Friendly staff. Caravan and shared bathroom were clean. Not many guests on our our first two nights which meant we almost had the place to ourselves. Last night it started to get busier.
15min walk into town and 30mins to the train station. We caught a tram from train station and then walked. We always walked into town. Bascially like camping but indoors. Caravans were quite small. We thought we paid alot for what we got but it was one of the best reviewed cheaper options in Gent. Like most hostels kitchen was well equipped but could do with a good clean.
We had a great stay at Treck Hostel. Not too far from the city, a great place with very cosy and original places to stay in (especially the caravans) and have fun (special mention to the recreational room, the Netflix screen and the swings) Staff super nice, clean bathrooms (divided for males and female), great conversations and breakfast, we even had the chance to taste some cheesecake. If you pass by you'll even be able to pet Bob, the true master of the place, a cute black cat who purrs and let you take him on your knees whenever you want. I definitely recommend it !
Special place with rooms built inside old style caravan.
Bathroom too far from The room. You had to pay for cappuccino although breakfast was included. Lots of dust everywhere. Although not allowed people were having fun well after midnight (singing song, playing guitars etc). Absence of flexibility from the staff (it seems to be a rule in the country).
Cool common areas, with table tennis & kicker tables
Distance was a bit far from the city centre
