Cons: The very high ratings on this property are hard to understand, especially the comments around lovely decor etc. Each to their own I suppose. The decor is like walking into your great grandmothers house.

Pros: We have had a great stay at La Rotonde 77. Reception was great by Elsie, very personal and interesting owner. Breakfast outstanding with own made croissants, marmelade, fresh fruits, baguettes, fresh fruit-juices. On request she prepared "creps" for my daughters. We had the Azura-room, which was, spacious, clean with a nice view. Location in Barbizon is good in close proximity of restaurants and just 10-minutes drive from Fontainbleau-castle. For sure we will return for our next visit in Barbizon-area. Merci à vous, Elsie!!
Cons: All was superb. No negativ aspects at all.

Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: The host was friendly, the room quiet, the bathroom large.
Cons: The layout of the room was awkward. It had two levels, connected by a very narrow staircase. Downstairs there was a very spacious bathroom, but otherwise there was no space to actually spend time. Just a tiny table and a few hard benches. The bedroom was upstairs; it was very small and so low that you ran the risk of bumping your head all the time. Getting to the other side of the bed was not possible without bending over. The breakfast experience was awkward. We had breakfast with a family, sharing the same table and food. We would have appreciated some more privacy at breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, newly renovated rooms, pool excellent for kids, breakfast really good, owner nice and tries very hard to please and be friendly, wifi works well, good TV, lovely village location.
Cons: Access to onsite parking through narrow old gateway, 4x4 just about fitted, may not suite large vehicles. Plenty of off street safe parking nearby also so not an issue.
6.2 Good
Pros: Yard with a swing set and pool were great. Breakfast room is well lit and airy, and breakfast was very nice. Owner was very friendly and accommodating, with excellent English
Cons: We stayed in the orange room. The ceiling in the bedroom was so low I could hit my head (I'm 5'5"). The room was very small and claustrophobic feeling with no windows. And there was no top sheet on the bed.

Breakfast was brought to us and we had the option of eating in the lively garden or in our room. The street was very quiet.

Wisteria - Fontainebleau - Building
5
9.3 Excellent (199 reviews)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little apartment will all the necessary amenities. Really nice view.
Cons: The bed was a bit hard. Limited check-in time window.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect apartment in a perfect location. The host was welcoming and extremely available to support anytime. The apartment is doted with all necessary, a parking lot is just 2 mins at walkable distance. Restaurants and shops are also at walkable distance, the castle is just ten minute's walk. The bathroom has a shower and is doted with a regular hairblower, shampoo and soap.
Cons: Should someone prefer a salad rather than sweet breakfast should tell in advance. There is no TV set in the apartment (not a problem to me).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very well located in center of town and just 1 minute walk from Place L'Etape bus stand (bus route #1) - we took the bus to & from station. Host was very accomodating on early check-in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness and the modern appliances. The bathroom & shower were the best we encountered in our 3 week holiday in France.
Cons: Have to say, climbing all those stairs to get to the apartment - but that is Europe!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Owner was very helpful and suit our timetable. Recently renovated to high standard. They dropped off an excellent breakfast. French baguette is great and these were the best. Great location. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Street parking. No AC.

