Madre Tierra exceeded our expectations! We had an amazing stay and really felt cosy and at home. Mariano made us feel extra welcome and was super helpful arranging airport transfers and local tours at short notice. The breakfast was also great!
Everything was great! There was nothing we didn't like.
Great service. Excellent location to high quality restaurant options. Helped me make reservations for dinners. Staff was knowledgeable about excursions and made good recommendations. Nice showers.
This has a cute little bread and breakfast vibe. Staff is very friendly and the owners are great. No complaints (and if you are coming from the US, you can pay in US dollars so you don’t have to exchange for a ton of pesos).
We thought “Nancy” was most gracious and helpful. We really liked the staff member who served us breakfast very much.
Everything was perfect.
The staff was very polite and accommodating, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was superb! I loved the hot coffee with hot milk and the baked goods. Veronica made eggs on order as well. Mariano booked a catamaran tour to the glaciers that was very well run and better than the ones you typically book over the internet. Also, this boutique hotel is in downtown Calafate, only 2-3 blocks walk from the main street and a few blocks walk from other sites so it is very well located. Overall, great experience.
I had a single room because I was traveling alone. The room and its bathroom was on the small side and it could be claustrophobic for some people. It had all the amenities though (comfortable bed, private bathroom, hot/cold water, shower, hairdryer, outlets for plugging electronics, etc).
With a stay at MadreTierra Patagonia in El Calafate, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Argentinian Museum of Toys and Calafate History Exhibition Hall. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
