Pros: Very charming hotel! Nice art work and decor! Great location with an easy walk to great restaurants and beach/river access. Their patio/ deck was very relaxing - good for an early self-supplied happy hour or late nite debrief. Excellent value.
Cons: Their hotel manager is very nice and helpful, but apparently has to do everything himself. Their kitchen area had some leftovers out from earlier in the day and then we did notice a problem with quite a few ants inviting themselves to the breakfast buffet. The manager handled it right away of course, but we noticed that it was going to take some professional help to tackle the issue.

Pros: Comfortable. Good power to both bedsides, lovely towels and linen, quiet - overlooking garden, a good location to local bars and restaurants.
Cons: Last time we stayed there a delightful warm woman was running the place and the service and breakfast were sensational, and our previous review reflected this. This time an older man is running it and whilst he is polite, communication was more difficult and the breakfast was not to the same standard. Cleaning standards have dropped just a little, scuff marks on the doors etc. Parking is difficult.

He phoned a company for me and even accompanied me to the central bus station as I needed to fill out a form. Pros: The owner is very kind and thoughtful, I turned out staying in a dorm with beautiful view on my own. Because it's still in low season, the hostel is quiet, as cozy as home. The location is also excellent, the beach and lots of restaurants nearby, there is a market downstairs, you can get some fresh fruit there.

Pros: David is a great host, super friendly and helpful. He offered us a beer when we arrived and even did my laundry free of charge. He also recommended us some great places for dinner and drinks. The room was incredibly clean, with a nice and big shower and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was amazing with lots of fresh fruit, savory and sweet foods, basically everything you could wish for. We can wholeheartedly recommend David's B&B.

Pros: Where to start? We arrived later than expected, nevertheless, Pedro, the owner, was waiting for us. We were provided a map, were asked what kind of food we like so that we could get recommendations on what we liked. Very obliging, always ready to help. Small presents in the room when we arrived, a fresh beer and finger food, these were really nice surprises. The room was clean and comfortable, our stay was just perfect. Definitely on the top of the list for a next stay in that region of Portugal. Muito obrigado por tudo!

Pros: The puzzles themselves! Also the very attentive host and staff without showing up all the time. So, most of time you feel you're are at home. You have cakes, portuguese licour, and fruit at your disposal all the time at the entrance desk. What a nice attitude! We'll be back surely!

Pros: Accommodations were really good. The room was well prepared and we felt really comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast could be a little better. Despite everything being good, like the fresh fruit salad, the pancakes, the fresh bread, it all felt a little bit disappointing given the fact that it was just your everyday normal breakfast, not what I as least am expecting when I go travel. Coffee was not great, could be a lot better.

Pros: This guest house is amazing!! I never stayed in a place that was made with so much love before. It’s really beautiful and unique from the inside with all the puzzles and the decoration , it’s super clean, and the best thing is that Pedro is very very friendly and open to his guest. He gave me many good suggestions and really cared about my stay there, not just in his guest house, but in the city as well. The breakfast was very nice and he had a lot of snacks and drinks to try for us. The Location is veeery good and central. I can really deeply recommend to book a stay in this Guest house, it was an amazing experience for me that I told to a lot of friends :) Thanks for that and see you next time, I will come back for sure :) Greetings from Berlin, Kevin

The Oasis Plaza is a modern 4 star hotel on the seafront. It is located in Figueira da Foz, one of the most important tourist centers in Portugal, with one of the biggest casinos in the country, a bullring, a huge area with recreational and sporting equipments and a lively nightlife. The hotel has 160 comfortable design rooms with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The hotel also has has a terrace from which you can admire the magnificent views of the Buarcos beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent, right in front of the beach. The room is very spacious and there was an adjacent living room with an extra bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet (as we had requested). Breakfast is excellent, with a lot of variety, one of the best we've had on a 4-star hotel.
Cons: The management offered us a complementary bottle of champagne which we couldn't open. It's not really their fault but next time maybe ask the room service personnel to open the bottle for the clients so they can enjoy it.

It was not only about beautiful accommodation, we have taken surf lessons with Nuno and this experience will always remain in our memories. Pros: Nuno was really welcoming and friendly. He gave us some advice for surfing and restaurant. Very kind! The place is very cool in a quiet neighborhood. The room, the bathroom and the over rooms are very clean. The hostel is near the beach, by feet for basic beach, 10 minutes by car for surfing. You can ask Nino questions if you want to surf as he's a surf instructor. We had a very pleasant journey. We definitely recommend this place!

Pros: Nuno was a fantastic host and offers top class surf lessons, his knowledge of surfing and all things related is legendary - if you are into surfing or want to learn this is definitley the place to stay. The location is excellent and Nuno has great recommendations for places to eat and visit. As a bonus the moutain biking in this area is also great. The full use of the kitchen makes it good for longer, self-catering stays and there is a well stocked supermarket within 150 mtr walking distance.

