This is a very nice, stylish and comfortable European style hotel in a very nice town--definitely not a cookie cutter operation. They have a nice European style breakfast if you are so inclined, with a nice patio if you want to take it outside. The common areas are very comfortable and stylish, and the music that they pipe in is perfect for the atmosphere. As many others have said, it is a great place for the solo traveler, and it is an easy walk to the railroad station and Shelter Island Ferry. If you are going to be arriving late, it is important to communicate with the hotel.
Great location, really comfy beds, friendly and helpful staff, just overall a good hotel and would recommend to others
We stayed in the garden room with its own entrance, the room was very spacious and comfortable for the 4 of us. The seating area outside is very charming and looks great on pictures. The property owners were very accommodating, would definitely stay there again .
The continental breakfast had minimal variety: yogurt, cereal, fruit and toast with salami and cheese. Wish there were egg products-maybe hardboiled eggs. It was not a problem as there were cool breakfast spots near by.
The The place itself was unique the backyard was adorable very relaxing, many areas to relax and play games watch a movie.
Thin walls, we were both woken up by a very loud conversation from another room, very heavy footsteps.
