriving from the shuttle. There was no one from American there to help coordinate with the hotel or shuttle. We were like blind sheep wandering around looking for the van. Finally, arrive for the flight the next day, and they start boarding about 10 minutes before the 8am takeoff time. So, of course, we were late getting off the ground. Then, when we arrived in Dallas, our gate was occupied by another plane, so we got to sit on an old plane for an extra 30 minutes until another gate opened up for us. Really, other than crashing, not much else could have gone wrong. Made American look completely incompetent...which is happening more the more we use them. Next time, I'll pay a higher fare to fly with Southwest."

Cons: "I purchased a round trip ticket to Miami for my infant son and I to accompany my wife on her business trip. First off, there was a 2.5 hour delay. The flight was overbooked. The lady at the ticket counter would not switch my seat to be seated next to my wife and 4 month old infant. Luckily the gentleman beside her was willing to switch seats so that she could comfortably breast feed our son. My checked luggage was severely damaged. The side of the luggage was caved in and one wheel was completely ripped off while the other was partially damaged. A cart had to be rented in order to transport the broken suitcase through the airport to the rental car service area where we picked up our car. The infant car seat belonging to a $180 traveling system was damaged and is missing pieces that secure the broken canopy. We were rudely advised by a staff member to file a report as she pointed in the general directional of a line a mile long. We have been advised by the manufacturing company to discontinue the use of this car seat because it is no longer considered safe for the baby to travel in. Should we ever be involved in an accident, the car seat would likely fail to ensure the baby's safety due to the mishandling by American Airline employees. Unfortunately since the flight was ridiculously delayed and my son was ill, we were unable to file the report. My wife has since contacted American Airlines via telephone and intends to write them a formal written complaint."
After being delayed from 1:42 departure to 5:15 I flew to Albany from Fort Lauderdale on Southwest airline. On time. An excellent experience.

She insisted it was too big. I told her it obviously fit just fine because she took it out easily and that it was regulation size and weight. I was not happy at all. I paid to sit up front and get on first to put my bag in the overhead compartment for a reason! I’ve used this bag several times with no issues. I spent an extra 35 minutes trying to get my bag and leave the airport that I didn’t have to spare. She had no regard for incredible inconvenience it caused me."

Cons: "boarding was late and they didn't even say anything. no apology or anything. It was also hard to hear announcements over the PA system"

Cons: "They lost my bag. Told me it would be there the next night...it wasn’t and they didn’t know where it was. Told me they’d reach out with updates...they didn’t. I had to call to find out it was in a different city from where I was going or where I live. Told me it would be on the next flight out in the morning...it wasn’t. Then did absolutely nothing to compensate me for this experience."
Cons: "Was unable to make it"
Pros: "The terminal was empty. Plenty of seats. Boarding doesn't take long. Arrival at ISP is nice because it is small and empty."

Cons: "The boarding crew were nasty and the gentleman was more focused on looking sexy in his heels and long nails. Why do we pay for a flight and then for a seat? Why not fly standing and not pay extra? That's a funny way to just take more money out of our pockets. Have us pay for basic seats and then have the ability to upgrade."
Pros: "The flight crew was good."
Cons: "Carry on charges are asinine. The same charge for checking in baggage is the same for carry-ons. Clarification needs to be in writing so that options are weighted prior to making my way to the counter."
Pros: "I really liked having two kids punching my seat every 5 mins on a 3 hour long flight. Pilots do know how to take off and land so I'm alive and that's the best part I liked about my flight."
Cons: "Seats are terrible. I know it's not the international flight but please please hire more attractive flight attendants. I don't want to have nightmares."
Pros: "I am probably a little more biased because tampa airport was celebrating the innaguration of the flight. Also the flight was very affordable and the plane seemed new and clean. Staff was very sweet and pilots were early."
Cons: "Snacks and drinks were all at a fee and there wasn't much leg room after the people in front of you lean back. We were unable to choose our seats. The seats themselves were extremely firm and uncomfortable. There was also no entertainment option, even for a fee or wifi available during a 3 hour flight. Deboarding took a while."
Pros: "Nothing except the crew."
Cons: "Where to start? Messed up my TsA pre-check which almost cost me to miss flight, no almenities on board, tray table shorter than my iPad. This flight and airline is a joke, never again."
Cons: "Frontier had 2 flights out of FLL all day. 1st scheduled to leave at 10am to Trenton. Our's to Cincy at 4. Trenton put passengers in and they sat on the tarmac back the APU was broke (essentially plane's starter). Then people finally were able to get off the plane. Meanwhile, our flight to Cincy couldn't leave because the airport wouldn't let us use a different gate! Apparently, Frontier wasn't paying what the City wanted so we sat there waiting for over 6 hours though our plane was at a different part of the airport waiting on is, we couldn't board and leave!!!"
Cons: "Late departure, late arrival, cramped seating, overcharged for checked bag"
Cons: "Spent over 5 hours waiting on runway"
Pros: "This was an economy ticket and everything about the flight was fine but not wonderful. It made me think about what I value when I fly. The next time the 'cheap' ticket price draws me in - I will just add another $30-70 for a carry-on and/or checked bag which will make the price comparison more aligned."
Cons: "Have your credit card ready - nothing is included."
