Traditional hotel built in 1854 facing the lake and the famous jet d eau The hotel is also ideally located in the heart of business and shopping district. It is also five minutes walking distance away from the old city. With its 127 rooms - including 16 suites - entirely renovated - the Swissotel Metropole Geneva is the best venue for both business and leisure. Genevas International airport is approximatively 7 km away and the railway station is in close proximity to the hotel.
Very expensive. Small room. Old model of the bad. Very expensive room service. Very bad and expensive internet connection - moonzon. Refund of the deposit was after four weeks.
Courtesy and assistance extended by all members of staff -- especially by those at the concierge desk
Small closets, limited drawer space, wallpaper separating from wall. This gives the room a somewhat shabby appearance
Staff very helpful. Excellent restaurant. Facilities generally very good with a first class situation on the waterfront in Geneva.
My first night coincided with a disco on the 5th floor. It was noisy and intrusive and out of place in a 5* hotel. The management dealt with my concern admirably, including a subsequent discussion with the General Manager who was genuinely concerned.
Proximity for shopping
Very excellent location. staff are great.
No swimming pool.
Rooms are very small
location, room, bathroom
Luxury hotel without the sometimes overwhelwing fuss - excellent, discreet, service, pleasant and friendly staff. Godd facilities. Great location. We had a great break.
Ample room and large, well equipped bathroom with tub and shower stall; nice piano bar; concierge very pleasant and helpful. Great location.
Food and service in main diningroom was not up to par for such a nice hotel.
Watching the view from the hotel, onto Lake Geneva, the food, the chocolates and the tv in the bathroom.
