Good location for visiting the old and new part of the town. Comfortable, clean and airy room, nicely decorated. The Palazzo has a nice big roofterrace with a view on the marina. Mrs Elisabetta (Betty) is very friendly and helpful in making your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast at the Fontana Grecca is limited, but satisfactory.
The room was beautiful.
Location, is central for the old and new Gallipoli. All effort was made to acccommodate any request and ensure I totally enjoyed my stay
The staff was outstanding and very accommodating to the guests. They went above and beyond the call of duty! The location was right by the sea with a delightful walk to the city center and the beach. My room was very clean and well decorated and the bed was the most comfortable one I have slept in during my 6 months of European travel. I stayed for 4 nights and would have liked my towels to have been changed out at least every two days. Especially since it is a beach city! Also, a couple of nice throw rugs for the doorway would be helpful when you have sand on your feet. I was always using my towel to wipe my feet clean.
This B&B is perfect! The owner Betty is so kind and so helpful. My boyfriend and I really loved our stay over there. The rooms are very clean. Betty kindly accepted to give us a room with a sea view. The breakfast is also great! A lot of home made pastries, cakes and croissants are served. In addition, the location of the hotel is perfect! Very close by to the castle, shops and restaurants.
Luigi was always helpful and available No
Very nice B & B, breakfast not served on site but at local cafe (bar) capo/cornettos. Must park at port 5 min walk from B & B.
Great location right in the middle of the charming old town and with short walks to city bus and the new town. Very charming old building, great rooms and bathrooms, all new. Breakfast served at nearby bar, fresh croissants and cappucino. We were happy with everything. The taxi was not allowed to drive all the way to the B&B, but we were met by the manager who helped with the suitcases all the way to the B&B and up the stairs to our rooms, both upon arrival and departure. Very good service.
very aesthetically pleasing - a lot of thought has clearly gone into the decor - room kept very clean and I loved the location no hot water on the first morning (though after that there was always plenty) - bed (though comfortable) was two singles pushed together rather than a real double - & not suitable for anyone who really doesn't like high ceilings ;)
A delightful B&B establishment. Convenient to the beach, local restaurants and shops. Only 6 minutes from the railway.station. First class breakfast. Very large roof top terrace available - ideal for watching the sun set whilst drinking the local wine. Excellent value for money. Highly recomended. Fulfilled all expectations.
The staff was friendly and warm. There the building inside was beautiful with marble and excellent paintings. The room was small.
The owner was a lovely lady, charming and helpful but not intrusive. The room was large and comfortable and individually furnished, giving the feeling of staying in someone's home. Breakfast was good by Italian standards and was taken on a balcony - particularly enjoyed the cakes! The balcony was available for us to use at other times as were comfortable sofas in the reception area. The location was good, just a short walk outside the old town with free parking available on the street. the shower cubicle screens were a little fragile - needed to be opened and closed gently - but they did work.
I stayed here in August when in desperate need of A/C and found it here. View during breakfast from rooftop deck is very nice. Central to old city. 2 minute walk to beach. No view from room but you can't have everything.
A very friendly, well-run hotel in a historic palazzo. A very relaxing place to stay in a beautiful part of southern Italy. The residential floor of the building is aextremely interesting and a must-see. A visit to nearby historic Lecce is definitely worthwhile. Not applicable
A well-run, high-quality, convenient and extremely friendly place to stay in a beautiful location No
Availability of parking in a large lot with surveillance camera ... and a manageable walk to the hotel with luggage in tow. Hotel is way past its prime! Very much needs to be updated. No excuse for having a broken chair in room (we could have injured ourselves) and a water glass in the bathroom that was broken at the rim with a very large piece of the glass missing. We could have cut our mouth on the sharp edges had I not noticed the breakage. We did not want to touch anything as everything look dirty. Luckily we only stay one night!
Location, staff, roof terrace
Lovely old building Car park a long way away
Characteristic hotel in historic centre with nearby beautifull small beach.Owner is happy to show clients their private rooms in their ancient palace
The family atmosphere and nice terraces for reading, breakfast and sunsets. The location was nice. For a scandinavian something salty (cheese, ham, tomatoes) with bread and fruit for breakfast would be nice - otherwise the breakfast with warm pastries and friendly service was nice with brilliant views.
Great location and amazing views from the roof terrace. Very accommodating staff though an open (non encrypted) internet hot spot would have been helpful. Good included breakfast on the roof in the morning sun...didn't want to leave. no
