We actually thought we made reservations at the Holiday Inn Express near the Easton Center, so when we arrived we found we needed to go to a different hotel. The location worked out fine, but my son's apartment was closer to the one near the Easton Center. Either way, we would have had to get in the car to go anywhere, so no difference. It really was just a place to sleep, never looked at pool or work out facility. They did try really hard to make continental breakfast nice. Unusual location tucked back behind a strip mall, guess that is not really a "con", it was just hard to see how to enter the parking lot. Room was clean and we were just sleeping there, but stale deodorizer smelling air . . . More fresh air would be nice.
The location. The pillows were like hard bricks . We had loud people above is that woke us up at 3:30 and continued till 4:15. Called the front desk and she did stop the racket. The front desk employees were nice overall it was not their fault that such rude guests were staying there.
The bed was NOT comfortable! The bathtub would not drain.
The hotel is nicely located and the property is clean and well maintained. The amenities (full size refrigerator, two burner stove, large desk, etc) are ideal for the extended stay business traveler. The free dvd library and lending of board games and cooking devices such as crock pots and juicers are a very nice touch. Being on the side of the hotel facing the airport runways meant the noise from airplanes landing and taking off came right into the room. The extremely noisy through the wall heating and air conditioning unit cycled on and off every 5 minutes. It's placement was less than a foot from the bed which made it impossible to sleep. The reservation was for a queen size bed but my wife and I were disappointed to find a full size bed in the room. The mattress was extremely hard and very uncomfortable and the pillows very small resulting in a very restless night of no sleep.
I like the kitchen amenities in the room and honor system snack room
The room was clean, I did a full bed bug inspection and it was all clear, as that is my biggest fear about staying in a hotel The "pantry" is crazy expensive. The hot and cold in the shower were labeled backwards, they forgot to stock towels but it was easily resolved.
Lots of things to do and a very nice place. Enjoyed my stay.
Our say was great and the staff was amazing and helpful. It was nice that the hotel was connected to the convention center so we didn't have to worry about driving and parking. The only i really have to complain about is even though the room was clean and nice the bathroom need to be clean just a bit more. The shower curtain was growing mold andi found hairs in the tub.
The bed was extremely comfortable and there were many pillows. Very nice and responsive staff. Complimentary Yoga mat on request. The room design was cold and dark (no overhead light, and the lamps had fluorescent bulbs), the bathtub creaks when you stand on it to shower, and the carpet had little white hairs on it, but they did clean it well when I complained. The pool room is dank, outdated, and uninviting, the picture online makes it look much better than it is. We did not want to use it at all and that feature was part of why I chose the hotel.
No hot water in the morning, whether at 7 am or 9. It was approximately 70 degrees -- not hot enough to shower or shave. Front desk attendant offered an $8 credit. Really? Never, ever again.
Bed is comfortable. Front desk staff and valet professional. Housecleaning: seems like they don't care. Take the tips. It no effort in cleaning the room.
Liked that it right it the heart of the downtown area. In walking distance to all attractions. Valet parking is worth having.
The pillows are the most comfortable pillows on the planet. Almost had to steal them they are so good.
I loved that bottled water and premium coffee were in our room. Also had very comfortable bed and friendly staff that was very helpful when we asked about different areas to visit.
Room was clean, and comfortable. Bed was very comfy! Hotel was conveniently located on a bus line, and cabs were also easy to get. Many good eateries and places to drink within walking distance. Very friendly staff. Best perk? Starbucks in the lobby! We were traveling on a very busy weekend, and I realize that. However, the check-in process was painfully slow. The line to get checked in was out the front door by 330 pm. There appeared to be four computers at the main desk, but we never witnessed more than three employees working at them, and mostly there were only two. We stood in line for a solid 25 minutes before being taken care of. Staff was friendly and courteous.
Placed a breakfast order, when it didn't come at the time I called and they said it would be a few minutes 20 minutes later still no breakfast. Finally told them to cancel the order which they did (no charge).
The staff was the best part of the whole place. Overall a beautiful place definitely worth going back to and you were treated like you are the only one that matters. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are a nice slice of home. The bar and room service are a touch overpriced but the service itself is great, the staff makes up for the price I suppose.
Good location. Close to everything. Getting woke up at 7:00 am from the laundry guy coming to wrong room. Then the cleaning lady just walking into our room without knocking and we had the do not disrupt sign on.
