rooms were fine, though bathtub was not totally clean! no phone in room, not a big deal if your have a cell phone i guess. bar area was crazy noisy at night and at breakfast.
Loved staff and decor. Attached restaurant and coffee shop had excellent food and drinks for reasonable prices. Staff there also very nice. Live music, too. Shower was a little weak/hard to get to right temp. But it was cute/antique looking.
In addition to a nice room, it had a really good restaurant, and the staff were very accommodating!
A diverse mix of guests, made this feel like a destination. I will being staying here often. Beds could use an upgrade, but it isn't a deal breaker.
Great little hotel! Staff was all extremely polite and courteous
Cool, funky decor; large outdoor patio, special events, complimentary massage We should have had a phone in our room to have food delivered to our room, should have had a free continental breakfast option versus the pay for all you can eat on weekends, and room toilet had some issues often.
I loved this hotel. It has the vibe of a bed and breakfast. The building is historic but has been beautifully decorated and remodeled. The staff was very nice and helpful. We took their shuttle to our venue and when we ready to be picked up they were there in minutes to give us a ride back. The room and bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small, but goes in line with the historic feel of the place. I would definitely stay hear again.
It's a neat hotel! Very quaint and inviting. It had a nice pool and outside bar area. I could have stayed out there all night. :) I wasn't a fan of their not being room service. It's not a deal breaker by any means but I would have preferred not to have to go down stairs and place an order, wait for it and then bring it upstairs. Otherwise, no other complaints.
Great location, lovely taproom downstairs with good food, great staff. Very, very spotty internet. Don't know if that was an issue just for our stay or a consistent problem. We weren't working so it wasn't much of an issue for us, but for a business traveler it could be an issue.
The hotel is centrally located and close to many restaurants, parks, and museums.
The Tap Room was excellent and entertaining. The room was rather drab and lacking any real direction. The room was basically only for sleeping.
The exercize facility Complimentary Coffee in am in immediate lobby would be nice
Beachfront location, lots of activities, Loud court yard noise
Didn't like that you got your parking pass from the Time Share people, if I wish to have a time share, i will purchase a time share. I'm on vacation and do not need a sales pitch!
The weather was fantastic. The meeting facilities were nice and the food served at the meetings was good.
Easy to get around
Nothing Price was why too much. Building was why too old .no fan in bath room. T.V. do not work when we got there.air conditionor was old fashion. When it was on to cold. When it turned off to hot very hard to sleep.
Great location with lots of activities on the beach. Family/kid friendly. Great staff. Resort restaurants were convenient and good food. Great value for the price. Free parking and free beach cabana for guests was nice also. Would definitely stay again. Room was small
The location on the beach was great! Staff were not attentive to guests even though occupancy was low.
Ideal for families. So much to do and such a beautiful location. Something for everyone. Food was pricey, but to be expected.
Cleanliness, comfort. Good attention and service. It does not have cable tv. The parking spaces are awfully narrow, that leads to scratches on vehicles.
Was the Best on the whole beach family oriented. The staff was perfect. Fantastic home away from home. Thank you all. There wasn't anything one could have complained about.
The beach was nice and had a lot of beach chairs. Room seemed a little worn out.
I was recently in a wedding at this hotel and decided to stay there as well. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Wedding went off without a hitch and it was a beautiful location.
The beds are super comfy and the staff is great. The view and proximity to the ocean are spectacular. Nice pool area and Bongos restaurant/bar is great. It's a bit outdated and could use a facelift. Also had an issue of cleanliness but it was promptly corrected when brought to their attention.
I love the restaurant that they have on the roof top. I also love the views. N/A
Location of the hotel is good. Bongo bar food & drinks are good. Spinners restaurant/revolving restaurant food was excellent. Excellent view from the revolving restaurant. Got to see the fire works all around. Friendly staff. Bed was comfortable We got a partial ocean/beach view which had a big repair crane obstructing the view. Rooms are old even though the staff keeps on saying they have updated...it's not! Bathrooms need an update. Shower tap was reversed with hot & cold water. Price paid for the hotel room was not worth it.
Location location location! Great food and exceptional beach bar / restaurant. Old hotel. Needs more updates
We loved the rooms ! Everything was new and updated, including the floorin . All the rooms had balconies and the all white bed sets make you feel like you're royalty. The pool is somewhat small. But I like that it's open and not really enclosed. The 6th floor hallway smelled a little musky but the room was perfect !