Pros: Lovely apartment in the old building. Excellent location. Very close to the Fontainbleau palace and many shops, restaurants and cafes. Amazing breakfast in the room. Higly recommend this apartment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room with all mod cons. Lots of charm and character. Located in a quaint and quiet street off the main street. It was more than we expected and we will be coming back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was well located, simply beautiful and functional, and was a lovely respite at the end of a long trip. It was a simple drive from there to ORLY for a flight the next day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: SITUATED ONLY 3 WALKING MINUTES to the Fontainebleau market place (and the interparking Napoleon PARKGARAGE - weekly fare 28.70€) is the tasteful Wisteria. It's name comes from beautiful Wisteria flowers growing over the entrance gate. We (a travel a proofed couple in their 40s) stayed 2 nights (and could have stayed longer) in the SUPERIOR APARTMENT under the roof. It is beautiful, very cozy and has things you need as described in other reviews and more: tea, coffee, chocolate powder, 2 bottles fresh water, milk in the fridge. The INTERIEUR is very tasteful, modern elements blend in very well with the old but newly renovated structures of the house. The lights are warm and make a wonderful ambience. The room, kitchen and bathroom were SUPERCLEAN. The BED was very comfortable. The SHOWER is great. The HEATING worked very well. As its an renovated building which has an older heating system the heater makes sometimes some quiet noises which I find relaxing (normally I'm noise sensitive). As we had the upper room there was no noise from top and you barely could hear cars driving by. We enjoyed the BREAKFAST in a basket a lot. We liked especially that everything was served in reusable glass bottles and jars, even the yoghurt. The croissants were nice and crispy. The COMMUNICATION with the Wisteria went through Thomas and he was quick and so super friendly at all times! We were asked several times if we had any wishes or needs. So attentive! ;-) We were allowed to CHECK IN early and check out late. Such special service served with a smile. It's a PERFECT NEST for a couple and we will return soon again!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff and the property is beautiful
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were given an upgraded room which was large and beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly and even located a fromagerie who would vacuum seal our purchases for travel. Steps away from the chateau and good restaurants.
Cons: Parking at the public lot was more expensive than anticipated. 18eu for the day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, attractiveness of the building, view of the chateau, friendliness of the proprietor.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the most beautiful hotel, run by two great brothers who are the third generation of owning the hotel. They could not be nicer. The view looks directly out at the chateau. Lovely court yard, sitting room and breakfast room. Delicious breakfast. On site parking. Incredibly comfortable beds. Fridge, kettle in the room.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: superb breakfast. Excellent location. Very comfortable.Very good staff
Cons: There was no lift
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and great view from the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very clean.
Cons: This place could be a luxury spot with a few tweaks, but is instead mediocre. The furniture and bathroom felt cheap (although comfortable enough). Also, the bathroom was strange - not a big enough shower door, and we could not avoid getting the entire bathroom soaking wet - made for an unpleasant shower experience. Overall (and nothing to do with the hotel), the town was too touristy for us and we will not be back.

Cons: Note that bedrooms are on the second floor, accessible by stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fred and his wife were very nice, the place had lots of charm and was cozy. The tastefully decorated room was small and was missing a place to hang our clothes, but all in all, a perfect, charming stop, and great location with lovely people!

Pros: Very nice family house and pleasant hosts. Breakfast was good. Quiet place. Walking distance to Barbizon centre. The rooms are a little bit small, but if you don't plan to spend your days inside, it is not a problem.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I loved the position of the property
Cons: The breakfast could have been better. We had to make our own coffee from a machine - it was ok but the cups were small and we were constantly having to turn on the machine. We got croissants and bread and yogurt, but for the cost I would have expected some fresh fruit prepared and the option of an egg.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Owners are very nice and hospitable and the house is quite charming
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very attentive and helpful. Barbizon and area are well worth a visit.

Hotel located right across street from entrance to the gardens of Fontainebleau Palace. Staff was very friendly and helpful, offering restaurant suggestions that were excellent. Breakfast was superb.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet was excellent! Although a bit expensive it was well worth it. The location could not have been better. Everything was clean and the decor very french (which was nice). Check-in and out was easy and quick.
Cons: The idea of the honour-bar in the lobby was interesting and nice (you take what you want and you fill out a paper indicating what you took and give it to reception, you pay for the drinks at check-out), but it was a bit complicated (especially the wine dispenser). Some of the information on the drink menu didn't seem to correspond correctly to the form you needed to fill out.

Pros: Nicely decorated, greats beds and perfect central location.

Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B was very chic and the aesthetics were lovely. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. We found the hostess was welcoming and the breakfast was amazingly good. There were excellent details and high end touches and the food was wonderfully presented.. The local area, as many will know is famous for its school of painters and therefore the village has a number of artisan shops and a good selection of restaurants. There are super walks in the forest nearby.
Cons: This may be a bit picky there wasn’t tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There was a lounge/dinning area which appeared open to guests, though this wasn’t made clear. Also we were unsure if the kitchen was where refreshments could be prepared as a guest. However, there overall experience wasn’t spoilt by this and we will return again.

Pros: We arrived during the heatwave in France (40C on arrival). We were due to stay in a cabin in the grounds, but Jean said that it was too hot and that he would put us in one of the rooms in the main house. Very nice and far, far cooler. The breakfast was extremely good (the best we had in France). The dining room was lovely with the double doors leading out on to the terrace where we were introduced to Hubert, one of the horses there. All in all a brilliant experience, and my wife and I would have no hesitation in returning there. A great place to stay if you're visiting Paris.
Cons: Nothing. It was an all-round excellent experience.

Pros: The location with horses, the domain, the breakfast (but no milk) The owner let us do the checkout later almost 1pm instead of 11am. That was kind
Cons: The bed was a coach. This is not good value. No working plug in the bathroom The shower was a bit fragile and deserves to replace
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and there were fresh flowers from the garden, in the room and on the breakfast table.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is an exceptionally charming property just a few minutes away from Fontainebleau. Quiet, pastoral grounds (with a dozen horses on site!) and spacious, charming, shabby chic lodgings - this place was perfect for us, a couple with a 10-month old baby. Jean was such a gracious host and even took the baby off our hands so we could enjoy the tasty breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable place with a bit of character in the Fontainebleau area.
5.0 Okay
Pros: John the manager was very pleasant as was the fiancé of the owner. The breakfast was good
Cons: We’ve stayed in many 4-star hotels and this certainly does not fall into the same category. There was no air conditioning in the room which was the main reason for us booking this hotel. We asked for a fan instead but it wasn’t available. However the owner of the Maison was curt and almost dismissive. The room was really spacious and well maintained. But the bathroom could do with a little maintenance and a shower curtain.
6.8 Good
Pros: The room was clean and the house keeper a lovely man. The hotel has a beautiful outlook!
Cons: The hotel is unstaffed. We arrived within the advised check in times and couldn’t find anyone to let us in. We waited for half an hour for some one to show up. At night we needed to access a fridge and went to the kitchen we found 2 dogs in the kitchen yapping because we disturbed them. As a result the kitchen floor was dirty. Seeing this turned us off eating breakfast. The furniture in the common areas is tired and the outdoor space is untidy and unwelcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hospitality. Spacious rooms, great location and views of rural France with a very large garden that was out of this world! The horses were lovely and beautiful with a nice dog that accompanied us on our check out. Amazing homemade breakfast, I really recommend! Ten stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was brilliant and we couldn’t have asked for better. Continental but so much of it, served on the patio. Jean, the man that met us, was lovely and so friendly. The house is fantastic and typical French,
Cons: Only two things.....we couldn’t have the chalet as it was not available and there was no Air Conditioner, T V or WiFi - so we just didn’t worry ourselves over it.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful location and Château. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Bathroom was poorly maintained. Taps and shower dripping so much that water was turned off when we arrived. got the feeling this is a work in progress. Note that the residence is not staffed full time in the building. Contact is via people in a lodge away from the building. Check in is at a set time and we were late due to traffic but owner stayed on.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Well appointed modern but cozy style
Cons: No pool No room service
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff were very pleasant and tried to explain the inexplicable.... why did the hotel have air-conditioning pumping out hot air through out the entire hotel when the weather was already warm !
Cons: The heat inside the whole hotel created by the hotel's air-conditioning. Apparently the hotel only has air-conditioning that heats at this time of year even if it is 26 + degrees outside and cooling is necessary. We were told the only solution to our room being unbearably hot was to sleep with the doors /windows left open. This absolutely had to be done as one could not stand to be in the room therefore insects could fly in and security not assured. We had to stay for 2 days with these conditions and there was no apology from senior management about this. I have just received an email (all in French, of course) from the hotel requesting a review on TripAdvisor, indicating once again their indifference to their failure to consider guest's comfort and enjoyment. Perhaps I will on this occasion post a TripAdvisor review... although it will not be the review they wanted.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice view from the window to very Nice Parc and a very nice shower in the room. Nice bars on walking distance!
7.5 Good
Cons: Aircon in our bedroom didn’t work; as we were staying during a heatwave this made it very uncomfortable. To be fair the hotel gave us some compensation for this, which was appreciated.
