location, 24 hour reception price of breakfast, no fridge, only 3 chanels on tv
The staff were very pleasant. The bath taps did not work , so you could not bath . The shower was either cold or dangerously hot so that was unusable. The hotel was worn and faded and seemed to lack investment.
It is in a good location for the town centre. For an older hotel it was clean and the bed was comfortable. It had tea making facilities which is always useful the lift is tiny and slow. the breakfast was expensive and the TV's in the two rooms I booked did not work. The facilites are a little dated and if don't like town centre locations then this is not for you
this was not a social stay, i was working in Grimsby. The evening meal menue was very varied and of a high standard
Easy check-in, friendly helpful staff. Room and en-suite were very clean with all facilities, eg tea/coffee, hair dryer, television. Restaurant prices were rather expensive, especially breakfast. The hotel is centrally situated so there are many other places to eat at which are considerably cheaper, eg Weatherspoons.
Convenient. Clean. Electrical facilities ready for replacement (kettle and TV) however these were not the reason we chose the hotel so it was not a huge inconvenience
I booke through you a room for a smoker only to find out the room was non smoking no email from you saying this before our visit, the shower and heated bath rail did not work and the water wasnt that hot for a bath. Three times i have used this Hotel but i will not be useing in the future i can get cheaper elsewher in fact could have saved £60.00 at another local Hotel.
that it was clean
Excellent location very close to railway station, shops. The ideal location for my trip, could ask for better. If I needed to stay over night in Grimsby again I would use hotel again for the same reasons. The lifts and room ideal for me but was a little small if I had brought my disabled partner in her wheelchair. Not shore if hotel had a disabled friendly room but will inquire next time before booking if needed to. The carpet on the lift walls was a little loud, rather had seen plan walls, would of made the lifts look bigger.
The stay was fine but the rooms need to be updated to include freeview boxes. The days of standard 4 terestrial channels is long gone and for the sake of £30 spent on each room it would improve the stay no end
The newly refurbished rooms are very comfortable and elegant. The restaurant has a good varied menu, is reasonably (but not cheap) priced with friendly attentive helpful staff. Still waiting for the reception area to be refurbished.
The vast improvement in the last 9 months of interior and attitude, need to sort Carpets and lifts asap Advised Reception of following observations:- If putting tea&Coffee in Bedrooms ensure restocked daily; Cleaner should not be cleaning Brasserie area when Breakfast being served.
hard to find , hotel staff didn't know area so couldn't help. Shower in room did not work.
The entire staff theparking the breakfeasts
My room had everything that I needed and was spacious and warm. The bar was a comfortable area to sit in and have a snack The lift was a bit bumpy!
Attended a family wedding heating was poor, lifts a bit rough ride, but I dont like lift even when smooth
it was the best of the three hotels we stayed at
decor a bit tired. Bath dirty under taps.repairs badly patched
Friendly staff. Free wifi. Best part was seeing the results of the refurbishment Trying to find a member of staff after 11pm
staff were very friendly. lack of wireless in rooms.
beautiful hotel the rooms are very comfortable with excellant furnishngs. the hotel staff and restaurant staff were friendly. the evening meal and breakfast were of a high standard. I would recommend this hotel.
the rooms are clean fresh modern and peaceful. the staff were courteous and professional . A good standard for the price what currently lets the standard down is the dining facilities . Mediocre food (pub grub) and the dining room lacks any atmosphere. It looks to me that they have done an excellent job with re furbing the hotel and ?? have ran out of money for the restaurant. I normally stay at the Brackenborough arms .; where the food is excellent . However I would say the accomadation at hall farm is superior .
The style of the room and especially the bathroom. Also thee quality/value of the food and espescially breakfast Just the sloping roof made it a little awkward when moving about the room
Comfortable, well planned room. Delightful setting. Warm welcome.
Nice evening meal, excellent room with good facilities in the room and nice added touches including free good wifi. At breakfast no one turned up to provide service - no coffee, hot meal - only some cold croissant and cereals.
Very relaxing and comfortable stay with large well equipted rooms
Really friendly welcome. Quality of room fittings better that some 4 and 5 star hotels I have stayed in. Checkout very brusque, didn't even ask if everything had been ok, though I did give this information myself as it was so good! Np proper desk to work at - small French dresser with no light anywhere near is no good for business users, even though it looks nice.