Friendly staff, right on the beach, many eating options and beach is beautiful.
Room was nice. Bar under window open till 300am .loud music. 600am maintenence people start loud machinery. Crazy. No sleep.
People at the desk, restaurants, and bars were all very nice. Upon checkin we received a room on the second floor with a poor view and the staff was nice enough to move us to a room on the 9th floor that had a much nicer view. The hotel is located right on the beach and has many options for food and drink. We stayed for four days and came down for a wedding. The beach wedding was very nice and the reception in the ballroom on the 10th floor was a blast. We had a really nice stay at the hotel. This hotel although perfectly located could use some upgrading. Many of the rooms have two beds. A king and a double bed. Nice for families but a bit odd for a couple. Would have rather had a couch or larger desk, etc... The coffee service in the room is pretty lousy. Lousy coffee and then those little packs of one sugar, one artificial sugar, one creamer, a napkin and a stir stick. Drives me nuts. So I went out and bought coffee, filters, and sugar. The pool is sort of small but works. Parking is very crowded. This place does tons of weddings, so maybe that is why.
Amazing location. Loved the private balcony. Beds were great. Bathrooms are very small and could be just a bit cleaner.
Spinning restaurant, beach front location ! The hallways were not cleaned. They were dirty. The decor of the hotel is outdated.
The best price for beach front. Room was dirty, stain on sheets, hair on bathroom floor and in shower. Breakfast food not the good for the price but iHop is across the street.
We loved our stay! Wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely recommend. Tub didn't drain well. But everything else was excellent!!
Not quite enough parking.
The beach and pool The staff were very rude, then my spouse had to park outside
Rooms were clean, hotel lobby, bar, and pool area always clean. Hotel staff were always friendly, courteous and helpful. Ice machine on our floor was broken for the length of our stay
Beach location and quality are super!!!! Beach
Friendly staff, clean, great view on the beach, amazing sunsets, good food and beach bar. Convenient to other beachfront restaurants/bars also. We always look forward to coming here! The barstools at Flippers are pretty wobbly and uncomfortable and we'd be more prone to hang out longer if there were live music more often...but the view is unbeatable and Amanda makes great Miami Vices and Bloody Marys!
The view was absolutely amazing! You really are ON the beach and the pool/restaurant/bar/live music/ rooms were all 10 out of 10's! Not to mention the water sports kiosk right out back where water activities are is your fingertips! We will continue to come back to this resort time and time again... it's hard to beat how beatuiful, relaxing and amazing one place can be. Not to mention on-shore you're conveniently located near even more restaurants, grocery stores and attractions. Best Spot in Florida I've ever stayed. The only negative is that our check in was scheduled for 11:00am - and when we arrived to check in they told us they wouldn't be checking anyone in until 1:00pm.. Although it was a bit disappointing, the staff was gracious enough to let us park, help us put our bags in the back - and encouraged us to hit the beach/pool/ and bar right outside until we could check into our room! What's not to love about that?!?
The staff were amazing. That's the only positive. Overall, the amount of money I spent for a 2 night stay had me feeling ripped off. The place is tired & dated. Not worth it.
It seemed like a lovely place; nice room, nice pool, beautiful beach view. We were near a roomful of partying college or high school kids; we ended up flushing the $200 we paid for our room and moving to another hotel so we could sleep.
Awesome location and everything you need if you are looking for affordable accommodation The wifi didn't really work so well.
Beachfront The staff was rude and not accommodating, I had booked two night but had 2 reservations (1 night stay per reservation) instead of combining the two reservations I had to check out and then check back in. The shower was awful, almost no water pressure and the valves didn't close all the way so a steady stream would leak throughout the day. Half of the power outlets worked, which is frustrating when you are trying to get ready in the bathroom and can't blow dry your hair. The only nice thing about this place was the beach access, but it's right next to the public beach access and I'd rather stay elsewhere and walk to the public beach than stay here again.
Being right on the beach was awesome! I had three grandchildren all under the age of 11 and I didn't want to have to cross the street to get to the beach. The room was comfortable and the kids loved it. They closed the pool at 10 in the morning and the kids had to get out which disappointed them greatly. They were cleaning the pool which I thought was an odd time to do that.
Great value. Beautiful sunset. Too far from downtown
I was local and my AC went out so I stayed at this hotel. Very nice and comfortable. A little expensive for a Tuesday!
