Friendly staff, clean quiet rooms, views of the mountains. Excellent buffet breakfast. Good evening meals. Convenient bus stop.
service and friendliness none
location . Good value. Friendly atmosphere
Hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from the train station. Also convenient to everything & located in town. Staff was cordial & pleasant. Would definitely stay at the Atlas Posthotel again! No complaints. Mattress was softer than we were used to but you can find that at any hotel.
great location and excellent breakfast Lack of parking
Breakfast was outstanding!! No front desk staff overnight until 7:00 am
Free breakfast buffet was outstanding No cots available for our children to use, despite reserving an apartment sized room. This required us to reserve a second room, significantly increasing our costs.
breakfast was good parking
Location. We stayed here several years ago and went back because we enjoyed the hotel, the people staying there and the location. It appears to have slipped some but maybe we just caught it at a bad time.
The breakfast was very good at the main hotel and booking an apartment meant that there was an equiped kitchen and washing machine. There was no parking at the apartments which are separate to the main hotel and there was no internet service at the apartment.
The location was walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. There was no parking, so we drove around for quite a while with 2 small children trying to park, which costs money, of course. Our double room was literally the same size as my brother's single room...but cost 30 Euro more. Military note - they did not accept my vat form. The bathroom was very small and not constructed well (gaps between ceiling and wall). No balcony & poor view.
This is the best place to stay in the Garmisch area. If you do not stay here, you will be sorry. Kind, considerate, caring owners. I will not stay anywhere else besides here.
I really enjoyed a very warm hospitality and would surely recommend this hotels to my friends.
Great hotel! Charming garden and impressive antique interior! No
Excellent staffs and services. Clean room, quiet environment with mountain view. Breakfast is also very good. It would be better if the hotel can clean the table and the seats in the balcony as well.
Great service, very nice and cozy hotel. A+
The room was comfortable and the staff was great. I liked that there was a lounge room where you could enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.
Excellent hotel in a quiet area, with mountain views on all sides. Easy 10 min. walk to the town center, and to the train station for Zugspitze visit. Very nice breakfast included in the room price.
Room comfort and staff courteousness and assistance. no tea/coffee faciliites.
Beautiful grounds and wounderful breakfast. Great quiet location but close to the center city. Not able to get onto the Internet.
a very pleasant atmosphere, a feeling of being welcome; attractive interior designs
Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains, free mini-bar and cappuccino maker. Room service was great and the food was wonderful. The indoor pool was kept at just the right temperature and included a plunge. The sauna rooms and hot were also nice and not a hassle to use. All of the spa services were booked so I am unable to comment on them. The restaurant was extremely hot to us and the room was also very warm but we were able to open the doors in our room to cool it down.
Staff was very friendly and helpful...receptionists and restaurant staffs spoke English well. Although the majority of clients were mature, our 4-year old was made to feel very welcome. Hotel was exceptionally clean, nicely appointed and centrally located to Garmisch's shopping/restaurants. Spacious underground parking is well worth the daily fee.
I was very appreciative of the hotel staff at the front desk and in the dining room. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel as being wonderful.
Our varanda allowed a direct view to Zugspitze Mountain. The hotel is within walking distance to the center of Garmish-Partenkirchen. It was not about the hotel itself but about the fact that we spent a week-end there without knowing that it was a national holiday (Integration of Germany). We should have thought about it, but it is an aditional service your company could provide. The problem was that almost everyting in town was closed, saturday and sunday.
Beautiful location where you can do everything you want or absolutely nothing. Convenient to everything you need.
Friendly and responsive staff. Excellent continental breakfast. Beautiful environment and location in Garmisch-Partenkirschen
Charming, friendly, and everything you need at a low price
The reception staff and waiting staff were outstanding. They were polite and informative and seemded to work tirelessly to ensure you had a great time. The recommendations given to us by the reception girls on where to visit were all spot on. Our family had a great time and one which we will remember for a very long time. Thanks
A very nice hotel with great views! I loved the room and found the bed very comfortable. It was nice that they spoke English as well. We never got to use the pool because it closed so early. It would be nice if they left it open later, especially in the warmer months.
Location to downtown Garmisch, and good view of mountains.
The rooms were lovely. Decorated beautifully and the design unique and very functional. Lovely garden and spa and great breakfast. Good location and quiet. No.
The spa/pool was very enjoyable.Views from our room were breath taking.Easy location for walking about. The breakfast staff got upset when I used the wrong bread in the toaster. The front desk staff did want to accomadate our need to find a lesser price room in the hotel to meet our needs/budget.
Room 84: delightful curtains, good space for hanging and storing clothes. Hope to return sometime. --
staff was great, full breakfast was unexpected, but super. sauna was not open at convenient times after a long day it would have been nice to have it available in the evening.
The site was central, the rooms were clean, the breakfeast was quite good. The staff did not seem to understand very basic hospitable behaviour. Things like saying hello, goodbye in any language, establishing eye contact were not in the staff manual it seems.
the town and location
Staff location I was disappointed that your dining room was closed as I look forward to dinning there when I come. but I understand that everyone needs a holiday. I would make sure that your loyal customers know that the dining facility is closed in November. this is not a complaint
nothing special the guest house is very old, so when you walk or upper floor people walk, you can hear all the time, also the bed making noise when you turn or move on the bed.
Beautiful location, very good food (breakfast and dinner), nice room with balcony - wonderful view. No aircondition.