Pros: A nice little hotel in a central area of Figueira da Foz. Independently run hotel which is owned by the restaurant next door. When you arrive, if may miss the entrance to the hotel itself, as it's just a small doorway tucked next to the restaurant that goes by the same name. Not a problem though, as the staff at the restaurant also assist with the hotel and are helpful to get you checked in. The rooms are modern, clean and are good value for the reasonable price we paid. Bed was comfortable, the TV offered many international channels, though we didn't really use it. The bathroom was also clean and modern, so no complaints.
Cons: The noise from below by the casino entrance can be heard into the night, so having earplugs on hand just in case may be a good idea for any light sleepers. Also the breakfast included at the hotel next door, offers enough options to eat (cereal, toast, eggs, bacon, some fruits, yogurt, and baked goods), but if you are a coffee drinker, maybe plan to get this elsewhere, as what we had was quite bad. Still, considering breakfast is even included at such a competitive rate, we didn't mind, as what we saved staying at this lovely hotel saved us enough to afford a good coffee down the street!

Pros: The old - very nicely restored - house was in a quiet neighbourhood, close to the harbour and the enormous beach, with loads of supermarkets. Tiago created a very relaxed atmosphere with the two cats, the nice kitchen and the different places in and outside the house where you might spend some time, and meet other guests.

Pros: Hospitality and breakfast. Debby helps us too much with all what we need. They invited us to wine and chips on arrival.
Cons: Cleaning. Old facilities and no relation to the photos. There are three steps in the middle of the apartment. The living area and kitchen are much smaller and uncomfortable. The house has a lot of humidity. Smell musty and closed. The gas water heater serves other apartments, it turns on even if you are not using it. Intimidity with other users is compromised when they are using the swimming pool

Pros: Facilities were excellent. Especially bathroom. Chris and Debbie did absolutely everything to make our stay comfortable. My partner had broken her wrist recently and we were there for a wedding. Debbie offered to help with her hair - this is just one example of the many things they did for us over our stay there. Noting was ever too much trouble. If we come to F de Foz again we will definitely be staying there again. Breakfast also was fantastic.

Pros: Debbie and the landlord are fantastic! Coincidence was my birthday. Debbie prepared a strawberry pie in the breakfast. The dog received me as i was a person from the family. The breafast was nice the shower, a,bootle of a good wine into the room to drink.

Cons: • The bathroom had a somewhat bad, but tolerable, smell. Perhaps there was some problem with the sewage during our stay. There were also some perfume scents in there, that helped with the situation.

Pros: Huge room with view of the ocean, with the suite with spa access. Spa facilities are great (sauna, hammam, swimming pool with water jets). The hotel is close to the main area with restaurants, casino and bars all within a few minutes walk. It's also close to the beach.

Cons: We arrived late in the afternoon so the hotel's parking garage was full and it was really difficult to find a parking spot nearby. Unfortunately there was a very noisy event just by the hotel, which kept us up until very late in the night.

Pros: The location was amazing, you can get to the city center in 1 minute and to the beach in 10 seconds As I stayed on the 16th floor, the view was simply mind-blowing. We could see the beach and the entire city.
Cons: No parking spot, as we are in the beach it was almost impossible to park, even in paying spots. The hotel should have private parking available. The spa area was a bit claustrophobic because it was underground but it had nice conditions.

Pros: The breakfast buffet was wonderful with a lot of choices. The lobby area is absolutely beautiful. We got an upgrade to a suite and it was very large with a gorgeous view. Bathroom amenities are fantastic and great quality.
Cons: The dinner experience was mediocre at best. No one in our party enjoyed the food. It was much too heavy and creamy, it just wasn’t good. The white wine was not served very chilled and the waitress made mistakes on the order. The service was very disappointing - order was wrong, for the appetizers two people were served and finished their dish, then the third person got their dish, and once all three were finished, finally did my father get his and ate it alone. When asked about food, we expressed that we weren’t happy and there was no service recovery whatsoever.

Pros: Safe establishment, welcoming staff, thanks George and Madame! Generous breakfast. Excellent coffee Nice breakfast table with white table cloth. Clean room and bathroom, nice bath (looks new). Good value for the price as a solo! Felt safe in this establishment, staff is very alert of their surrounding, thank you! Linen shows wear but it's very clean. The bed is comfortable.

Pros: Old-fashioned family-run hotel right downtown on a pedestrian street two blocks from the beach. Comfy beds, spacious bathrooms. Nice little cafe with terrace on the ground floor.
Cons: The double rooms are claustrophobically small - they’d be okay for one person. The bathrooms are big though - seems like maybe the rooms were remodeled for disabled accessibility and space from the bedroom was reallocated to the bathroom.. We ended up paying extra for a triple, which was more pleasant. Though the cafe sells decent food and espresso, the included breakfast for hotel guests was very basic - weak urn coffee, orange drink rather than juice, white roll, ham and cheese but no fruit.

Pros: The uninterrupted view of the sea from the balcony was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and pleasant even when I asked for some plates and cutlery (we didn't have breakfast - €12!).
Cons: We were given a room with an enclosed balcony which felt very claustrophobic and not as advertised. We were moved the next day to a proper balcony which was better. As other reviews the rooms are a little dark and dated and the balcony furniture a little rickety.
