Excellent condition facility well maintained and spotless stayed there on several occations an would not hesitate to recomend it to a friend jump in price from previous stay £25.00
Peace and quiet Friendly service Large spacious room - well equiped
clean and good food no
Clean and comfortable room with friendly staff
The staff were very friendly and were on hand to help as I was fully laden with baggage. There is no room service as the lodge is separate to the restaurant. This isn't a huge issue, but I arrived late and would have liked to eat and relax in my room.
The room was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Pub next door was nice and the meals were good. A very nice place to stay.
The rooms were very clean on comfortable, the bar was lovely and relaxing Shame that the evening meal wasn't the best and expensive
The room was extremely comfortable and the evening in the bar and dining was a pleasurable experience
Liked my stay
Staff were helpful and attentive Rooms were clean and comfortable Hotel address suggests Farnham but it is a bit outside Farnham, not easy to find and on a main road so location was not great if you wanted something in Farnham itself
Connection to pub with good food. Good value for money. Only complaint would be the pillows that werent the most comfortable.
The beds and the waitress was very helpful I have complained already: the cold showers, the meals, the lack of english speaking staff
Smell of smoke in non smoking room, room above unloading point for service vehicles, barrels delivered at 0730. Food poor in presentation and choice, same limited menu each night
the location and the peacefullness of the place we never had hot water which was so dissappointing
The breakast room has views of the pond. That was very special. For the price the faciities were poor
rooom very comfortable, and the food very good. Forgot to bring swimming costume, would have liked to use the pool, looked lovely.
Views from dining room. Quiet, peaceful location. Disappointed with quality of cooked breakfast.
Location, The choice to upgrade to a quiet room The decor too modern and lacking in charm, small swimming pool
staff help for routes to cain manor wedding and early book-in help
Going for walks around the lakes. The quality of the food for dinner was excellent, but spoiled by having to eat alone in a side room behind reception. That we were unaware till arrival that the hotel had large weddings for both of the evenings we had booked.
Bar prices were ridiculous
would have liked a menu in the room.
Very well trained staff, friendly and accommodating. This hotel requires a serious re furbishment. The room was dismal, the curtains were falling down and the shower delivered water that was too hot or too cold. The pipes leaked from the W.C when flushed as did the bath when taps were turned on. Everything is seriously dated, including the dining room whcih had chairs that were falling apart. When I was checking out another guest was complaining about similar things in her room. Shame on you Mercure.
We liked the whole setting of the hotel. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. We found the staff very helpful.
Some staff did not speak english
I liked the large comfortable bed. nicely decorated room clean and warm superb television.nice clean bathroom. Nothing that I did not like.
Staff very friendly and helpful, did as the said they would at time of booking and gave us a larger room. Even called to book a taxi for us. Would recommend staying there. Inside could do with some new carpets and a bit of painting and it would be a beautiful hotel.
Olde world atmosphere and very good Noisy floors and hard pillows
pleasant and helpful staff no
Great location. Room contained all the basic facilities we required. Reception staff were helpful and happily provided a sewing kit to fix a button which had fallen off a shirt. Room is desperately in need of refurbishment. Threadbare carpet, bathroom in need of replacement, new tiles etc. Reception staff didn't know that the corridor to our room was closed for painting, so we had to retrace our steps and walk twice the distance. Not worth the price, except for the great location.
The foyer and sky bar is lovely Reception staff were not friendly and considering the hotel didn't seem busy I was disappointed that I was given a small first floor room with a road view. Puzzled as to why the entrance is so far from the car park when there is another entrance much closer that is closed. I live locally to this hotel and frequent the sky bar often which I will continue to do and I definitely recommend a visit.. .. to the bar only!
Excellent Hotel Brasserie service was a bit lacking as we had to ask 3 times for our wine and it arrive after our starter.
Excellent hotel, a hidden gem...
Room excellent very comfortable, generally all necessary facilities were available ie access to the internet was very uesful, the staff were helpful and friendly nothing too was much trouble. I thought that the breakfast charge was excessive and not necessary taking into concideration the cost of the room.
The Aviator hotel is inspiring! Their attention to detail is a breath of fresh air. The cudstomer service is proffesional and personal!
Excellent. Fantastic design, in particular the lobby area which is stunning. No swimming pool or Sp
Just everything. Staff are extrememly friendly with everything you need at the hotel.
