I received call and text the day before to confirm my 10am pick up time. When I arrived at that time no one from Hertz was there. Person arrived 20 min later and then it took 20 more min to get the car. John (Mgr?) from Riverhead office promised 15% off. Haven't seen it yet.Customer service. Ownership of issue.

The whole thing sucked!The rental dealership gave away all the cars before I got there, and never had the courtesy to call me to let me know -- all because I didn't show up at an arbitrary pickup time. I will never -- underscore NEVER -- deal with Hertz again!

Pickup and dropoff was disorganized, they overcharged me, and the car was dirty and barely had 1/4 tank of gas.

I was able to make a reservation through kayak for Sunday-Sunday at water mill. This despite the water mill location being closed on sundays, unbeknownst to me. I had to pick up my car a day late, drop it off in a different location, and hertz tried to charge me double to rebook my reservation to accommodate the correct times. Totally unacceptable, basically a bait and switch.

Great experience and service and I always have a bad one with renting a car but price was accurate and car was great

ScrewedI was dropped off and had to pay $22 for a taxi out of there because the site neglected to mention prepay visa was not allowed. I have rented with that card in the past. The agent sucked,he could have given me a ride.
