10.0 Excellent
Pros: Its a great hostel with great staff and a really friendly owner as well as his girlfriend. It has a good vibe and it's easy to meet interesting and positive people or do hikings from there (you still will need a bus or taxi for hikes but it's La Palma and you get from there quite easy and fast anywhere)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All very good!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Casa Encantada exceed my expectations, the personnel was so friendly and other guests were very nice to hang out with. I arrived very late, after midnight, and Fran still got up to let me in. The house is old and for that it cannot maybe be as sterile and clean, but I really liked this different and distinctive. El Paso is a quiet village, but near beautiful nature and good bus connections all around La Palma.
Cons: Kitchen can be a bit full crowded, but nothing much.
5.4 Okay
Cons: 10 beds in one room. Needed cleaning. Not any space to store your bag. Old and too many things everywhere.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: I did could cook.
Cons: The floor is terrible noisy, if you not change the floor and the terrible double beds, the people gonna feel uncomfortable every day, just not say this everybody cause they shy. I also don't liked when the staff speaked with tourists i'm 'cavron'. Also i don't like, when "somebody" hit the cat or other animal... I hope the clean is gonna change too, and other people learn to clean after them. I did clean every time after peoples for example toilet. And when somebody come to the room take out something of the bag, that noisy and better to put another room the peoples staff. The hostel need to be more quiet and peaceful and HOT. I know in Canary islands not like to spend money about radiators, because "hot islands". It's not hot. It's very cold the rooms. In my country and many others use radiators when the weather 20 degree under. The body need hot. Not cold, in the room, winter time... Many people can get sick. But if you want, you can continue this capitalism sh*t, and when you really want that the peoples feel really good there, let's Change on the right way, and staff pls, stop speak bullshit and use cinism. That is not kidness.
6.0 Good
Cons: The bed is very worn and soft.
7.0 Good
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, relaxt atmosphere.
Cons: Terrible smell in bedroom (sweat, male bodies, dirty clothes...?).

Pros: A great hotel! Oliver and his wife have renovated this old farmhouse with lots of love and very good sense for interior design. Every day you get another style of breakfast including food from the island. It’s a really calm place to relax and a good spot to do trips all over La Palma.