The rooms are excellent, all recently refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms all have their own 'theme' and are comfortable as well as stylish. The restaurant is good value for money.
The accommodation is 1st class, food excellent, very good free internet connection, location nice and quiet.
Luxurious rooms and bathrooms, everything top quality None really but would have been helpful to have a couple of points explained - how the plug worked and how the amplifier worked
Quiet and food reasonable Only bar snacks available sunday evening and not able to order through room service. I then had to order sandwich in restaurant and sit on my own eating it. Stains on bed cover and no remote for tv.
Very comfortable, clean and tidy. I also like the fact that it was situated back off the main road which provided peace and quiet accommodation The main drive way up to the house could do with being repaired. The potholes need filled in.
The food was good and the staff pleasant and efficient I did not like the way we were charged £3.95p for using a credit card. This does not happen in many (if any) that i have used in the past
The lounge bar area is comfortable and welcoming. The food was very good and the staff helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the facilites goood. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable the room was large enough for a king size bed which would have been welcome. The toilet roll holder is in a very awkward place and needs to be put higher on the wall so you can sit on the loo without it getting in the way!
The outstanding friendliness of the staff was superb. everything was done with a smile not in the expectation of a tip
Staff were helpful and very pleasant.I was staying on business so the hotel was used only for sleeping and eating. Very nice food and surroundings.
por driveway. hard to pull into and single track.
the staff were very friendly and helpful
A lovely, very friendly hotel with great staff and excellant food. I felt very welcome here.
How lovely and inviting the hotel was
Warm welcome, clean room, attentive staff at reception and breakfast.
Friendly greeting and made to feel comfortable straight away room very clean food excelant
ouside terrace/walled garden area for drinks. Nice area in a small hotel.
Clearly a family run hotel with the customer looked after by all
The food was superb. staff excellent. Hotel hadn't booked me in a quiet room as asked for on the booking form but they changed it on arrival Hotel is fairly old and sound insulation a bit lacking - I could hear them preparing breakfast in the room below
Food No Sky tv
extremely helpful staff good location
Quiet and relaxing place to stay. Pleasant conservatory area for breakfast. Heating wasn't on in the bedroom.
Great staff, fantastic room and great food Next to power station which initially is off putting but you don't notice it while you are staying there.
Value for money Nothing
The staff were really friendly, the food was great at breakfast and the rooms were very comfortable. We only had one towel in our room. Our room was adjacent to the courtyard where a wedding reception was going on late into the night. It was very noisy and hard to sleep. We were woken up at 7am by loud music playing in the courtyard.
very friendly staff and the meals were excellent 10 out of ten
Excellent facilities, close to my work premises, extremely good food etc
comfortable, quiet, good food, friendly and helpful staff
Rooms were nice and clean, staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. Finding it was not easy.
Comfortable room, friendly staff, good food, felt safe
Excellent value & service Restaurant service a little slow
Absolutely spotless rooms, large bath and shower. Great food and friendly staff
First Class, especially the food No complaints with the hotel whatsoever, the only complaint that I had was that Booking.com had failed to book my room and the hotel knew nothing, just lucky that they had a room available
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Large comfortable rooms, good food, good real ale, pleasant setting, ideal for Market Rasen racecourse.
Reception staff were efficient and helpfull.
I am coeliac and the waitress at dinner and chef were very accomodating. Also the waitress at breakfast. I did appreciate this. My room was quite a distance from the reception. I had problems with the keycard so it was a long trek!! I also found the WIfi/Broadband instruction sheet confusing and so did not get access. I phone reception a couple of times for help but there was no answer
Nice refurbished old typical hotel, near airport
Huge room, decent food Could not stop the radiator from making noises all night!
Very well presented and good friendly help from staff. None.
The staff and facilities were excellent!! Would definitely reccomend this hotel to anyone! Fantastic value for money!
Choice of breakfast was good Not enough breakfast.1 sausage and 1 egg should have been 2 of each, had to askfor more coffee, and no extra toast was offered.it doesnt cost much to put a bit extra on considering we paid £30.00 each for bed and breakfast.plus the shower was too small.plus when I googled it I asked for licenced b+b but there was no bar so not happy.
Everything about the guest house was lovely the photos on the internet do not do the rooms justice they are of a much higher quality than portrayed. Ann and Maurice are a lovely couple who welcome you warmly when you arrive. thanks for a lovely stay. will book again if in the area.