Room and view was amazing. Staff was really friendly. Location was perfect for access to downtown and attractions. Prices at hotel lounge were rediculously high.
Great location Substandard service due to understaffing. Dirty sheet not changed, had to wait to be seated for breakfast because all tables were dirty. If you have 3 events going on downtown one weekend you need ample staff. Beautiful facility.
We picked this hotel because we were traveling with our new puppy. There were a lot of other guests in the hotel that also had dogs, but didn't hear any barking or such when in the room. We were on a non smoking floor but it did smell a bit smokey in the hallway, but not in our room.
Good sized suite with all the amenities one could possibly hope for. Location in respect to shopping and restaurants.
Equipment breaks down. Furnishings look worn. Lots of children--not a problem but limits value of pool area.
Beds Price point No wheelchair for guests Carpet had ripes in it & was dated
Room service food was good, My Turkey Club was HUGE ! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was convenient and close to the Zoo and other entertainment. size of the suite was good for 2 adults and 2 young kids. Indoor and outdoor pool option is nice. For the price i feel that breakfast should have been included. It says it will sleep 4 comfortably with the pull out sofa bed .. my 6 and 4 year old just fit on it so 2 adults will be a tight fit. Wi-Fi was terrible unless you wanted to pay a fee.. when i registered for the room we said 4 people but every time housekeeping cleaned they only left 3 towels and one night they didnt leave any wash clothes at all .. and when they brought them after we called again they only brought 3.. Pool was nice but small.. was not busy when my kids and I were in but i could see it being cramped with a few family s there. No exhaust fan in the Bathroom and the tub took about 10 minutes to drain. There was a lot of road construction at the time we were there.
Nice tvs; room decor was nice; soft/thick wash cloths; quickly replaced broken hair dryer; extended checkout time; animal friendly hotel; nice location Staff was distracted and had prolonged check in and out times; room was dusty/dirty on furniture and areas of floors/corners; closet door missing from room was visually distracting; hair dryer did not work and had to be replaced; sheets were extremely dry and rough; hallway smelled like cigarette smoke
Nothing. While staying at this hotel with my friend, (both in our early 20s and both females) were both sexually harassed to point where we no longer felt safe at the hotel and had to check out after being there very briefly for the evening. The harassment included writing notes on our feminine toiletries (and then we were narrated a story as to what the writing said, with sexual innuendo), using our personal information that we used to check into the hotel with to add us on social media, and calling up to our hotel room to the point we had to take the phone off the hook. We felt unsafe in a city we had never been in, and expected more from the "4 star", "nice", "clean" Sheraton Suites. If you are a female or have children stay somewhere else, this hotel CAN NOT be trusted, especially if your traveling alone. Don't put yourselves at risk of becoming victims of sexual harassment or even worse sexual assault.
2 pools, hot tub & fitness center. Located behind movie theatre & right off highway Bath tub very small/shallow
Don't bother upgrading to the club room. They say that breakfast is included. But it's really a continental breakfast for one person. I travelled with my family so not worth it.
Club level very disappointing. Was under the impression there would be cocktails and appetizers. But no cocktails and only one lukewarm appetizer. Also expected snacks available. Only thing provided was water, pop and coffee. Bar did not open until 5 pm. Rooms were a little outdated.
Rooms were large, clean, relaxing. The hotel bar was closed very early.
Great young girl at the desk. She was outstanding and I wish I remembered her name. I do know she had a recent birthday as we brought her a piece of cake because she was so nice to us and our daughter who was the entire reason we took the trip: to celebrate her birthday. Breakfast was less than exciting.
The rooms are nicely appointed and the staff was super friendly. The lobby is great, much better than most these days, with 4 big tvs. Slight mold smell near the pool.
Our stay was Quiet and restaurants was closed so we could eat without driving a lot to fine a restaurant
The room was incredibly clean and the staff very friendly. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was way better than the typical continental fare. The pool was great for our kids though it doesn't have steps, only ladders to get in. When we were checking in there were also two college hockey teams checking in. The agent at the front desk moved our room so we wouldn't be near them. It was a small thing that made a big difference to our stay.
When we arrived, the staff at Crown Plaza told us they were having some issues with rooms. However, they sent us to the Drury down the road, an even better hotel, and paid for everything! Fantastic customer service!