7.5 Good
Pros: A quite boutique hotel with nice staff. The location was excellent near to the city center and the lovely restaurants around it.
Cons: So little choices in the buffet. The entrance was hard to locate at the beginning.
7.5 Good
Cons: Some lights in the room are not working
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful environment the hotel has created at a very central location of Fontainebleau a town I used to live in. The room is specious; very comfortable bed. Parking is only three mins walk away, super easy.
Cons: Despite the very nice design and good taste of the hotel, the general maintenance of the hardware inside the building seems rather haphazard: sockets coming out, door frames splitting from the wall, one socket not working and corridor light bulb flashing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The spacious and modern design of the rooms.
Cons: The bathroom shower area wasn't properly designed as it didn't drain properly and caused flooding in the bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location right next to the castle and restaurants, and still far enough away to not be disturbed by the nightlife. Very nice and spacious hotel, with superb terrace for relaxing in the courtyard. The staff were really nice and super helpful.
Cons: Breakfast was nice and simple but a little overpriced.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location. The room was spacious.
Cons: The a/c didn't work. It was very hot indeed and the hotel sent technicians, but we just wanted to be outside all the time. This is a brand new hotel.I would expect the a/c to work.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Freshly made French toast
4.5 Okay
Pros: Not a lot
Cons: Total lack of any bonne homie. Language may have been a barrier. His persistent presence standing over us during breakfast was almost rude. This once gem of a location(as shown on website) has diminished the garden was a mess and even though we arrived on time we had to telephone him to get in 20 minutes later. In fairness he had arranged to move the booking by one day but that was a long time ago and I think he had forgotten we were coming. Three large dogs on a gate that was almost fortified was not a good start. When we visit our friends in Avon we will certainly not return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value, congenial host, lovely roses, good location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very good bedroom inc antique furniture with a modern and v clean en suite. Fullsome breakfast with more than we could ask for.
Cons: The outside of the house, stairs and balcony should be cleaned and the wood preserved. The wild garden and parking area could be tidied up. The lockable main gate could be maintained to make it less noisy to operate late evening
7.5 Good
Pros: It was very French. Lovely breakfasts and room. Made to feel welcome.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was excellent and very large with a great bed, great bathroom and fixtures. Very tasteful and in keeping with an elegant B &
Cons: B. The breakfast was excellent and the salon very comfortable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Jean-Pierre was a good host. I broke my glasses and he was very helpful in some minor repairs. We would stay there again. Close driving distance to Fontainebleau. Not enough restaurants open was the only issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was tranquil and secure, in a lovely garden. Breakfast was lovely and Jean-Pierre was attentive and helpful. Without his recommendation we would have missed Chateau le Vaux de Vicompte!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location.
Cons: I found the lack of a reception desk inconvenient.
5.8 Okay
Pros: the garden area
Cons: Breakfast was poor.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed. Leafy location Parking Restaurant on site
Cons: No hand wash at basin in bathroom so unhygienic. Inadequate hooks in bathroom for towels. Breakfast too expensive at 19€ should offer 10€ one as well
5.0 Okay
Pros: The rooms were spacious and the hotel is within walking distance of all the attractions and restaurant
Cons: The hotel wanted to charge an additional €300 for incidentials without agreement, and from their booking system could not match the booking price that I had booked and had issues trying to match their system room rate to the rate that was booked on booking.com. The reception area is very casual, and when we were checking out there was no one available to give our room keys to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find. Really well situated from the centre-nice short walk. Comfortable room with all the facilities. Good secure parking. Good choice at breakfast. Easy check in, and out. Lovely friendly staff. A good option for breaking up a long journey.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Was booking this location mostly for convenience for an event we were attending and was honestly expecting an overpriced but very meh experience. But my boyfriend and I were so surprised & impressed - a very friendly welcome and snappy check in process, and a really lovely room. Most importantly: the bed and pillows were comfy. Added bonus: great black out curtains and nice shower. Easy walk to INSEAD and downtown. Overall a great stay - would really recommend!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was in a fantastic location if u study at Insead! Staff were helpful and room was well maintained
Cons: The cards kept not working after a few days which was a pain
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Simple but high quality service in the town. Easy to get to the main attraction (Château de Fontainebleau) on foot.
Cons: It's a little bit expensive for me. Breakfast was too simple and the dinner was too expensive (for me).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Being guest of the day!
Cons: The food wasn’t that great. Vegetable wok for 14€ was nothing more than a small portion of stir fried vegetables. It did not constitute a main meal.
Le 3 Rue Grande - Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne - Building