The hotel is extremely stylish and plush. We stayed in a standard room, but it was plenty big enough and beautifully furnished. The restaurant food was excellent, and the staff were obliging when we asked for a dish that did not appear on that day's menu. I think the bathroom lighting could have been a bit better.
Nothing was too much trouble an enjoyable stay. Its expensive
V.Obliging staff on desk, restaurant. Excellent breakfast/brunch open Sunday until 11.30.Dinner good, if a little lacking atmosphere in restaurant V.Difficult to locate, must input sat nav details. Not easily seen from adjoining main road.
Staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. They all worked well together and are a credit to you. Room was comfortable if small, and breakfast was good. Didn't have time to use pool Window a bit drafty, so we could hear road noise
A very warm wlecome when we checked in at 12.30 am!
nice hotel, nice rooms no facilities. for that amount of money expected facilities
This is a great little hotel for business and the lounge area demonstrated that. Business men everyhwere. The staff were incredible. I would go back in a heartbeat. For business it's a little off the beaten path.
The room was comfortable, also the bar and restaurant. Service was excellent and staff friendly and professional. The sheets in my executive room had a couple of stains and holes.
I think the efforts of the staff all round made up for the shortcommings of the hotel generally. Considering Ramada Jarvis are regarded as 'High Level' hotels, unfortunately this did not live up to expectations with the room being noisy and small for a premium price. This compared to a Premier Inn made the stay not value for money.
Good value for money, very comfortable and excellent facilities.
Staff were helpful regarding early check-in request
exelent service and a good breakfast
nice rooms,nice breakfast,
Perfect for a couples getaway
Close proximity to the town centre It was on a noisy road
The welcome, the ambiance and the breakfast.
I enjoyed the service and friendliness of the staff nice and clean room and a good bed and shower!!
Very helpful staff, Rooms are small for the cost.
Clean, good quality, food good, friendly No bath, just power shower
Lovely people, anxious to please. Pleasant room. Not enough experience of hotel trade and hadn't ensured that everything was in place following their takeover of the business.
Personal attention n/a
Very personal and friendly staff, this small hotel with selected number of rooms makes you feel very welcome. The fact that there were proper duvets and that each room is decorated differently each having it's own style. And I loved the service that they bring your cuppa tea free of charge to your room. if anything, then the noise from the traffic but nothing that would stop me from booking again,
Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. All very clean. Room to park the car. lovely gardens. The bed was quite firm, and I prefer a medium bed. There was quite a bit of noise from creaky floor boards above us, which I suppose is due to it being an old house originally. Some sound proofing would be nice. But on the whole fine.
leaving! dirty , carpets , bedspread, bathroom, poor breakfast selection, also there was no review on this hotel
The food was good, but nothing else We stayed in room No.15, which was appalling, the room is old, bathroom dirty with chipped sink, very hard to use the toilet, due to the slope in the ceiling, you had to bend backwards to get close. Access to bedroom very steep stairs, which are dangerous
Staff very helpful in preparing the room early for us. The room we were allocated was only adequate, and was in need of refurbishment.
E-mail informing us about a wedding at the hotel and then giving us a room away from the reception so as to avoid the noise. Early check in as we had to go to a wedding nearby and they booked a cab to take us to the wedding. The dinning room for breakfast was a bit cramped and the tea & coffee could have been a lot better.
Hotel good no complaints staff friendly and nice room every thing ok
Room well equipped and clean. Had little opportunity to utilise facilities so cannot comment further on that. Not particularly happy with the breakfast. Plenty off it laid out, but initially no staff present and no breakfast menu indicating options. For instance I would have prefered a light breakfast of a kipper or poached egg and haddock but was unable to determine whether this - or alternatives to scrambled egg - were available. Lovely bacon though.
Relatively convenient location No, it was ok
Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay at Farnham House. The room we were allocated was totally unsuitable as my travelling partner was elderely - the hotel had been informed of this prior to our arrival. Food was not good and rooms were cold and dated . The above.
Lovely location, friendly staff. Decor is horrendous. Food warmed up from frozen.
First class hotel. There are no bad points what so ever.
Nice clean western style hotel. Free internet. Very comfortable beds. Isolated location with respect to shopping and restaurants/pubs.
Nice clean friendly modern enviorment My husband and I both suffered with hardly any sleep during our stay due to the fact that the bed was just so hard and uncomfortable
Nice modern hotel with great facilities. Liked the busy bar & having Starbucks in the lobby. Only shower in the room -no bath.