Luxurious and relaxing
beach attendants very helpful and accommodating, especially Earnie Extra charges in the last few years such as parking and newspapers placed at doors in the morning.
Directly on a beautiful beach. Easy to find. Everything you need is in the resort.
Great staff- helpful, cheerful, funny, kind. way to soft beds and pillows- food prices are very high for what you pay for high priced room, and would have been nice receiving free coffee when ordering meals.
Easy access to beach Broken lamp Dead battery in TV remote
Near beach. Very Noisy. Dirty carpet.
I liked that it seemed like the center of activity on the beach. Jimmy B's was right there on the beach, grab a dri K listen to the ocean or the band. The courtyard was nice to have chairs outside your room to sit and relax. Parking was tight and often almost full.
Perfect place for a getaway. On the beach. Live music at Jimmie B's. Heated pools. Great wait staff.
It is so close to the beach and we'll placed on the string of resorts.Jmost everything is wishing walk it distance and theres a 7 11 right across the street. I had little bugs in my room the whole stay. Not bed bugs but small insects and I was on the top floor. Also everything in my room just felt dirty. The floor was dirty, the corners of the room had visible dust and the Bathroom fixtures were dirty. Lime and calciumcaked on butt the sink faucet and the shower head. Shower water pressure was bad and any time a toilet was flushed in the hotel it was scaulding hot! Mattresses were pretty bad too.
Right on the beach, close to everything, friendly staff A little dated, but all of the hotels nearby on St. Pete Beach seemed to be this way. Lots of kids playing all the time in the courtyard, lots of adults down at Jimmy B's Bar & Grill.
Location Too noisy at night. Rooms old and outdated.
The room and staff were wonderful. Gary the entertainer at Jimmy Bs was awesome. The food was wonderful. The grounds were beautiful. Richard at the front desk was more than hospitable. Everything was just perfect
Awesome staff, great bar, and the location is the best on the beach for entertainment and people Kind of trashy
Very large room with kitchen and large closet Bugs, no view, loud beach bar, aggressive parking attendant, mediocre front desk, commercial type toilet, old shower fixtures, overall uncleanliness
I love everything about Beachcomber!!
We came with a few other families with their grown children. Love the pools with food and drink service and the entertainment is fantastic at Jimmy B's! Check in was after 4pm but they gave us certificateso to use at Jimmy B's which made it well worth the inconvenience.
We found our stay to be very relaxing, clean. Staff was great as well as amenities! All kinds of activities onsite. Plus.. It's on the beach and close to local attractions and thanks to their 'in-room' book, we went deepsea fishing and dolphin watching. Loved the decor and atmosphere! PCI needs more ice machines, that's it!
Loved the lobby full of games , books and yummy coffee
I stayed by the pool right on the beach I had to pay$60 extra to have a decent room
Very nice place to stay , probably avoid holiday weekends , if you are traveling with families , staff very friendly , always security staff present , outside pool area seemed to be very clean and maintained. Staircase and walls are In need of fresh coat of paint , a little grungy .. Floors in the room never cleaned , sand beneath our feet.. Housekeeping needs to be addressed , location very nice . The rooms seemed a bit warm , Ac is centrally controlled , had to be moved to another room, definitely adjusted the Ac at night as it seemed to be very uncomfortable for sleeping .. Prob hotel watching costs , instead of guest satisfaction .. Keep your eye on additional fees and taxes when booking rooms ..
Amazing location, cool bar, laid back environment
Affordable, location on the beach, and staff were all great.
