big parking area, friendly staff, amazing beach, excellent service maybe bigger swimming pool
friendly and helpfull staff, clean beach, nice food, interesting events
the beach the kichen
Their private beach and very clear beach In three nights staying they didnt change our towels at all. We know that the 4 stars hotel they change it daily basis
beautiful garden, swimming pool; nice sandy beach poor noise isolation in the rooms; little greek specialities in the buffee
Pleasant and clean hotel with great food beutiful beech
I loved the proximity to the beach, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the tranquil atmosphere. I really loved that you weren't piping music to the beach. I loved the water, swimming, and then coming back to a clean, comfortable room to relax. The food was not very good at the outdoor restaurant and the shower needs a shower curtain. I also did not understand why the beach is not always all-inclusive of the room price (we had to pay to be there and were told that only deluxe type rooms had full access to the beach).
Services and facilities in general were of high standard, especially the food. My room was impeccable.
The location was great and the hotel grounds were very nice. The room furniture was very old looking and outdated. Food was OK. Buffet style. The beach was nice. We did not use the beach chairs at all since the fee is $10 and for a family of 6 it's not worth spending that much money. We did go to the beach but just to swim. The hotel pools have salt water as well. Old looking furniture. Outdated rooms. Poor TV Chanel selection. Horrible Internet/WiFi. Average food.
Relaxing atmosphere, good buffet breakfast with big variety, plenty of swimming pools so they were not overcrowded. The umbrella and sunbed charges at the beach were not acceptable for such a five star hotel. Also, although it mentions that parking is available, the parking is available only for owned cars and not for rented ones. Finally, in our bedroom there was only one thin white curtain and unfortunately everyday we were waking up very early from the sunlight. They should have had two sets of curtains.
everythink iz ok
Great combination of nature with luxury. Excellent organization, beautifull space No
It is a very confortable hotel for family situated in a nice place.
Outdoor pools are very good; the breakfast and dinner are very quality; Hotel staff is unprofessional except in the spa and bell desk; working time of the sauna is short; they need to improve the gym; the entrance in the sea should be clean from the stones;
The room was very comfortable and situated near a green park and near the sea, the food was rich in asortiments. There was no activity after the dinner and you have to pay to stay at the beach.
Beutifully placed hotel with low appartments , in the green next to the white beach. The hotel staff were excellent especially the guys driving the golf carts made all the guests feel special. The reasturant for dinner was always very crouded . I beleive it needs another restaurant.
The environment is very nice, very careful preserved, the rooms are also nice, the position of the hotel is also good, near to many beaches of Chalkidiki and to the "cosmopolitan" Kalithea. There was a problem with internet. They don t have internet in rooms, as they advertise, plus the wireless of the reception didn t operate at all. It s unbelievable a 5stars hotel not to provide u internet access in our times. Also I think is overpriced for what it offer to you. The restaurant 's boufet it was very big but I don t believe that it was respectively tasteful.
Location, hotel staff I should clarify:There 2 location, one is far from the sea and another is very far from sea (over the road). One restaurant was closed and it was in use only one, not enough for all the people. Due to that, the location was very crowded, the waiters service slowed. It is definitely not a 5 stars hotel!
Nice sea, clean and spacious beach with showers and dressing booths, comfortable and clean room, nice balcony, good food, friendly staff... No wireless internet in the room, expensive hotel shop, the beach beds and umbrella are not free (7 EUR) and the parking area could be paved.
Beach was very nice, bungalows are beautifull, room was very nice & clean, food in the restaurant was excellent. It's a nice & quiet place for a family with kids
The service, facilities, the pool, and of course the beautifyl sandy beach the cleanliness could be a little better (every day vacuum cleaning)
The staff was very kind, we were given a free upgrade to a suite with excellent view because we didn't like the view from our previous double room. The hotel is really nice, very close to the beach, the food is good and is in a remote and quiet location, excellent for a romantic weekend. Would like to go back there again! At this point I can't think of anything I didn't like.
The room was big and very clean. Breakfast and dinner were quite good, except that they made us pay for the mineral water at dinner. The staff was really kind.
Surrounding of the Hotel , beach , very helpful stuff Very remote location , nothing to do outside the hotel , very expensive non inclusive items
The hotel is nice, the staff is kind. Both the breakfast and the dinner were good. The only problem for me was the lack of mosquito nets - we spent a lot of time fighting with the mosquitos during the nights. No BBQ fish at dinner, but it seems that this is common to most hotels in Greece with the HB option.
nice location, nice room, quite secluded. a lot of rules and timeframes. Swimming pool closes at 19.00 and you have to pay to get a chair on the beach in front of the hotel.
pool area, food room distance from reception, very noisy at night, room needs redecoration
The location of the resort is simply amazing. I stayed six nights and I could not get enough of the facilities. I was particularly impressed by the nearby marina area which is part of the resort. The food was very good. The room cleaning service could be faster. Some days, the room was not cleaned until after 2 p.m. Drinks at the restaurant were expensive and so were snacks at the beach and pool bars. Most of the staff did not speak Greek.
