Spacious rooms, well furnished and beautifully decorated. A very nice place, even charming. Location perfect for exploring Escalante. Large rooms with comfortable bed and chair. Good eatery across the street. Host friendly and accommodating. Great room rate. Location was excellent, just off Main Street. The rooms were adorable; the location was impeccable; and the host/owner was accommodating. Rooms were nice and owner was very pleasant and attentive. The room was a good size and the bathtub/shower was large. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. He provided coffee, tea, hot chocolate and muffins in the morning. Tom is an excellent host and he has created a special place. Our hosts were thoughtful and very knowledgeable. Tom reached out to me to make sure I would know how to find the Inn in the dark. The next day, he provided not only delicious coffee cake, but the best advice for a hike and sightseeing stop suited for us. Great location in Escalante. Was surprisingly clean, new and spacious. The 2 hikes you recommended were EPIC ! Thanks. Location and the atmosphere, the owner and employees were all super. Very clean. The room and property were very comfortable and felt like home. The king bed was very comfortable, room was clean and furnishings were quaint. Very nice room for the vacation traveler. Tom is a great host and full of information about the Escalante area, and he makes great fresh coffee! The room was large and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Coffee in the morning with the owner and other guests was wonderful. Tom, the inn manager, is a wealth of local information. He gave us great advice about what we could do. Quiet, nice room with balcony. Tom is a great guy. He had all kinds of tips about where to go, what to see and where to eat. The owner was so helpful with directions to great places to visit. His maps were spot on. Very clean, great, personable host! Great location, super comfortable and clean rooms, really nice areas and patios outside to hangout. Tom also offer an inside area when it’s cold to eat, way more comfortable than In the rooms. There is also a fridge with a freezer to keep your stuff cold if needed. The manager was helpful finding places to explore. Coffee and breakfast was great. Location was great. Just needed a place to crash for one night. Surprisingly delightful. Tom is very knowledgeable about the area and provided coffee and a goodie in the morning. Tom was very welcoming and helped us with recommendations as to what to see and where to eat. It felt like a home away from home, as soon as we arrived we were given great recommendations for where to go around Escalante as well as for our road trip the next day!
Many site rules by innkeeper. Very unfriendly host/owner, tons of restrictions: you are not allowed to bring cooler into. Uncomfortable rocking chairs. Sound proofing between rooms was a bit lacking. Not easily seen from main road; missed the turn. The mattress was very firm almost uncomfortable. Very little amenities, but has a great restaurant/outfitter right across the street. When I went to check in with my service animal, I was told we were not welcome. The proprietor refused a refund and made me feel very uncomfortable for even showing up there with my diabetes service animal. Was very little breakfast. The skylight in our room was not welcome at 5:30 am. Should have a way to cover it in the summertime. There was also rusted barbwire on the walls as part of a mural-very dangerous and I scraped my arm on it. The oversized rustic pine bed frame made getting in and out of the bed a real challenge. The owner is very rude and demanding. He will give you a long list of silly rules, that he will insist you read. he has a bunch of rules that will cost you money if you don’t toe the line. 10am checkout or a huge fine. No coolers in the room, he says he will fine you 300 if you are a smoker and your clothes smell like tobacco, and on and on. Heater too noisy. Needed more towels and bath mat….cold in the bathroom, floor heater didn’t work. As coolers are not allowed it would be helpful to have someway to cool your food that you are carrying with you. a mini-fridge would have been useful. Would be nice to have a coffee pot in the room. The tv was small and there was no fridge. Breakfast is coffee and a bread or muffin. No view from the room. View was of horse trailers. The listed rules are harsher than Tom the Innkeeper. There was no microwave available on site for guests to use. WiFi is a bit weak In the rooms, stronger if you move towards the main house. Nothing. Great place to stop! Would have appreciated ice. zero. Everything was great. Nothing.