Postcard Inn was what we were looking for in a quick getaway over the holidays. We had a king size garden view room. We were on the top 2nd level, no elevator. The main hotel entry was nicely decorated, lots of hangout places, a big table with games (my daughter loved the 3D tic TAC toe). There was also a photo booth. The Boathouse was a restaurant attached to the lobby...no room service. The garden had lots of lounging places too. There was an outdoor pool table and ping pong. At night the garden was lit with lanterns, and there was a fire pit. There is a snack shack next to the beach bar which is on St. Pete's beach. The pool supposed was heated and looked awesome, but was closed. The pool was a major reason for choosing this hotel. I wanted a heated pool as we were traveling in December. When I confirmed over the phone before booking the pool was heated; the receptionist said the pool would be closed for the first dayof our stay...however, we could use the pool at the next door hotel. The PostCard Inn pool was being filled when we arrived, so I looked forward to hanging out there and happily used the heated pool next door at "BeachComber". Unfortunately, during our entire stay of 4 days, the pool never opened. This was extremely dissapointing. On the third day heading over to BeachComber's pool, I was hassled by their maids for using their pool, they called their supervisor to confirm that we did not have access to their pool, but let us go swimming there anyway. The low was 40F one night we were there. So in anticipation, I turned up the thermostat to 75F that nice. I am fairly confident the heat wasn't working...because it was very cold. The next night was again cold, and I cranked up the thermostat to its maximum...88F and still was cold. The rooms had high ceilings, were cutely decorated but the bathrooms were tiny. Also, there were wooden blinds that could close, but no curtains to be pulled over...just decorative curtains. There was a TV and padded wooden chair. Between the room/bathroom there was a closet/dressing room...it was very tiny, but had hangers on one side and shelving on the other. The Boathouse restaurant was overpriced and wasn't really very good for dinner. We had a hamburger and shrimp tacos. Breakfast was nice though - biscuits and gravy and an omelette.
Liked the beachy/surfer "feel" of the location. I travelled in January and the weather wasn't great (windy and cold) plus there is some construction going on, mostly in the main lobby I believe. This really didn't impact my trip, as I was there for a friends wedding taking place literally just down the road. For the money and location, great value. I'd love to come back here and enjoy the pool/beach during the summer! Loud people next door and above my room - or perhaps the walls are just a little thin? The room could use some new paint and a few non-essential updates.
Love the decor and amenities. Overall...a great stay.
It was a rip off to have an additional charge of $22.60 per day for no justifiable reason? We received no special service, nor did the resort offer any exceptional amenities? The overall experience was mediocre and I would not recommend it to my friends or family.
location many issues with reservations using booking.com. staff was rude about the extra day we needed. will not return
I was really looking forward to this weekend, in fact I proposed to my girlfriend. My room's AC didn't work the entire stay. Then instead of compensating me they charged me a resort fee. I got charged extra for staying in an uncomfortable room.
The beach The fact I got in my room an hour after they said I could. I had to call to get my room cleaned after 4 days of no room service
Clean rooms, friendly staff, good location on St. Pete Beach Poor service at breakfast restaurant with squirrels under outer table. Worn out facilities.
Sirata has everything you need in one resort. It has a close proximity to the beach more than one pool in more than one jacuzzi. it has a clean room nice gym to work out in including free weights in the SIRATA also has A good laundry room. I recommend this ace to friends and I plan on returning in the future.
Love all staff, very nice
love the location and the pools are great. Harry's is delish. Some of the wait staff were not that great. The male waiter at Harry's took forever and would rarely check on you.
my room was very nice
The resort was very nice and was "on the beach"! Staff was very informative and helpful. Bernard helped us to our room and was very pleasant and gave us the information about the pools and the several restaurants on sight. The beds were not very comfortable. There were alot of children and if you are looking for an adult resort; this is not your place. Parking was sometimes difficult to find.
Very friendly staff, great location on the beach, good food and food reasonably priced, full-sized fridge Bedroom faces outdoor corridor so it is loud (doors closing, guests walking by), room was somewhat outdated
Beach location. Music at two different Bar/Restaurants. Breakfast at the Rum Runners Bar Area was good and right where the beach begins with a nice view of the gulf. Housekeeping did a good job making sure we didn't run out of amenities, coffee or towels. A little outdated but very clean. Ran out of toilet paper once since there wasn't an extra replaced under the sink that we used but there were tissues (housekeeping didn't notice right away.) There was a dehumidifier in the room that we had to empty ourselves 3 times since it would stop working once it was full. We thought housekeeping would take care of it but when they didn't, we did it ourselves rather than calling for someone to come each time. We had an evening flight and asked for an extended checkout. We were told that our room type was completely booked. They told us we could only have till noon when we wanted till 2 or 3 pm. We were there for 8 days and since check in wasn't until 4 pm we didn't think it was too much to ask. Then we found out we could pay extra to stay a few hours more which we did. Just felt that we were there for a long enough stay that it should have been a courtesy. Forgot to mention the night we came back to the room during a tropical storm we couldn't get into our room because the latch somehow latched when housekeeping closed the door leaving us in pouring rain and 50 mile an hour winds trying to get in at 8:30 at night. . We had to wait in a stairwell since the doors are open to the outside to try to call the front desk since the weather was too bad and it was too far for us to walk to the front desk. The phone number on the room key is for reservations. It took 3 calls and 1/2 hour to connect to an operator for the hotel. Lucky for us security came by in the stairwell at that point and went to get a special tool to open our room. I recommend keeping the front desk direct phone number on your phone for emergencies.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The front desk staff was very welcoming and the bar and restaurant was a great place to relax, have a drink, eat and meet locals. My wife and I had a great stay.
