Pros: What a fun environment! The staff were all super friendly and made sure we had everything we could want while we were there. They helped us to arrange transportation from Ometepe to the ranch, and we joined them on a gorgeous ride to the beach on their horses... something we would highly recommend. The entire place was beautiful (rooms, pool, views, etc), and the dinners they provided were delicious. The free-flowing drinks didn't hurt either! At dinner, some of the owner's friends came over and played music for us which was lots of fun to sit and listen to (and one of the other guests even joined in!).
Cons: I was a little disappointed that it was okay to smoke by the pool. Nobody was a nuisance about it and everyone put them out if I asked, but as someone who is allergic it detracted from the experience a little.
Pros: Superbly hosted! Delicious food. Clean, stylish ensuite room with lovely little swimming pool right out front and private area in the shade with a hammock to the back. The relaxed 'mi casa es su casa' attitude made it one of our favourite stops on our honeymoon, as did the midnight star gazing from the pool. Horse riding and surfing at Yankee beach were both fantastic experiences. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: Leaving. We really can't think of anything that could be improved. Would go back in a heart beat.
Pros: Away from everything
Pros: This place was so wonderful! We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The people of the ranch are extremely helpful and friendly. They can come and get you in San Juan when you arrive so you don’t have to figure out how to get there. The ranch is really beautiful and very safe (it’s guarded for 24 hours a day). The rooms are big, nicely decorated and equiped with everything you need (airco, shower, toilet, ventilator, large bed). We even had our own little garden with hammock. There is a pool and chairs besides it where you can lay down at night and look at the stars. The concept of all eating together in the evening is really nice to get to know the people of the ranch. The cook is really good and makes sure there is a lot of food on the table. They will make you breakfast and lunch. During the day you can help yourself by taking drinks and snacks out of the fridge. We went for the horse ride on the beach. That was so nice! The horses are really sweet, healthy and calm. You don’t have to be affraid, while there are two people of the ranch comming with you and will help you with everything. The stay at this ranch is expensive but it was definetly worth it! It is a hidden paradise, a must see in San Juan del Sur.
Cons: Nothing all was really good!
Pros: The food was delicious, the garden was beautiful and the horse ride was great fun!
Cons: Our bed was a little too soft, but after removing the mattress topper it was fine.

Pros: Absolute perfect beach front location, property manager on site and very courteous, friendly, personal, accommodating, anticipating all our needs. Have Sophia make all your meals - they are delicious using local produce and fresh protein!( the next door restaurant is not really very good and expensive for what they present you). Appetizing nica breakfast served poolside. Local pulperia has limited supplies and closed Tuesday’s. You are able to bring your own drinks and snacks and store them in the house fridge. Lots of space, chair sitting areas. Quiet beautiful sandy beach. Nice pool area set up. Comparable value for money. Good water pressure in shower, and large room sizes!
Cons: Mattresses and pillows could be a bit more comfortable.
Pros: I love the view of the beach and the swimming pool. I also would like to thank sophia the helper she was nice and cook a great breakfast. You can tell she knows how to treat their guess
Cons: What i did not like was the manager who disrespected my family by assuming that they have thrown a pice a metal in to the trash and told us we have to go take out from trash and give it back they were in the room we just hadn't gave it to her yet we still had a hour left to stayin our rooms. The piece of metal came from a smoke candle to take away all the mosquitoes we had in our rooms.
Pros: Out of the hustle and bustle this place holds a special place in my heart. Quiet simply breathtakingly beautiful. And if you are lucky enough to taste Sofia's food you will be in heaven.
Pros: Sofia is great, she really made the stay great and is a great cook. This place is great, we loved Nicaragua and had a great time.
Cons: Beach, pool and food. People are great, we felt totally safe. Did day trip from here to Granada and Masaya and still made it back for dinner.
Pros: Very friendly host and staff. Beautiful beachfront property with pool.
Pros: It took a day to adjust to the location and that I was the only guest. The care taker went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy and comfortable. I felt right at home with Sophia. I do plan on coming back toward the end of April with my hubby.
Cons: I did not care much about the shared restrooms and the water tasted like salt. Showering felt like my skin was drying out.
Pros: Great stay, beautiful place right next to the beach! Perfect spot to go surfing or completly relax while enjoying the sound of the oceaan and a killer cocktail (can highly recommand the Pina Colada). La Veranera gave us the ultimate holiday vibe, big thanks to Jan for hosting us!
Pros: Breakfast was good and included as stated in reservation. Location was nice.
Cons: The manager told us that a/c was extra although I showed her the reservation specs that included use of a/c. Because we upgraded to master room she gave a/c at no extra charge but that was not a favor that is what is included in the room you pay for. Somebody came in and turned off a/c and light while we were not in the room because she said you have to turn off everything if you are not in the room. The a/c was old and adjusted to cool down to 26 celcius and only 1 light blanket is given. She did not allow us to use the kitchen to cook and no restaurants were open. That day we arrived she could not get the cooking lady to come and we had to drive to san juan and could not even get food to cook because she said kitchen was for staff so we spent lots of money having lunch at la veranera cooked by staff and in restaurants in san juan.
