Great Hotel. Very clean, confortable and smell free. The reception staff in particular were extremely helpful and friendly and helped to make the stay very pleasurable.
Nicely updated hotel.x Friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money. Not sure if its a 2 or 3 star. Room was very warm though and road noise high. They need to buy new towels.
Super food and good value too !
Food excellent. Nice terrace area. Staff very friendly. Bed a little uncomfortable.
Friendly, helpful staff; good regional food, clean and comfortable rooms and a decent swimming pool It would have been even better (and cheaper) had a family room been avilable.
The swimming pool The room we were given had one small window which could noly be opened about 10cm. The weather was hot and no fans were provided. The room had lots of cobwebs and could have done with a good clean and a shower curtain
It was easily found, ideally located and had a perfect combination of room types for our group. There was a smell of cigarette smoke in the room, though this is almost expected of hotels in France.
swimming pool - though it was a bit cold. And the restaurant dinner was excellent and very good value. A bit gloomy, and the room was rather basic. The whole place had a 'down-market' feel, but we only stayed one night so it didn't really matter.
Convenient for many of the top ski areas and well placed for many other mountain activities. Pleasant restaurant with good aambience and good food. Bar is not very inviting, hardly ever manned. Only a couple of other places to eat or drink within easy walk of the hotel
Comfortable room, convenient location close to La Plagne ski resort (20 km), good value for the money
The location for a skiing holiday was perfect however not much else in the area. The reception area was very darkly decorated and not very welcoming as a first impression and restaurant staff were very straight faced and not very freindly, hard to approach and made a few mistakes with the billing overcharging by quite a significant ammount.
The meals on half board were excellent. The staff were attentive. The double bed was two singles pushed together which was unconfortable because they were made up separately with two single duvets - a large bottom sheet and a larger duvet is needed. The room was far too hot during the first two nights of our stay.
It was very well situated for access to the ski slopes. The room - a family room was lovely both in decor and size and both my girls actually got real beds - not sofa beds as is the norm! The food was very good but was detracted from by the poor quality of crockery - every meal we picked up something that hadn't been washed properly . It was advertised as a Spa hotel and this is the main reason we chose it. The spa bit was very small and we were asked to wear a bathing costume at all times even in the sauna!!Despite a long list of regulations, for use of the Sauna including no - one under 17 (I paid full price for my eldest daughter but she was not allowed to use these facilities - this was th first thing they told us on arrival but I do not think it is on their web) , they did not remind guests to take a towel into the Sauna which meant that people sat there sweating all over the wood. This is so yukky that neither my husband or I could face using the Sauna. Either the French have different standards of hygiene or the hotel are not 'au fait' with how to use a Sauna.
Staff very friendly, close to the slopes and ski school meeting place. choice of evening meal
This hotel was very expensive for a poor quality hotel. The room was small and pokey, the towels were tiny and rough like dishcloths, the bath was so small you could not lie down without your knees touching your chin, the 'whirlpool bath' button did not work, we had to pay extra for the parking even though we had already paid an exorbitant price for the hotel.
Excellent buffet breakfast Wonderful views of slopes and mountains Good leisure facilities (ie pool, sauna, etc) Very slow service in restaurant Limited menu choices in evening
I liked the very Alpine wooden decoration and design. I thought the food was excellent. The receptionists were very helpful. The bedroom was not large but was well equiped and everything worked. It was quite far from the restaurants and bars in the centre of Belle Plagne.
Its location. The ski resort No
Location. Certainly not 4 stars.
Good lcoation to Tdf cycling. Excellent service from hotel staff to staff in surrounding hotels.
location is spectacular, staff friendly and helpful.
Good location, room fine Young staff who didn't make much of an effort to help...had skis stolen from inside the hotel and delayed luggage sent to the hotel by the airline was never given to me even though I told them that I was epecting it.