There were a variety of activities; shuffle board, ping pong, bags, basketball and tennis. The rooms do not even remotely resemble the pictures, they are beyond dated to the point of grungy. There is a small stove with a frying pan and a pot but nothing to bake with. The rooms smell bad and there is really no control over the temperature of your room.
Staff was friendly, great location, clean rooms, great value
We have stayed at the Alden for the last 3 to 4 yeras and find it a good place to hang out and enjoy the breach. The staff is very responsive to any request you made to them. Good job by all.
The resort is great, right on the beach. The staff is nice, overall a great stay at Alden.
The hotel was great for the price! Friendly staff, clean, close to beach and restaurants, plenty of parking, 2 pools, 1 hot tub, elevators, tennis courts, shuffle board, etc. Hotel provided a crib for our 8 month old but we ended up bringing our own pack and play. Able to rent out cabanas on beach daily for $25, which provided a nice shaded area for the baby. The hotel was clean but it was kind of dated. Smoking was allowed by the pool areas. The bar on the beach closed super early on the weekend.
The location is great! Walking distance is most anything! Price I think was appropiate and it was nice! Would go there again!! Rooms could be bigger, but other than that I can't think of anything!!
The kitchenette, complimentary coffee and daily newspaper were appreciated. Not as dog friendly as advertised.
Can't beat the location for beach time. The staff is friendly. The grounds are well tended. The facilities are definitely dated; the property could use some sprucing up.
The staff at Alden Suites made you feel like you were staying in a 5-star hotel. They were so kind, helpful and very accommodating. I did not like that there was not a work-out facility on the premise.
Loved the location and beachfront access. Close to a lot of great restaurants and bars. The staff was awesome and very friendly. We forgot a shirt and bottle of cologne at checkout. They called about an hour later to tell us that we left some things behind. That was very unexpected and very much welcomed. Great family hotel with lots to do with the kids. There was sand all over the room like the floors hadn't been vacuumed from the previous visitors. It was definitely irritating that house keeping left an envelope for tips. We couldn't take our shoes off. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Bathrooms were dated. Parking was very tight also. If you were driving after dinner time, good luck parking.
several pools. toys/floaties provided. very kids friendly. beautiful beach to walk lots of shells to find. lots of room in the suites, great value for your money.
Great location on the beach with friendly and helpful staff. Also has nice, big rooms that are great for kids. The last day we were there it appeared as though someone forgot to empty the pool trash cans. However, otherwise and at other times (we have stayed there many times) the Alden is always very clean.
Excellent staff and good service
I think the hotel very expensive considering when we got there it was more like a motel. We were expecting something a little more luxurious
Excelllent on-site bistro Garage
The hotel had a variety of activities and restaurants to enjoy. The beds were very uncomfortable and the amenity charges were outrageous. They also allowed some of their guests to get drink and get drunk at the childrens pools.
We appreciated the upgrade to a suite at no additional cost. The big blue slide at the Island Grand was ridiculously expensive and should've been included in the $25 resort fee. The adult pool area was too noisy at night (we stayed in a suite, room 3805.) We needed a repair on the door room handle, and it wasn't repaired until we had to call a second time.
The atmosphere begs to be enjoyed. You will not find. More relaxing environment.
Great location right on the beach. Good restaurants and bars nearby.
The location and view of the beach was incredible. The entire facility seemed outdated, run-down and in need of renovations. Probably would not stay here again.
I loved being on the beach with all actives and atmosphere. Nothing
The location, value, room comfort and the staff and the comedy club with it.
I loved the location. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Rooms weren't ready 5 minutes before check in. Older hotel with rooms to match. Small outdated bathrooms.
The staff was beyond welcoming and so kind, and the location couldn't be more perfect. The room was small but it was the perfect size for what we needed! Loved it! The bed was a little stiff, but definitely nothing worth complaining about. Nothing but good things to say about the Ponce De Leon!