6.0 Good
Pros: Room was efficiently serviced. Restaurant staff at breakfast were efficient - the variety & range was very good. Public areas clean & well maintained.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: It was a hotel. The wifi was pretty good. There were kiwi fruits at breakfast.
Cons: We had booked "Balcony • Sea view • Pool view • City view" and we got "Balcony • Sea view • Wall view" to the extent that the sun was shining on our balcony zero minutes per day. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The cleaning service performed below average. The restaurant options (in hotel and around) were underwhelming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good, freshly cooked for each meal and so much choice, fish, meat, pasta, vegetarian and wonderful puddings. Plenty of places to walk to in the afternoon when it was cooler.
Cons: A kettle in the room was the only thing lacking with the holiday, we daft English like our tea (I took my own as I love a cup of tea in the morning).
7.0 Good
Cons: Food
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room clean. Nice size balcony with gorgeous sea view. Good breakfast and dinner times with plenty to choose from. Particularly the cook to order station. Pros: Love the location to Los Cancajos, the beach, and Santa Cruz de La Palma.
Cons: The extra fees to use sauna, no real restaurant, all food service buffet style. Thank goodness Los Cancajos had restaurant options.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: clean, friendly, good breakfast
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice garden and pool area, great breakfast buffet Located very close to the beautiful cliffs, loved the sound of the waves at night
Cons: Appartement could be cleaner
5.4 Okay
Pros: the meals were adequate.
Cons: two things ! the bedroom had no furniture other than one wooden chair, no dressing table or mirror in bedroom When I asked at reception about the prices I was amazed to find out had I booked room only I could have upgraded for less than I prepaid.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: No fans or air conditioning. Bad smell from toilet, possibly the drains. A lot of tiny ants this year and mosquitos coming in through window at night, which we had to leave open because it was hot. Suggest they put fly netts on their windows, which will also help with the mosquitos. It was appalling to see that there was no lifeguard and a lot of small children at the pool everyday. Surely, that's illegal!. They used to have some fruit and bottle of water in the rooms on arrival, this year they did not provide this. At least a bottle water would be welcomed by guests on arrival since its so hot.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast either on the sunny terrace or the spacious dining room. Stacks of choice, good coffee. The apartment we were in was very sunny and spacious, with plenty of hot water and comfortable seating. We just had a Juliet balcony but did have a sea view which was lovely. Plenty of parking either in the hotel precinct or on the road just outside. We had the buffet evening meal just the once which was very good value, with lots of choice. Good waiter service for drinks.
Cons: The beds were a tad too firm for us but we doubled up two spare blankets they gave us on request and put them under the sheet, which softened them a bit. There was only one pillow each but they happily gave us two more when we asked. The kitchenette could have done with a few more cooking utensils but we managed.
7.5 Good
Pros: Pool and pool area was lovely.
Cons: Apartment decor was dated and in need of a refresh.
Sol La Palma - Santa Cruz de la Palma - Pool
7
7.7 Good (1,307 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Puerto Naos, in the municipality of Los Llanos, on the island of La Palma (Canary Islands), the resort includes Sol La Palma and Sol La Palma Apartments and is perfect for discovering the prettiest of all the Canary Islands, thanks to its excellent location right on the beach, its complete and comfortable facilities and the equality of its services.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, spacious apartment, good choice of food
6.0 Good
Pros: Very comfortable bed.
Cons: A high floor room was requested when booked 6 months previously . Apparently none was available. Same happened previous year. Because of design of the hotel many rooms are rather dark and shady which may be good in summer, not so nice in winter. Some dishes on buffet not very well executed.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The pool by the sea is a very nice spot, and the rooms were clean.
Cons: Although friendly, they were understaffed for such a big hotel, so there was always a queue to ask anything at reception. When we eventually asked about hiring bikes, as per the listing, this seemed to just confuse them, and they couldn't help. The advert makes it seem this hotel would help with activities, but they just directed us to other vendors in the town. There was no advice on things to do in the area, which you really need to do, because there is very little in the town itself. The town can be explored in about 30 minutes. There were a lot of options at breakfast, but none of them were really to our taste, so this was disappointing. The loungers by the pool were quite uncomfortable to lie on for any period of time. The evening entertainment was extremely tacky.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a room for 3 - but just 2 of us so had a lovely big terrace overlooking the sea. The terrace was the highlight for us! Great location. Older clientele than us (we are 30s) which was fine - nice and calm. Very big and not too busy. Old fashioned resort- kids club, entertainment etc. We would recommend to our parents for those aspects. Staff spoke English which was rare compared to other places we stayed on the island. We had some lovely arrival gifts. The bathroom was big and luxurious. The bed was very comfortable. Complimentary water in the room was appreciated.
Cons: The breakfast felt a bit cheap - quantity over quality. It would have been nice to have proper coffee served at the table.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Renovation and location. This was my 7th time there.
Cons: Reception, sometimes staff were busy, parking lot (queues sometimes just for a place outside that u have to pay x?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: So much nicer since I last stayed here.!! Spotless air conditioned room. Enormous comfortable beds, great view, modern and new furniture, small fridge in the room, adequate balcony, EXCELLENT WIFI ON 1ST FLOOR! (Watched a film on Netflix on iPad without any problems) Lovely staff. Food was alright. Not amazing, but something for everyone. The restaurant staff were awesome, running around keeping everything moving. One of the chefs was like Edward Scissorhands cutting up this beautiful roast turkey they brought out. Really impressive!
Cons: The heated pool was freezing. Lifeguard just reading magazine or looking at his phone instead of the pool. Nothing for kids to do apart from the cold pool. Parking wasn't free.
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent variety of food for breakfast.
Cons: Car parking was atrocious for booking in. The hotel could not explain to me why they took my money twice nor why they didn't answer any of my five messages asking for reimbursement.

Pros: Room and public spaces big. Good to have heated pool. Staff friendly ( on the whole). Breakfast good value at 4 euros. Plenty of parking. Hotel quiet when visited. OK place to stay if you want to check out the north of the island. It is old fashioned but clean and has a sort of retro charm. E
Cons: Didn't try restaurant as was put off by speaking to fellow guest and looking at the menus. Found other places not too far away...if you have car. Not enough sun beds by pool.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location
Cons: Spa/pool area to be heated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location v quiet Friendly staff Large airy room
Cons: Needs updating
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Very good value and great selection. Location was perfect from my view. Nice and quiet away from the busier parts of the island. The set meals and al a carte menu for dinner were very and reasonably priced.
Cons: Accommodation was a little dated but all still perfectly serviceable. The use of sauna and steam room were extras and required booking separately. This wasn't clear on the information on booking.com.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hidden gem. Well maintained path on approach when walking from Barlovento. The staff were very nice. The look is old school and charming. The restaurant was a lovely relaxing experience in the evening. A cosy fireplace in the bar. Nice breakfast. Lovely!
Cons: Bathroom could be modernised.