The room was very warm and clean Having to Clean the room or be charge 150e
The apartment was quite small but well decorated and very warm. Ski storage was ok. Well signed for those arriving late. Overall=good. Apartment's kitchen area is very small, no oven just two hot plates. No towels. General areas not clean. Hot tub looked like the whole French Rugby team had just finished their post match bath, so got out quick. Post-stay cleaning doesn't seem to be included in price. The Manager put notes on door and in rooms saying he expected apartment left "perfectly clean" or there would be a charge/fine of 75-150 euros (pity his own areas weren't as clean). This made us quite angry and we were determined to avoid this and cleaned the whole place before we left.
No frills but nice bar, good location and excellent value for money
The room was perfect; impressive fold out bed in the very nicely shaped living room. The breakfast corner was great for eating and reading. Very good kitchen, beatiful view outside the windows. Also, the balcony was lovely. The Chalet d'Anaïte has a fabulous location. It's a 3 minute walk to the Montchavin-Les Coches ski-lift (and you can actually ski right back to the hotel if you know where to go off piste at the right moment.. otherwise, skiing back to 5 minute distance is easy and fun). Lastly, I thought the La Plagne (part of Paradiski) area was amazing with many kinds of routes (I loved the forrest route to Chambery, and all the routes coming down to the Verdons Sud lift) The area is very pricey though: a day pass is about €40. Room for improvement: the (nice and helpful) staff should be able to speak better English (or at least slower French). Personally, I'd have liked the blankets to be heavier than the thin fleece ones they provide. You should bring your own towel, otherwise they can provide a set for €`10.
It was everything perfect. Ours was a small apartment with a sofa bed so little space was left when opening it.But it was defenitely worth the price both for the details with which the apartment was designed and for the location. The door giving to the garden didn't close well so we were a bit worried during the night that someone could easily come in. Remember to take your own towels with you because they are not included in the price. They cost 10 Euro each.
It had just been reovated really well and was beautiful inside. The jacuzzi was great. The bar is really nice.
We booked 1 bedroom apartment for 2 weeks and it was confirmed. Shortly after that hotel contacted us and informed that there was an overbooking and 1 bedroom was only available for 1 week of our stay and offered studio for another week. We were not happy but had to accept it.
excellent value for money, rooms clean and comfortable, good bar, and relax area, staff very helpful and friendly.
design and the plan of the appartment sauna and fitness are ugly inspite of it is the new
Almost ski-in ski-out position, nice refurbished apartment, spa Being charged €100 for cleaning of the apartment for a 4-day stay. A 7-day stay a month earlier in the more upmarket resort of St Anton in a higher standard hotel only cost us €60 for cleaning.
The communal meals offered an opportunity to meet and talk with people from different countries.
Newly redone, on the main road, friendly staff, very good quality breakfast (all organic), quiet settings not far from Bourg St Maurice. No sign on the building, stuck between the mountain and another building, forget about the view from your room. There is no restaurant, maybe a dish is proposed on high season. This is not a hotel, but rather a good quality "gite", the French way.
Very accomodating and helpful owners make you feel really welcome
The building has an unusual layout and has been restored well. We were well looked after and had a very good buffet breakfast. It is located in the village and close to a hotel and cafe. No
Great spot surrounded by mountains. We loved the house, really different from the usual tacky hotel décor you seem to get in the Alps. Massive rooms with an alpine feel, very Country Living. Beautiful views of the mountains and river from our room. I’d read the reviews before booking and was a bit worried, but although there was a building opposite, it didn't block our view at all. The house is higher anyway, so it wasn't really a problem. Excellent service, really friendly and helpful staff and they did a great breakfast – set us up nicely for the next stage of the GR5! We’re thinking about going back again in the winter – they run it as a catered ski chalet as well as a B&B Dinner was delicious. They use organic ingredients and make everything from scratch. However, they only offer table d'hotes at the weekends in the off season and you have to book in advance. It's not very clear from the website.