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room is small but nice. The bathroom was also small but good, except the sink has separate spigots for hot and cold.
Going in with low expectations is the key to a satifying stay at the Ponce de Leon. More unimproved that the term "Botique" would suggest, this is the destination for the seasoned traveller who has endured rough edges and no amenities for a great location. The desk staff was superb but the housekeeping is the worst with no coffee supply or toiletries restock after check-in and no sheet change in four nights. All in all, it's a great way to be in the best part of downtown, save a few bucks and relive old mempries of the seedier side of that trip to China.
This place is a complete joke and a scam. I booked a luxury room with a queen bed and bath. I drove 2 hours from fort Myers and when I arrived there to check in they told me that I was being moved to their "Sister Property" . When we walked up to the "sister property" that was about 5 blocks away it was a house not even a hotel. The room that the lady escorted us to had holes and nails hanging out Where pictures were at some point, the bed was a pull out, A microwave sitting on top of a desk, and she gave me a key to the PUBLIC BATHROOM! And the Ponce De Leon was going to try and charge me the same price that I had originally booked for. I demanded my money back and left instantly.
Well maintained & tastefully decorated. Staff is personable, helpful & professional. Lovely view of the bay from the 6th floor & great location in general.
The location, feel, and decor of the hotel is wonderful, and I love the different options of restaurants. The staff, while friendly, seemed more apt to give excuses rather than solve problems, the hours of operation advertised contradicted the actual hours of each resturant, and although the website claims parking is available, the hotel does not actually have their own parking.
Nice size room for a boutique hotel, in a fantastic location on every growing St Pete dt. Farmers market on Saturday is across the street. Outdated bathrooms, and as mentioned the beds were a little uncomfortable. Hallways were a little shabby.
This hotel is in a great location for anyone that is wanting to go to a Rays game. The parking is confusing and the staff was not very friendly or professional.
After reading some reviews i was thinking i may have made a mistake. However when i got there i was very pleased yes its an older building and not your typical hotel. If you haven't been to Europe you may think this is different. However it is a typical European style hotel. The location is perfect walking distance to all the bars restaurants. I think it was great. Its a hotel to sleep not to have a vacation. i'd describe it as a clean place to crash with a great location. The night front desk blond lady and another lady are were not friendly and i'd say rude. Very different than the morning lady i think she is Thai. She was very nice compared to these night ladies. Restaurant was price for the food they served.
Very clean. The downtown St. Petersburg location. No free parking: From Friday evening to Monday morning you can find free parking spot near parking meters in a few blocks radius around hotel. Hot water is changing temperature from warm to cold.
Location is great for the downtown area, waterfront, restaurants & Bars Bare bones minimum. Feels like you're staying in a random apartment. Bring plenty of booze to get liquored up before you go to bed. Just weird. Random decor.
This was our 2nd stay at this Hampton Inn. Amazing hot breakfast! Clean, comfortable room with plenty of counter space. Friendly staff. The pool and hot tub area has beautiful landscaping. I'd recommend staying at this hotel.
The lobby. when you first walk it is breathtaking and you feel like yeah I'm fine dining and dropping 140 on a night just to relax ...until you get on the elevator and by that evening the regret sets spending that much money on underwhelming temporary digs 140 bucks I would have expected something a little more upscale. Mold smell, thin walls, Bad lighting . I saw a black fly looking very similar to a full grown bed bug, but I can't confirm. it had the feel of a cheap hotel just with better sheets. I paid 35 more for smoking and when I got there they had no idea of my reservation and I got jolted out of 35 bucks . Thanks Kayak . The front desk was pleasant and professional.
The staff was accommodating. Occasional musty smell most likely associated with humid weather.
The staff was very courteous and friendly, and we enjoyed the daily continental breakfast, which had a wide selection, and included fresh fruits, yogurt and orange juice. The pool is adjacent to the hotel at the front facing the car park, which doesn't give guest much privacy
clean, comfortable, good value
Rooms were clean and comfortable Common areas of hotel looked run down
Location was excellent The facilities require a much needed upgrade. It appeared rundown and dirty. We booked this place because of its affiliation with Wyndham and it did not live up to the expectation. It should also be a non-smoking facility. Given the potential of the facilities, I think it should be renovated!
The location was excellent. Beds and room size were nice. The staff in the restaurant and bars were great. The hotel appeared a bit dingy overall, but nothing that I would directly complain about.