Range of food available on the buffet, Style of hotel Prices were very expensive and no details about what food was being served in the restaurant.
Lots of eastern european staff that my russian wife could talk to. Hertz car hire point. Good beaches with plenty of space even at peak times Not too sure about the cooking -but there are restaurants for the fastididous albeit at a small surchage. Price quoted by Internet 300 euros less than I actually paid.
The hotel is big, specially good for families with small children, a really great staff, and what we liked the most it has excellent beach. We travelled with a six months old baby and had nice and relaxed holiday. Even though the food is good the menu could be more varied, especially regarding dinner. The prices of drinks are unreasonably high.
Great place for holiday
The staff were delightful and very helpful, the resort was well planned, the facilities provided were good, the resort was well maintained The area around the hotel is pretty grim and a car is an essential requirement if you want to venture beyond the resort itself. We were the last guests to leave (NOv 1st) and the availability of a a variety of foods diminished considerably as the week progressed.
we enjoyed meeting all the international staff and learning about them and their countries. we didnt like having to make reservations for our dinners. we like to eat when we get hungry.
Nice hotel, friendly stuff and very comfortable and well cleaned rooms with nice decoration. The suite had two beds instead of one king size bed and the internet connection mostly didn't work.
The pool and beach combination was great. The hotel is fairly smal and the grounds are easy to navigate and use. The menu at the beach bar was very limited and not representative of the greek cusine and definately not suited to a five star hotel rating. The dinner menu was just as limited and lacked flavor and freshness.
fitness romm or bycicle way on description hotel write we have wireless internet, and in reality it was not :)
Comfort and beach Services
Close to beach, friendly staff, clean rooms, good food & drinks, nice views (especially sunsets) Not a 5 star hotel at all. People at reception should lear to walk the talk and not just pretend they are customers oriented.
Very good pool and beach side facilities Over priced bar meals and drinks
design of bulidings, of the site, room, inlcuding bathroom. Many many things . But you say that I am not allowed to complain . So, what could be something I didn't like which is no also a complaint ? If could more specific, I will be able to answer this question. Anyway, I recommend this hotel in 2-3 years from now. For now, they seem to me as a beginers . Beautiful site, not asa much beautiful service and organization.
We liked the beach and the facilities there;new furniture in the entire hotel and our big terrace. There is no wireless internet in the entire hotel as it mentioned in Booking.com-only in the lobby of the hotel. We didn't understand if sauna and fitness room were existing in the hotel.
Some of the best things at this hotel were the excellent rooms, the very nice pool, a beautifull beach and the very friendly staff members. Some other reviews I read say that the staff members try too much or that even sometimes they are not friendly. What I have to say is i) trying too much is never bad and ii) the visitor also needs to be friendly to the staff as they are human - what you give is what you'll get if you know what I mean. the price was good but I did not stay during high season. Based on the prices I saw for July - August I could say it's a bit overpriced but it's definitely a super deal for May - June - September.
A five star hotel provides its guest with a kitchen that operates after 2100 hrs that enables guests to eat. If not, it is NOT a five star hotel!!!! The opening hours of the kitchen needs to be improved as well the quality of food offered in the poolbar/restuarant, if not, the hotel can not continue to be advertised as a five star hotel.
Very very noizy. Mosquitos everywhere. No internet in rooms.
The beach, animation team, and the room ventilation in the elevators
Great Value for Money ,friendly stuff all around. One of the best places to relax
The room is perfect, with a panoramic sea view. The beach is clean and the water is beautiful. The hotel is not far of Kalitheea and Afytos. There are a lot of tavernas and shops for souvenirs in Kalitheea. If you are by car, you can also go to Petralona cave, which is aprox 45km from the hotel. The breakfast is not diversified, you have the same dishes every morning and you have to ''hunt'' the vegetables, as you can't find them all the time. The indoor pool with the dome is a joke - it's closed during day, it's small, it smells weird inside. The outdoor pool is not cleaned every day and it has a lot of sand on the pool bottom and dead bees. The sunbeds are not very comfortable as they dont have any cushion and you have to pay 7.5eur for a sunbed with umbrella on the hotel private beach.
the hotel's beach the food
It was only one night, but it’s enough to feel the positive energy and the good hotel operation! Check in was fast and friendly, bell boy escorted us to the room, (our beautiful room with big bathtub), Beach was clean, cocktails were refreshing and dinner in Akrogiali Tavern with fresh fish and good wine was the best closure of the evening!! Thank you all very much and we promise that our next holiday is with you again!!
The beach was excellent with crystal clear water , the variety and quality of food available for evening meals was also execllent.