Old, limited bedding materials like pillows, blanket
Very clean, staff was great! The bathroom was not conducive to 2 women. Both mirrors were in the bathroom. Needs an extra mirror in the main room
You probably hosted the refs for the michigan ohio state game who were terrible
Location is convenient to all the sites in downtown Columbus. Very clean and a super friendly staff. Great amenities. Restaurant is very effiecient and the food is very reasonably priced. Wished the pool had been open to swim in.
Location to dining and shopping, Convenient parking, sports bar inside hotel. Room temperature was too warm. Thermostat seemed to not work.
Great location. Lots of shopping across the street. No hot water or it took forever to get hot.
Att Easton Town Center, quite possibly the best, most complete shopping area ever. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. The Hilton is a 4 star hotel with full service in the right spot.
The facility was somewhat dated, and not a very good value compared to other hotels in the area which I've stayed before. Front staff desk was good Facilities were somewhat dated rooms were average and the food at breakfast was only fair service at the dining room. Based on my experiences in the area and will not return to this hotel.
The bathroom was very nice and so was the bed!! Room service also! Too high of a charge for gratuity for just My Husband and I. The room itself was small and pretty basic for the price.
Location to shopping and restaurants. Easy access off highway.
Excellent location we could walk everywhere in Easton. Wonderful staff Slightly dated, they allow dogs and we happened to be 2 doors down from one that barked every time someone walked in the hallway, also they seem to have a lot of large groups that stay in the hotel. On one evening our hallway was filled with about 40 tweens from around 8pm until 1am. It wasn't until around 11pm management decided to step in which they made several trips but wasn't until around 1am it completely stopped and in the morning the kids rans through the hallways switching the do not disturb signs around to other doors and we watched them go outside in the parking lot to play frisby letting the disk hit the guests cars, no one said a word. Staying 3 nights housekeeping never once stepped foot in our room and we had to stop them each day for fresh towels. At check in we took a king room with a sofa bed but if I had to do it again I definitely wouldn't sugest using the sofa for a bed. It was terribly uncomfortable and felt like all springs plus there were no fresh linens, only the bag we found shoved in a closet that we later found mouse poop on. We let management know but they claim even though we paid full price for the rooms since we booked on kayak there was nothing they could do & offered us a free breakfast.
Called for more bath towels and never delivered to room. Called 10min prior to pickup car from valet and still had to wait 10min for car to be brought to front door.
Location, King Sized Bed. Tiny room, poor wait staff, cramped and outdated amenities.
Quality of service by stsff Rooms are small. Quality of food and food options are low
The bed was worn out and lumpy. The position of the toilet bowl in relation to the shower is terrible. It is impossible to sit straight and take care of business- for such a nice hotel someone should be in big "DO DO" over this.
I liked the location I didn't like how the way some not all of the front desk staff does business maybe they were having a bad day or somthing but that was the first time and hopefully the last time I got attitude from the staff
The facility was beautifully designed and decorated. I had a positive first impression at entry. N/A
We got a super deal online during the Christmas holidays when the hotel was relatively empty. The reception staff greeted us cheerfully when we arrived in the middle of the night and gave us a room upgrade that gave our family a little extra space and more restful sleep than we would have had otherwise. The room was fantastic, and the breakfast bar more than met our needs. Since we were traveling and on a tight schedule, we weren't able to stay for a Christmas event in the ballroom later that day, but the staff took us and our children on a tour of the carnival set-up. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and professional. The on-site Starbucks was a bonus. Thanks to Frederic and all the staff in Columbus for their generous hospitality.
dirty and old; rooms need renovation badly
Very clean and well maintained. Room was lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was truly nothing I didn't like.
We stayed in a newly remodeled part of the hotel - the room interior design was very pleasing (on the minimalistic side) yet the room was comfortable with all needed amenities. Bathroom was spacious and well lit. Plenty of channel selection on TV, free wifi.
location was great and I liked that the TV had Netflix access. it was way more outdated than I thought. the bathroom was especially old and the hairdryer barely worked. even the phone seemed like it was struggling when I tried to check out. Overall, I was expecting something nicer for a four star hotel. I wish I would have stayed at the holiday inn express up the road.
It was clean, well furnished, the staff was friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
The staff was amazing and so helpful. I was staying with my sister and her friend for a concert in Columbus. The staff was able to help us with things we had forgotten to bring. When we left we forgot a shirt and they called us and we were able to return to pick it up. Awesome. nothing
Clean efficient. Excellent friendly service
Very clean, comfortable, and accommodating. Breakfast and happy hour were great. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was nice and clean.
