The rooftop garden restaraunt panoramic view is breathe taking! the food was delicious pricey but well worth every bite. The service was very classy, polite, attentive and friendly the staff made me and my two daughters feel very special. The waiter brought my daughter a shawl when he saw that she was cold and offered us one as well. Our room had a window with a view for people watching, the maid kept our room very clean, every evening when we arrived back from a long day our beds would be turned down waiting for us. The location of the hotel was perfect every thing in walking distance. Doormen and bell hops very friendly and courtesy. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly and welcoming and accommodate us with a bigger room when we revealed to him that our room was too small for 3 girls. We were hoping to see him again next day to thank him but we never saw him again. The breakfast is wonderful and delicious! Lots of food even at 945! i love the historical story of the hotel and old pictures of the hotel in the past. The antique furniture, history, and decor can only be appreciated by historical buffs. A historical beauty!
Some of the front desk staff were snooty and not very welcoming. The first gentleman we met was friendly we saw him only once out of the six days we were there. When I did ask questions front desk staff very short and make you feel like you are troubling them. The first room #145 was way to small for a mom and two teenage girls. I had adapters for my phone and the only one it would fit in was the bathroom. The Internet is very weak (which I knew coming in seems to be # 1 complaint). When you first walk thru revolving doors there is a woman sitting at a table not sure if she is with hotel however she is not very welcoming she is first person you see and she does not smile or say hello she does not make eye contact she is setting the tone and it is not good, smile say Bon Journo!
The location cannot be beat. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was awesome. And the staff were friendly.
The only drawback was that the walls are too thin and you can hear a lot of what goes on in the room next door.
It is close to railroad station and downtown. Staff are proffessional and rooms are clean. We used two rooms. Very nice hotel.
The hotel is situated in a good shopping and sight-seeing district and is very beautiful.
The floors in the room were beautiful but very slippery.
I was t Baglioni Hotel for the Florence marathon. I have apprreciated everything, the location, distance to the train station and to the city center (Piazza del Duomo is only 5min walking). Breakfast, very good selection of food, is at the 5th floor with amazing view of the Duomo and Giotto campanile. Staff was gentle and helpul and let me use the room until 2pm (after the race) without charging the extra time (usual check out is 12). great stay, Thank you
Centrally located, easy to walk all over the downtown area. The employees were very friendly and helpful, and the view from the restaurant during breakfast was outstanding!
The hotel is right in front of the train station and in walking didtance of the shopping and sites. Staff very friendly and nice
The rooms are quite old and kind of a musty smell
Location and interior of the hotel lobby and rooms. Internet connection available (for a fee).
Room felt outdated - maybe as in all old 4/5-star hotels in Italy.
I have been travelling in Italy for 2 months and this hotel is the best. The position is perfect, the view sensational. Rooms comfy and spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and efficient and are smiling which is rare in customer service in Italy. The restaurant has a wonderful view of Florence, the ambiance and service from the staff are great. A very comfortable and ejoyable stay..10 from me
A world-class hotel. Staff excude hospitality, the hotel is grand in its design. Rooms have a 19th century ambience, and 21st century appliances. In its excellent location, the hotel leaves nothing to ask for.
I would not have minded a simple plastic comb as part of the bathroom accessories.
Central location, close to station