Cons: Not very modern, but very cosy and spacious hotel. Lots of conveniences.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel and great staff, enjoyed my stay. It is in a remote location near a small village, ideal for hiking. There is an on-site restaurant, but there is also a great grill within walking distance (Asador de Campesino). Indoor and outdoor swimming pools + sauna + steam room, nice garden and fantastic views.
Cons: All was fine.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good apartment, great balcony overlooking the pool. Well situated for all amenities. Good overall, quiet resort town . Beaches within easy reach. A fair number of restaurants to choose from and 3 express supermarkets.
Cons: No kettle so we used saucepan which was fine. The hotplate wasnt easy to work out, as you turned the nob sequentially it either went on or off not hotter as you might expect, still no biggy. If you're wondering about noise from the airport it wasn't a problem, seemed like there was about 10 flights a day and half of those were interisland propeller planes

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, balcony overlooking the sea. Very clean. Comfortable beds and good wardrobe and cupboard space. Friendly staff. Buffet breakfast available if required.
Cons: The kitchen and bathroom were a bit tired. There was no kettle so had to use pans to boil water. Very limited crockery.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location and a good buffet-style breakfast for our 1 night stay before travelling back to the airport. Room was large and facilities were OK. Staff were very friendly and spoke English.
Cons: The room decor was tired and kitchen doors didn’t fit well. The fridge was also noisy overnight. As others have said, the walls are very thin, so you can hear other guests in adjacent rooms quite loudly. But, it was good for a 1 night stay and just what we needed.
5.0 Okay
Pros: We stayed in an old room. It was disgusting. The only good thing was that we checked in earlier. Thanks for that to the receptionist.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: If you like a place that oozes personality with every creak of the the floor and squeak of the door hinge, this place is for you. Yes, it is old, but the bed was new and comfortable, the en suite was modern and spotless, and everything was very clean. The location is grand, on a pedestrian street full of good restaurants. If you want a modern hotel full of IKEA furniture, this place isn’t for you. If you like a building that seems to have a life of its own, at a great price, you should give it a try-
Cons: Not a thing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great building, best location
Cons: Noisy neighborhood
7.5 Good
Pros: Free tea and coffee in the shared kitchens. Very clean ( but tired ) No discount given for long stay ( I did ask ) but they didn’t have to clean the room daily then swap the sheets and towels etc? I don’t understand this at all? Why not encourage longer stays? You saved time and costs? Upgraded to a large suite for €10 more-much more space including a roof garden
Cons: No kettle or microwave in the shared kitchens. Not enough cutlery ( guests leave in rooms maybe )Can be noisy in this location. First room accessed through communal lounge ( not ideal when needing the shared WC or bathroom especially at night ) very old building full of character but tired ( broken glass panes etc ) Doesn’t effect your stay though. No vehicle access outside so have to carry bags at least 60 metres from the vehicle. Parking difficult ( around 600 metres away ) Our shower wasn’t fit for purpose- shower curtain too small so flooded the floor - shower head wouldn’t stay up- used communal showers instead. Paid for double room online but given two single beds..
7.0 Good
Pros: Perfect location right in the center and extremely close to the ferry. Very nice old building. Great common room.
Cons: Room has no window (all the rooms face the courtyard), little privacy, and there are ants in the communal bathroom- no problem for a 1-2 night stay but not so ideal for longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice to experience a pension like good old days. A place where you easyly get in touch with other travellers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Balcony looked right down on the street was fabulous to get the atmosphere without even going out if u didn’t want to

Pros: Loved our stay- beautiful little hotel with a lovely terrace to sit on, an honesty bar and wonderful, friendly staff and owner. Richard and his staff, Miguel and Maria were all very knowledgeable about the island and gave us tips and ideas as well as booking restaurants - nothing was too much trouble The location was perfect for exploring, we went all over the island on local buses, very easy. Some lovely local restaurants and even though our Spanish is non existent and English isn't widely spoken there was never any problem. The best breakfast to be had in the whole of the Canaries! Beautiful fruit and perfectly ripe avocados as well as the usual suspects. Comfortable bed, great shower, exceptionally clean.
Cons: Nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Small design hotel. Spacious and comfortable room. Nice patio and terrace. Quiet area. Accessible by car.
Cons: Very poor wifi. Various repeaters with different SSID´s but none with good signal. Had to sit in the reception area with my iPad to check plane tickets, rental cars and maps. Should hire a professional to setup a functional wifi network.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful small hotel. The space has been very cleverly converted into a range of rooms around a stylish courtyard complete with trickling fountain, a small aviary, plants and seating areas, plus a small elevated terrace with tables and chairs, and loungers, lots more pot plants and a (slightly impaired) view of the sea. We had the studio. It was compact, but cleverly arranged. Lovely mix of old, mid-century and contemporary furnishings and fittings. Comfy large bed and great shower. The staff were charming.
Cons: No view from the studio, but some of the other rooms do. I thought I would be disturbed by traffic at night as the bedroom is directly next to the street, but it's a quiet road, so was ok.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was ideal in the city. The young Dutch man on reception was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the local area.
10.0 Excellent