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice bed and breakfast in the heart of Moret-sur-Loing. Located in a backyard, it is very quiet and in the morning one can have breakfast outside if weather permits. The hosts are easy going and friendly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bathroom was comfortable. Breakfast was nice and generous. The owner is kind. Good location for exploring Sisley.
Cons: No window in the room meaning no sunlight all day. Even if the door is glass door, as it is ground floor we need to cover it up with curtain to keep privacy. Feel stuffy a bit
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfort, cleanliness, facilities, welcome.
Cons: Surprised no TV..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and as well equipped as we needed it to be. The owner and his wife are very nice people and always willing to help. Room we stayed here in was Perfect for couples.
Cons: Parking is free everywhere in Moret, which is great, but this can sometimes makes it difficult to find a space reasonably near the property.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: No parking on site. Even public parking close to was always full.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful breakfast delivered to our door at our appointed hour, beautiful apartment with everything we needed with a large window facing a courtyard on ground level inside the old city wall.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and good bed
Cons: Nothing
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The property is far from anywhere. If you don't have a car you are screwed. Also, I only stayed one night and still got charged for two nights.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all , very bad experience. Will not repeat staying .
Cons: First , they lost my booking. Second , they gave different room which is totally not booked. Third, the room was zero facility zero quality. Fourth , they ignored my request to change the room. It’s not my responsibility you lost the booking and was not in your data while I have a confirmation officially.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was great being only a few hundred metres from the centre of town and the Chateau. Plenty of good restaurants nearby with a small supermarket less than 2 minutes away.
Cons: I paid extra for a superior double room which was comfortable and well furnished. Unfortunately, and it was very obvious to the staff who prepared the room, the shower door was hanging off its runner as you couldn't open or close it, and it had just been left hanging on one wheel! I had to rehang the door to then find that every time you moved either of the doors they both fell off the rail. This was not something that had just happened and was obviously a continuing issue that was never dealt with. I reported the issue but nothing was done while we were there!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. The director of the hotel gave my mother and me a ride the the graduation venue of my son, because my mother had a hard time walking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. Very clean.
Cons: Nothing. It would have been nice to be on 1st floor but not a big problem.
6.3 Good
Pros: Hotel location is in the center, very close to the palace and all the shops..
Cons: Owner do not allow us to eat our own food in the hotel, not even in the room?? He said the food smell will get complains from other guests, really? This is ridiculous!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room had A/C and wifi. We were on the ground floor and also had a little patio area to sit out in.
Cons: The cold meat and cheese at breakfast were not covered so flies were buzzing !
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was medium
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a very good hotel for visiting Fontainebleau Chateau, which is a 10 minute walk away. It has parking and the rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy. Enjoyed the Thai restaurant just 5 minutes from hotel walking, away from the town.
7.0 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room big and pretty. It was very clean (and I am picky!) so this is a huge plus. The breakfast was a nice buffet with quite a faire bit of choices though not enough seating places in the garden on a lovely summer morning. Location is good, about a 10 minutes walk to the palace and the centre of town.
Cons: I was in a room at street-level and on the street side. It was therefore a bit difficult to let the windows open at night but, at the same time, there is no climatisation in the room... so ti was quite hot on that summer night. Though they did provide with a small fan. The parking is an extra 10 euros a day, which is really not cheap. To be taken into account.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, pleasant garden and on site parking. Friendly helpful staff

Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice lady running the stables and b&b’s, super friendly and helpful, also spoke fluent English! Kid was really excited about the horses at the stables. Location next to the forest was handy for bouldering, I guess also for horse related activities. Fontainebleau city is nearby. Two-storey space works great, especially with a second toilet upstairs. Breakfast basket was ok, but nothing fancy. Could come again!
Cons: Kitchen was a bit of a mess and not super well equiped. The airconditioning machine is a loud joke, so it was super hot upstairs in the evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Will be fabulous for horse lovers. Very friendly owner. Location brilliant, local supermarket, bank, restaurants. Comfortable stay.

Pros: Decent breakfast, good shower, charming host, lovely horses and dogs

Pros: The location is right across from the Chateau, and on a street with tons of restaurants. The family room is nice and large.
Cons: The family room is up 3 flights with no elevator. A tea kettle/coffee pot would have been nice.

Pros: City transportation availability and travel card
Cons: Waited a long time for anyone to talk to me about dinner. Left hotel, came back and asked how do I order dinner. Was told just have a seat and we will take care of you. I explained my waiting period, apology and I got dinner. Decent price, poor service!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room, much needed air conditioning in the room in the hot weather, very clean ,nice bathroom. Great breakfast for 10€ . Perfect location.
Cons: A little bit more space in the room would have been better.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: Expensive for what it was, poor shower, small room and 10€ to park your car per day, only stopped for 1 night but this I thought was excessive
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff and position
Cons: Not enough outside space
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Professional and extremely helpful staff with helpful advice on where to eat nearby. The hotel is well-located and we walked to the chateau just one block away and to restaurants discrict.
Cons: I found the car parking entrance a little narrow for our hire car (which was too wide!). It was okay, we made it but if you are not confident parking a big car maybe park in the street!

Cons: The parking lot drive way is very narrow, and there is no lift from parking lot to hotel lobby.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A quiet patio area looking onto a garden, ideal for having breakfast.
Cons: The air con in one of our rooms was at 23C (air con automatically reverts to pre-programmed temp.) No drawer in the room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Very small rooms and parking is a challenge.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very close to the chateau and food and shopping areas. Good lighting, pleasant decor and good in room air conditioning. Comfortable bed.
Cons: The limited food service available isn't really very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Fontainebleau hotel. We've been going there for years and have stayed at many hotels in the town. This is where we'll stay now. Reluctant as it a bit "chain-y", but it more than makes up for it. It's close to the heart of everything, but tucked in a side street. It is a few steps away from Parking Chateau, where there is huge amount of space. Despite the confusing signage you don't pay for the hours 7pm to 9am so inexpensive and super convenient. Room small. No view. Don't go there if you want luxury and an impressive room. Breakfast was really great, better than in a much more expensive place. Self service of course. Boil your own eggs. But delicious fresh crusty breads. Orange juice machine with bowl of fresh oranges. All the usual stuff, but nice version. You can eat outside in quiet back courtyard area. The staff are lovely. All really friendly and specifically call out a hello to you as you come and go. They make a friendly atmosphere.
Cons: of course the rooms are smallish.
