Pros: Perfect hotel for business trip. Ralf the owner was really helpful and sociable and his wife cooked a great pasta. Very clean, great location in a very picturesque town. The room was a good size and the shower was great. WiFi perfect. Parking on site. Absolutely faultless. The free beer in the fridge for guests and football on tv was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.
Cons: If someone could ask the guy at the church not to ring the bells at 6am that would be good

Cons: The guest house address implied it was in Rosenwald which was annoying as we had no sat nav on our car and were map reading.

Pros: Friendly staff, very good service . Very neat and clean. A large selection of different types of bread rolls and drinks at breakfast left nothing to be desired.

Pros: This place has a certain charm that only a small family owned establishment could have. I was made to feel so welcome, their food was delicious, and the folks were so nice! Couldn't recommend more.

Pros: Very kind and helpful staff, the offered me assistance with my wet bike gear after a heavy rain - even without asking. The room was in an adjacent building which offered peace and quiet.

This 3-star superior hotel is located in the town of Balingen, surrounded by the hilly countryside of the Swabian Jura. Regional Swabian dishes are served in the rustic-style restaurant with a covered terrace. Rooms at the Hotel Restaurant Thum include a bathroom. All rooms come with a desk and a flat-screen TV, and WiFi can also be booked. Opened in 1951, Hotel Restaurant Thum has been family-run for 3 generations. The restaurant specialises in homemade Maultaschen (dumplings) and offers a selection of Baden and French wines. Balingen Train Station is 850 metres away from the hotel. On-site parking is free, and the A81 motorway is within a 30-minute drive.
Pros: The staff were exceptionally pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. The room was a little small, but I wasn’t here to stay in my room. It’s a very short walk into town, via the cemetery (which is what I was here for, unfortunately).
Cons: The worst part was having to say goodbye.
Pros: Marina is a wonderful. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable! Definitely will stay again. All request were met with smile! Breakfast was wonderful, rooms are clean and comfortable! It is not a Las Vegas resort but aminitied are adequate! They even provided me with a rope. I was upgraded to bigger room at no additional charge. It is s small, cute, family run hotel.
Pros: It looks like a family own hotel. Everyone is very kind and take care of their customers. The restaurant is also good with warm atmosphere and always busy both lunch and dinner.

Pros: I was given a room at the main building, which was nice. There are some stairs to reach the room, but for me this is not a problem.

Pros: Traditional German breakfast. Not the broad European style multinational breakfast now popular. Dinner in hotel was better than expected. Especially for a family run midsize hotel. Pretty view from the hotel of the town and area. Town has a couple small museums, one is WW2 historical about a small primitive heavy water reactor built under a large church complex that survived to the wars end..
Cons: Would be better to have croissants as well as breads at breakfast, It is in the center of the town, so there to above average town noise, not excessive though.
Pros: The Hotel owners and staff were exceptionally welcoming accommodating any requests that we made. The restaurant menu was extensive and the Haigerloch speciality dish was superb. The views in the front of the Hotel are stunningly beautiful.

Cons: The furniture was really much older than I expected it to be, so was the bathroom, and the hair dryer - not a good one anyway - was broken
