Heidel House Resort & Spa

Heidel House Resort Spa is a year-round Wisconsin getaway. Tucked just off the shores of the beautiful Green Lake, this full-service resort offers a place to unwind with all kinds of seasonal activities to try both in summer and winter. Heidel House has been serving guests for over 60 years with its restaurant, natural beauty, and a range of amenities.

Heidel House was first built in 1890 as a private residence. It wasn't until over 50 years later, in 1945, that Heidel House was converted to a resort and welcomed its first guests onto the estate. There are 165 rooms at Heidel House, with three different floor plans to pick from. These include Standard, Lakeview Rooms, and Suites. The Suites are the largest of the floor plans and include oversized tubs with jets, fully stocked kitchens and terraces that lead to either a lake view patio or balcony, depending on where they are located in the building.

Evensong Spa is the crown jewel of Heidel House. This oasis of relaxation offers all kinds of different services to guests. Visitors can come alone or as a couple and enjoy things like a bourbon butter scrub, honey lavender salt body treatment, ultimate detox therapy, seven circuit facial, hibiscus firming treatment, full body massage and water therapy with neroli oil.

There are four different dining options at Heidel House, the largest of which is Grey Rock. Grey Rock is an upscale restaurant set to transport diners back to 1949 when Heidel House first started welcoming in guests. While there is a regular menu, most guests opt for the Chef's tasting menu. This is a prix fixe menu that allows guests to choose from dishes like herb marinated shrimp, caramelized onion soup, spinach pomegranate salad, pan-seared cod, and oyster mushroom risotto. The menu also includes info on recommended beer and wine to pair with each item.