Nice beach Better stuf ,no rude reception and waiters, better furniture
Great Value for Money
The second time we have stayed there - first time two years ago. The beach and sea is perfect. Small towns nearby good for shopping and restaurants. This time the other guests were predominantly Russians and Macedonians, rather than Western European. Something of a culture shock! Also local traders have become extremely expensive; fruit is at least 5 times proper local market prices, and fish restaurants are charging 60Euro per kilo for fish. There may be a financial crisis in Greece but this was outrageous.
not is 5 stars hotel
Location - on the sea shore, facilities - a few pools, gardens, vast green belt around, newly refurbished and luxury interior, perfect aircon. Room minibar and elctrical board are producing constant noise (not very loud, though). A bit of a shortage of sun chairs at pool and beach.
I've enjoyed the room which was large with a nice view. The reception staff was helpful They start doing cleaning at 730
The pools and the comfort of the room was ok.The TV was way too small and the picture was with snow,so there wasn't a chance to use it all. The TV was way too small and the picture was with snow,so there wasn't a chance to use it all.The choice for the food for breakfasts was not for five stars hotel. When we left the room at the end,we forgot something in the room and the receptionist made my girlfriend go five times to the room with diferent cards, and we lost 2 hours, till we got the thing.
The room interior and the furniture were really good and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was not so various for a five star hotel.
the beach There are still reconstractions work . This hotel at the moment is very far away from 5 star hotels, and the price is not equal to services and facilities.
Not worth the money paid. Expensive and not even a bottle water to be found in the mini bar.
Its like goverment officers summer camp I never fill this form after my booking.com bookings this time I did for claiming. Specially registration vas too bad its more like immigration office then an hotel front desk
Location - directly at sea shore, newly refurbished interior and exterior, plenty of space and green around buildings, two outdoor pools, well looked after overall. For some reason electrical board in room was producing constant noise. Breakfast ends too early for holiday hotel - 9:30.
Accomodation, beach, garden Breakfast
Only the view of the beach from my room on the 8th floor. Nearly all areas need improvement: facilities, room design and cleaning, personnel, food, pool. Wireless internet is not free at the lobby in contrast to what is advertised on Booking.com
Great Value for Money
Location Only Bad Service
The hotel has a good location, it was clean and has a fantastic view to the sea.yoy must pay the umbrella at the beach. The boufes was very small for the size of the hotel and the food is very poor. το φαγητο - μπουφε- περισσοτερεσ ομπρελεσ
Very nice staff and room. The best about the hotel is the close location to the Halkidiki's best clubs of the summer season. Food of the half board.
We had a nice time at this beautiful location! Cleanliness was a big + !! Clean room with fresh towels, not a single dirt in corridors and complex generally! Nice beach, although we prefer the pool. Trees, flowers, gardens all over the place. Peaceful although so near the clubs
Great Value for Money
So Medieval!!...It felt like we stayed in a Castle! Really romantic candlelit dinner for 2 in Italian Trattoria, lovely sunsets by our sea view balcony, I totally lived my fairytale in a weekend getaway!! I only wish we could stay more!!
We expected a much more luxury hotel being a 4 ½ star hotel; however, we will only assess it to be a 3 star hotel and thus we moved after on ly one night feeling that we didn't get value for money. The general standard was absolutely not 4 ½ star hotel
Location, right in front of a nice beach. Everything: The hotel is extremely outdated and old fashioned, it definitely needs a renovation. The ammenities are very poor (for example: no room service) and there is no sound-proofing.
beach location is just in front rooms don't match the 4 stars. It have the most small bathtub that i ever saw. I couldn't even seat. :-(
The view is excellent.
very small parking space, we sometimes had to park the car outside tha hotel
The sea. Hotel is quoted as 4*. I strongly beleive that 2* are belonging to the sea and only 2* to the hotel itself.
The thing I mostly liked during my staying at the Ammon Zeus Hotel is the hotel location, its distance from the beach, its approximity from the village center. On the contrary to what I read in the guets' comments / reviews about the hotel staff attitude, given from different guests who stayed before in the hotel, I may say that my impression is positive in this regard. I may comment positively about two ladies at the reception desk, a young lady and a mid-age woman with dark hear, the cleaning lady serving at the floor where I stayed, the 4th floor, an old woman, etc. A small and kind comment I have is about the hotel stars. In no way the hotel can be qualified as a four-star hotel. This rating is misleading. In my opinion, the hotel needs renovation because it is too old and not in very good conditions.
The sea-side view from our room, and the hotel's location right on the beach. The buffet breakfast was very basic and and overall it wasn't worth 210 euros' per night.
the view and nothing else Even if they pretend they are a 4 star hotel the meals included (I payed half-board) were much more like a student canteen. The products offered were definetely the cheapest ones on the market and for two days we were served the same old bread and probably the same horribly cooked eggs (looking something between omelette and shoe polish).
they need to put rails on the pool staircase they bathroom floor drain got clogged and all the disgusting foul smelling waters came up. the air conditioning doesn't work too well this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel but location is excellent and staff was very nice
We stayed just one night and we will choose another time too.Just good hotel!