Good layout of hotel. Booking by net did not reach hotel,we were found diferent accomodation for part of our stay
Booked this hotel last minute and got an excellent deal, the room was fantastic, the staff were more than helpful, and there was an all you can eat english breakfast buffet! Wifi in the bedroom with an IPod dock so I could play my music in the room, iron and ironing board, everything I wanted was catered for. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area again! Nothing
the staff were very friendly and welcoming. the room was very warm and comfortable with stylish decour. Food was very good and alot of choice. more channels on tv
quitenesss, cleanliness, fitness gym, 1-rooms had no heaters while tempreature was -4c, 2- hotel dosen't have shuttle to train station or flight safety school , 3-no fruits or cokies upon reception. 4- no toilets amienity what so ever
I liked the convenience of the location, near the shops, staff were very friendly, i was able to get food and drink whenever, the rooms were nice and clean ans comfortable nothing comes to mind
Lovely old hotel with nice people running it. It's just down the street from the town centre which of course is lovely. Free wireless internet in a nice lounge area No parking near the hotel.
The location for the centre of Farnham is excellent. Parking before 6pm is a problem - park in the top car park, not the Waitrose car park as it's much cheaper (up the road opposite the Hotel) - this is not the Hotel's fault, just Farnham!
Room and bathroom comfortable & clean though could do with a revamp. No available parking, so not as advertised. I understood from Reception the hotel was due for renovation, so there was no restaurant either, however there were restaurants in town nearby. A bit of a route-march to get from reception area to the room. I was a bit surprised by cleaners wanting to do my room at 9.20 A.M. however they went away when I said I was not ready.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was cold and you had to pay for WiFi
Area around reception and public area was very good - recently refurbished to a high standard. Reception staff were excellent - helpful, polite and approachable. Bed was very comfortable. Room was scruffy, heating was inadequate though we were provided with a oil fired portable heater. Fixtures were dusty in bathroom. Hairdryer was inadequate and antiquated. I have paid a lot less for more luxurious surroundings. Television channels limited.
Location The resturant and bar were closed - facilities offered when booking were not available on arrival.
It was in a nice location We had to be moved from our first room as the toilet seat had fallen off and ther was only one towel for the two of us. We were moved to another room, in this room the bathroom radiator did not work and there was draft coming through the window that moved the curtain, there was paint falling off the ceiling and again only one towel had been provided. The staff were aware of the problems we were having but offered no reduction or compensation of any type.
The pleasant staff and it isvery central very poor breakfast
Staff, Cleanliness, comfortable bed Old Fashioned bedroom, Small Bathroom
the hotel staff and facilites were excellent
the price - too expensive for the quality...little rooms , no clim, TV remote control not working, no minibar, poor breakfast
Convient location with helpful staff
Breakfast the room, booked for a family of four and there were only three beds
Room comfortable; clean; quiet; good facilities; Shower worked well; Good cooked breakfast Room gloomy, lighting poor; Bathroom floor tiles cracked and bathroom window would not open for ventilation; Toast and cooked breakfast all on one plate, no butter or margarine for the toast, Only one small cup of coffee served with breakfast
I had a good feeling from the minute I entered the hotel. The staff were all polite and attentive and without attitude. The restaurant had a cosy ambience and the waiter was polite and attentive without being intrusive. The room was clean and comfortable. A minor point really, I found that turning on the taps for a shower awkward due to an immovable screen.
A bit dowdy, needs a revamp of furnishings
The evening meal menu was exactly the same each evening an occasional change would of been welcome.
Friendly reception, good location. very warm inside the rooms
The Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and tidy and more than adequate for an overnight stay. Plenty of coffee sachets in room but only 1 milk.
The service and food in the restaurant were both excellent. The vegetarian options for the cooked breakfast were very poor (basically the full English but without the sausage, bacon etc.)
it was pretty good value for money if you need to be in the Fleet area
I have criticised the Lysmoyne previously. On this occasion they were excellent in the way they looked after my mother during this stay, No
convenient location for our needs. very enjoyable breakfast.lovely setting.Shame we could not stay longer none
There was a desert spoon holding the shower head together in room 10
Staff were friendly but lacked expertise and experience, okay for 1 or 2 night stop over but not really family friendly, not a lot to do at the hotel, had too get out and about to find fun and adventure for the children. We stayed a week and spent most of our time away from the hotel, probably wouldn't stay there again.
staff very helpful when deficiencies pointed out. Cold shower due to limited capacity of boiler during upgrade,
Friendly staff good food Very public areas
It had a pleasant outlook onto a lawn area. It was easily accessible on the ground floor yet sufficiently secluded to be reasonably quiet. On arrival the room was oppressively hot and it proved difficult to moderate this except by the expedient of turning the radiator off altogether. There was a persistent ticking sound, possibly associated with the heating system, that was disturbing. Provision of net curtains for daytime privacy would have been appreciated.