I've stayed at this hotel more than once and I will keep going back. The rooms are spacious, breakfast is excellent, the staff are friendly and the location is awesome for walking around the shopping area. They are dog friendly as well and parking is free along with free internet.
Just stayed one night, very nice hotel. Our family room for four has large and the balcony view was great.
friendly, nice and calm service,
Very kind staff and good location
The location to the walkplots. Also, the view of the mountains was amazing. Friendly hotel staff.
Spacious room with balcony overlooking the mountains. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Central location and close to Railway Station. At the moment there is a lot of building work going on in front of the hotel, but It did not affect us as our room was at the back of the hotel.
Hotel Aschenbrenner has a wonderful staff and a delightful hot breakfast each morning. Great location for walking through Garmisch. The room was small but still comfortable.
Location was excellent and staff very friendly. Excellent breakfast included in the cost of the room. Front desk was not manned 24 hrs. and management was very upset when we rang their bell for service at 5:45AM in the morning. They did not explain this to us when we checked in or we would have checked out the night before
very nice experience, old authentic hotel that makes you feel like movies style of living in country sides, the location and view is magnificent, free enternet and very clear bathrooms which makes you feel comfortable using them the single room is quite small, but that was not a problem for me
Nice quiet hotel with friendly staff and a great location. Very clean.
Excellent location. Very clean. Good breakfast, and friendly staff. A bar would be a good addition.
We liked the close proximity to Garmish-Patenkirken and the view of the Zugspitze from our balcony!!
The room was large and very clean quiet & modern, the views, location and breakfast were amazing! Walking distance into Garmisch!
Very nice and quiet, the breackfast is absolutely excellent, would definetely book this hotel again .
Friendly, clean, lovely breakfast. Very helpful staff. A little noisy - small rushing river flowing across from hotel - we had to keep our windows closed. Close proximity to everything. Would recommend!
Nice breakfast in the terrace and very helpful staff Limited parking space
Quaint hotel in a quiet area, yet convenient to the downtown area, just a few minutes walk.
Position, Parking, View to the Nature without Lift!!!
It's obviously family-run, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The walls were thick; we couldn't hear our neighbors, and they couldn't hear our screaming 18-month old. Breakfast was probably the best value -- all included and absolutely delicious. You can't blame the Almenrausch for this, but it was terribly hot when we visited, and like most European hotels, there's no A/C. Opening the windows helped a little, but the way the rooms are laid out, there's no crossflow of air unless you open the door to your room, which isn't really an option. Just FYI if you're accustomed to A/C and you're visiting in summer.
The scenery stunning and great location, in the centre of the town. The people/staff was very helpful and friendly.
everything was very nice
Charming, great location near town but on a quiet street, hotel proprietor was extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was decent stand European-style fare, guaranteed parking and free internet were great! View of mountains from our room wouldn't been great but was fogged in during most of stay. Terribly uncomfortable beds and bedding, no elevator (and we were on the 4th floor), poor bathroom towels and amenities. The charm and friendly atmosphere made up for all but the terrible beds and pillows which left us with sore backs each day.
The owner, his wife and son were very considerate and the breakfast was very nicely done. The hotel is in a very convenient location.
It was very cute and super clean. nothing
the staff was very friendly and spoke English very well, also helpful with directions. there was no on site restaurant but there many within a 5 minute walk
Friendly family business, good breakfast with later hours, convenient location near town.
The couple who owns and runs this charming B & B are wonderful hosts. The room was lovely.
The owners were friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was good, especially as they will cook you an egg to order. Parking is a little tight behind the guesthouse, but free parking is available out front.
Big room No common area
Centrally located. Great service. People should just remember that it is a Gastehaus. If you need internet passwords or an extra pillow, you need to ask during business hours.
The owners were extremly friendly and helpful and made our trip more enjoyable. The rooms were very nice, well maintained, clean and a great value for the price. If your looking for a local flavor for visiting friends and family, this is a great place to stay. Thumbs up!!
The proprietors were very friendly and helpful. The Gasthaus is very clean and thoughtfully set up for guests. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it others.
Excellent location, within walking distance of many attractions and good dinner places. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, they made us feel very welcome there. The parking is a little tricky at times, but we were able to work around that.
A very helpful and seviceminded staff.
the front desk was helpful and the breakfast was great The hotel staff leaves at 8pm, all the facilities close, the room was very very small and the bed was uncomfortable
The hotel was quaint, exceptionally clean and well appointed. The breakfast was very good and the parking convenient. We were directed to some sites we might otherwise have missed and restaurants in the area were outstanding.
Staff were friendly The rooms were very small and we kept bumping our legs off the side of the bed. I thought the hotel was pricey for what it was it was more like a guesthouse (no bar,no room service). It did have a swimming pool which is probably why the guests have to pay more
Family owned, very friendly people. The bed sheet was dusty and felt uncomfortable and itchy. have a very sensitive skin.
Morning breakfast was included. I wish the pool would have stayed open until 10pm. We did not get back in time to use these facilities.
The location was convenient for the town & station. The staff were very friendly and helpful with information. There was also a good breakfast, and we had a nice room with good views of the mountains.
The location was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It was close to the bus/train station and easy access by car with free parking and free internet. Look forward to staying there again.
The hotel is close to the train station making travel convenient. The lady working the reception desk was exceptionally nice and helpful. room was small