Room was very clean & spacious.
Beth at the front desk was fabulous!!
Pool, but there was cars pulling up and bringing people that were not staying there in. Safety, neighborhood, quality.
Nothing I made reservations at the wrong Hawthorne. I called the Hawthorne on Hamilton Rd. To make reservations for my son to spend the night alone. The person I spoke to said because I wouldn't be spending the night I had to make reservations with Priceline. I booked the hotel in N Cols by mistake so I called Priceline and they said given my circumstances the hotel may issue me a refund. So I called and asked for the manager. The female I spoke to on Sunday June 12 was condescending, rude and extremely mean. I don't think I have ever spoken to anyone working in the customer service field this horrible. She could have said, I'm sorry but I can't refund your money but I felt like she was a gift with me and she told me she wasn't going to refund my money and hung up on me. My son was literally in Columbus, without a car and no transportation so I called a friend of mine who drove 3 hours to get my son, pay for his hotel, and make sure he was safe. I also want to add I checked on Facebook and the reviews for the Hawthorne North Columbus are atrocious and I know why first hand. The female should not work with people. She made me cry I was so worried about my son. Thank God there are decent people out there. She is not one of those people.
Quiet room with kitchen and frigerator Workout room was dirty. The physical exterior needed paint and the deck needed updating
Price Everything, customer service is horrible. Tamara on the front desk has the worst guest relations/customer service I have ever encountered. I rented 2 rooms for 2 nights for my family, 5 of is traveling, and it was horrible. The rooms are old, unrepaired water damage and just "icky". The breakfast attendant must truly hate her job because she treated everyone with as much disdain as possible. I will never stay here again and I would caution anyone looking to stay here as well. August 12, 2016.
The location. Everything else.
Suite was large and perfect for a 3 generational family including the family dog. The suite was poorly maintained, mold on the ceiling in the shower, front door didn't want to close well, there was grease and stains on the wall next to the stove, grease and dust on top of the refrigerator, ice maker made very little ice over the 2 dsys we were there. Trying to get clean towels was a chore, the staff acted as if we were going to steal them and everything else that wasn't nailed down. The other guests were great, the staff, not so much with the exception of Tamara at the front desk - she was great!
Nice suite. Complete kitchen. Very good breakfast. Very close parking to the suite. Accommodated our ground floor need. We were not informed that we had to request room attention. I had to walk to front desk to get clean towels. Should have been done while we were out for the day.
Staff was friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean. Crib brought in for baby right away. Bathroom was well-kept. Hot tub and pool were busy, but generally in good shape. Room was old, where A/C had a little bit of musty smell. Shower fixture was older and the hotel in general looked dated. Some part of the hotel grounds and hotel itself were dirty/grimy. Could not be convinced this was a true 3.5 star hotel.
I was near a shopping mall USED shampoo, smoke detector need a battery and the staff didn't do nothing about it for two days that i was there. Only good that we got was its pet friendly
did not feel secured. I will never go back there.
It was clean, for the most part. The front desk staff told me where to park the company truck, so that they could see it on their security cameras. The fact that I need to park the company truck in front of the security cameras so that it would be safe. The rooms looked clean with the exception of the couch which was covered in nasty looking stains. The place is cheaply built and poorly maintained, it is just worn out. I did not feel, as there were drug dealers outside my window selling drugs until late at night.
My original room was not to my satisfaction but the staff was very polite and accommodating and quickly fixed the problem and got me into a different one. The grounds were beautifully kept and the hot breakfasts and promotional complimentary dinner were great perks. The rooms are old and in some need of repair but they are clean enough and very roomy making this hotel a great value.
Overall a nice hotel Had ants in our first floor room.
Very clean and comfortable! Food available 24/7 and a friendly bar atmosphere.
Asked not to be put in a room by elevators or ice machines. Wound up in a room closest to elevators!
It was mostly clean and a good value for the money. They have free breakfast if you're into that. Free parking too is nice. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Way too firm, and the pillow cases felt spongy. The pillows themselves were either too firm or way too soft.
Everything was great. The breakfast was perfect.
The room was fantastic, extremely comfortable after a day in the road. Food was available 24/7 - extremely polite and professional staff. We have stayed in a lot of hotels in this road trip and our visit here was by far the best.