Nice quiet room, all the normal facilities. Good breakfast Cleaners were quite noisy in the morning, and knocked on door to see if they could clean the room instead of waiting until we had checked out.
The room was comfortable and spacious and the staff were very polite and helpful and made us feel welcome at all times
The best part of my stay was my massage wirh Sue. She is excellent. I was disapointed that the Steam Room & Sauna were not working.
Very nice room, not like in another english hotels.Very good bathroom. The breakfast was really good. The reception and the main building of the hotel looks very expensive The room was a little bit too small. The long way to the room wasnt nice.
Very friendly and helpfull staff
Overall good No elevator, would be an advantage to be able to indicate preference for a ground floor room
friendly good service drinks very very expensive
Expected better from Holiday Inn,room smelling of damp and were dull. After 20min at reception, they did change my room but only had (so called junior suite ! extra £30 ) slightly larger room with 1970's sofa and tv. Not really much better, toilet was loose with cracked tiles in bathroom!. Hotels public areas were revamped, looks very nice and modern, only if rooms were half as nice !!!! but rooms are in poor state.I Was booked for 3 nights, But checked out on the sat morning.Paid little more 500yds down road 4star hotel ,looking over airport amazing hotel very modern with free mini bar with tv in bathroom and Bose music. So if you going to Holiday Inn (Don't). I am not a snob but expect clean bright modern room not something from the 70s 80s Very poor Hotel with facelift.
Very helpful staff
The attitude of the staff always eager to please. the fitness suite nothing
Only an overnight stay but a clean room and a nice breakfast was all I wanted and it was what I got. .
At £58 for two people, inclusive of Bed and breakfast, you really can't complain. The room was functional and comfortable, breakfast was fantastic and the hotel is within easy commute of London. We recommend it. The room could do with a little diy but that's all. Great value for money.
We arrived quite late at night and were greeted by the night porter who showed us to our room and it was first class wit all the facilities required and after an exellent breakfast we checked out with no problems .I would recommed the Devils Punchbowl to anyone without hesitation.
Position Hotel in need of renovation
Good evening meal The carpet didn't look like it had been hoovered very well and the bathroom could have been cleaned better.
The food we had was excellent. The hotel was warm and there was plenty of hot water.
An interesting hotel set in the most beautiful countryside. The rooms were far from the A3, & when the new bypass is opened it will have no passing traffic. The hotel was a little run down, but clean and acceptable
In general the staff were outstanding. The manager, Denise was exceptional. A bright and cheerful person as well as helpful. Free wi-fi would have been a real plus. A small refrigerator in the room also would have been a big plus. This is a 2 star hotel so these items are iffy, but perhaps these items might have made it a 3 star????
Food was really good Tv only had 4 terestrial channels!
Very comfortable. Large room. Friendly informal staff. Brilliant value for money. I got the impression that some of the staff were a little under pressure and not too happy in there job. This was either through poor training or bad communication from the management team to keep staff informed of what they should be doing and there responsibilities and also letting the staff feel appreciated.
The comfort of the beds
The hotel receptionist on checking out was so cheerful and kind helping us with directions to where we were meeting up with friends.; She could not have been more cheerful.
Cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff We were in a quad room and the fourth bed was a made up mattress on the floor which we found unsatisfactory.
The hotel it self was quite good, clean and the staff good. Tv was a waste of time frozen picture on every channel. The food in the Brewers Fayre the first night was a disgrace. The Cheesy Cobbler I had was very poor hard as a rock bun and no cheese. My wifes Scampi were very poor almost burnt.
Very warm welcome. Service excellent.
The staff were excellent, both polite and efficient. The pre booked room was located immediately and the access given with minimum of waiting time. Having seen adverts fr a room at £29 it was a shame that my single room was over £60 possibly due to lack of detail on the booking web site.
Clean room even extra pillows provided. all staff pleasant and helpful. breakfast excellent.
Staff very helpful hotel and room clean
