Ellsworth Historical Society
Location. Close to the Ellsworth Downtown and only 20 miles from Acadia. The price compared to the other motels/hotels in the area. The room had fresh paint and clean bathroom but the rug was dirty. You would think if the room was cleaned up they would clean/replace the carpet.
It was clean and adequate. OK for overnight . Old facilities. The bathtub and sink were a 1950's blue. Electric outlets were few. I would not like it for extended stay.
Price Bed WiFi connection was iffy
0 This place was a wreck and our room should never have been rented. Words cannot express how bad this place was. Mold odors kept us awake. Did not even use the shower due to its condition The end of the building was being held up with jacks.the entire decking across the front of the rooms had pulled away and walking on it was dangerous. If we had been a to arrive in daylight we would have canceled immediately.
The beds were clean and comfortable. The shower was hot. Our large dog was welcomed. Delicious blueberry muffins when we left. The owner was accommodating. We questioned the structural integrity of this throwback to the mom & pop era of roadside motels, with decor to match. The office was not open for check-in when we arrived so we had to wait to get keys. No wifi in rooms.
Nice overwhelmed owner Much maintenance needed. Much trash in yard
Pool, location The bed was pretty stiff and the pillows were all down, not very comfortable. Also the TV was super old.
Good location and well-kept building and grounds. Bed was a little uncomfortable. Window in the kitchenette did not have a fully-covering curtain.