The Hotel was spotlesly clean, The owners were very friendly and helpful,The room was comfortable with a great seaview Breakfast was well cooked plentiful and very well presented.
Seaview position, close to all amenities None
The total package was excellent and value for money
Great welcome. Fantastic breakfasts. Superb cleanliness. None
location food and staff.
the room was newly refurbished.the room was spacious and had plenty of hanging space,it was quiet and very comfortable.
Lovely room very clean ,very friendly family made us feel very much at home plus cooked a lovely breakfast ,made our stay there very nice would go again . None
the room we booked was gorgeous, really tidy and clean, tea and coffee available, staff were really friendly and helpful, hotel is a stones throw away from cleethorpes train station and from the beach, so was perfect for mine and my friends stay
Well specified room, friendly flexible service, good breakfast, comfortable bed.
Very welcoming staff, very trusting for b and b. Room had good decor and facilities expected of a hotel. Great value for money.
Absolutely beautiful, friendly staff and amazing breakfast.
Clean rooms, well decorated and furnished.
The rooms were clean & comfortable. I loved the decor.
quiet, comfortable with option of relaxing treatments i.e hot stone therapy, reflexology (although did'nt have time to try these). Nice breakfast.
Perfect stay, friendly service, clean rooms with attention to details. In addition a perfect service at the breakfast. I would prefer this hotel anyway if I would travel to Cleethorpes or Grimsby again. Many thanks. There was nothing which I had to complain
There was a very friendly welcome. Excellent standard of accommodation at the price and a big breakfast to send me on my way.
very trusting and helpful.....
Very friendly and comfortable
I felt at home and was made very welcome, nothing was to much trouble for the family owned business, When I went out for the day I would come back to a made bed and had a good supply of coffee and tea.[the hot chocolate was my favourite],the breakfast was very good, and when I needed help and advice getting around in a town I didnt know, they went out of their way to help me find my way around.I would stay again."thank you Tudor Terrace Guest House".
friendly staff good breakfast comfortable stay
Friendly and helpful staff, good food and facilities
The owners were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. We felt at home instantly on arrival and tghis feeling lasted throughout our stay. My room at the front had a window seat and view of the sea and this geat house is just yards from the Prom. No bad points, only good ones.
The breakfast is excellent but the service is not as efficient as it used to be. I don't feel the extra charge is justified as against other B&Bs in the area at which we have also stayed.
Friendly and easy going No
Very friendly staff made it feel like a family home rather than a guest house For a cheap and short stay I have no complaints
The hoast was very freindly & helpful, also very nowledgeable on the local area. The food was localy sourced & very tasty. The location was perfectly for our walking of the Way of The Vikings for that particular leg.
It was fairly close to the centre of town, right on the seafront and very helpful staff.
The rooms were very comfortable, relaxing and well provided for. The staff couldn';t be more helful, The location was wonderful. It made for a very pleasant weekend.
Shortage of smoking rooms
Pleasant old fashioned hotel right on the sea front. I could only marginally recommend it No internet connection of any kind available. The bed was so old the mattress had lumps and bumps and resulted in an uncomfortable night
Lovely old fashioned Hotel with excellent standards of staff , food and accomodation. Broke window handle, repaired within an hour. Staff all friendly and helpful, None.
Thoughtful excellent service all the time. Superb food. Comfortable lounges, stairs landing and bedroom
The central location added to the willingness of the staff / management to help made this stay memorable.
The old fashioned quality of staff friendliness and caring for the customer.Traditional hotel beliefs and a fantastic cooked English breakfast. Furnishings a bit outdated now and 'tired', but comfortable and clean.
Friendly staff, good food ,close to town Very soon the hotel needs a general update
on suite shower and toilet altho too small decoration and comfort was poor
because of the size and layout having two bed room double and twin.
no bar, and dog smell
very good overall package shower leaked
We only used this hotel as we had limited time to book Over priced for what is effectively a B&B
The Comat was a very well maintained and clean guest house, was a little dated in some decor but was all very clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast had a great choice and was beautifully cooked. We would definately stay here again.
friendly staff excellent food very clean And very helpful I cannot complain about anything as everything was as expected of a 4star And the service was excellent
The bar car parking facilities
Lovely old fashion seaside hotel None worth mentioning
A very warm welcome and pleasantly surprised by the upgrade to our room. The breakfast was superb and plentyfull. Would definately stay again. The only problem we had was the shower, we found it difficult tooperate.