The beds were very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make our stay a good one. The atmosphere was very pleasant and very enjoyable. All around a very wonderful place to stay. I didn't have any issues with anything I didn't like.
Staff was very welcoming and this had the feeling of a luxury business hotel. We needed a King with a pull out couch, and after a problem with the first room we were upgraded to a Jr. Suite with a separate bedroom. This made the stay very comfortable--I wish we had stayed here more nights. This hotel is tucked in a business park area with not many cars passing by. There isn't much around this hotel, which might be why it felt so quiet.
When there was no Sweet N Low in the room for coffee and they ran out downstairs; we let the front desk know and due to housekeeping would have been 20 minutes; the girl from the front desk brought it to our room herself within 5 minutes. Requested pool towel replacement for an evening of swimming and it was fairly busy; housekeeping was out there within 5 minutes stocking up. Really good accommodations. This Hilton goes out of their way to make your stay pleasant! P.S. - Publix and a few restaurants were right in the park, which was an added bonus!
The location When it stormed I had to park in a bank parking lot around the corner which made it for a very undesirable walk. When I pulled into the bank parking lot the attendant refused to let me park stating he had no idea what I was talking about. 2nd issue. The first front desk woman that checked us in was amazing. So helpful and nice! You could tell she really enjoys her job. The front desk girl who checked us out was horrible. She checked us out on Sunday August 31st. I asked the lady a couple questions about the area and she couldn't answer anything and appeared to not wanted to be bothered. I understand you have a concierge but he wasn't available. Please educate your guests a little about the area. Like recommendation on a nice restaurant. 3rd issue. The room was huge but I stepped in something that was very slimy. It appeared to be maple syrup which was all over the floor. I have stayed there before and had a better experience
Clean, good location. Can't have a rollaway bed in a room with two double beds. Have to go to front desk for ice!!!
Shuttle service This was not a great hotel for family visits. Also, we had to pay extra for everything - parking was $16 a night , and for the price of a room it would have been nice to have some form of complimentary breakfast. I guess the more you pay, the more you have to pay. They made a big point of letting us know that the ice was complimentary, which made me laugh because where in this country is it not?
There was no hot water the evening we checked in Had to wait until morning to shower
Offered shuttle bus to Tropicana Field to attend baseball game. Helpful staff (especially Edith Odonez) Nothing. Great experience
The staff was great. They even comped our parking because it was my husband's birthday. N/A
Location is good, 8min to Pier. The supermarket and some food store is just besides the hotel, very convenient. The room is old,and the staff sometimes forget to change the towel. The dryer is very very dirty, not like a 5 star hotel.
Restaurant had great food. Very helpful , friendly staff. Room could use a few updates but staff cleaned well.
Liked that there was resteraunt onsite Having a group of athletes there taking up jacuzzi
Shortly after check-in a maintenance man came in unannounced and started working on the toilet while my wife and I were trying to relax; he kept leaving and coming back because his manager kept calling him away. Two hours later, after he finished the job, it took 3 calls to the front desk to have a staff member come clean up the toilet water, rocks, and whatever else managed to end up on our bathroom floor. Even after someone came to clean, the bathroom was still covered in toilet repair gunk. There were wrappers and cups found in drawers from previous visitors, hair left in the "clean" towels we were issued, and stains all over the blankets. Overall it is the worst experience I have ever had, it was worse than sketchy one-star hotels I have stayed at. The staff was very unprofessional, things should be taken care of before the room is issued out; the place left my wife and I constantly feeling gross, the cleaning people were terrible; and I hated every moment I was there .
Location on the water and right off the highway. Facilities are a little run down.
The front desk staff was really great. When we found a roach in our room, they bent over backwards to move us. The pools are also very nice. The view of the water was amazing. The fact that I found a roach in my room and had to be moved was inconvenient. Their "beach" was disgusting and very small. It was definitely misleading advertisement. It was covered in seaweed and overall was just not an enjoyable area. The intersection to turn onto the road the road to get to the hotel is very confusing.
Location good, staff very helpful. Wifi worked well. The room was very damp and smelled like it hadn't been used in awhile. Blow dryer in room did not work and looked as thought it had burned up way before my stay. No extra blow dryers to use. The restaurant was not open for coffee in the early morning before my departure and, although there was a coffeemaker provided in the room, the coffee was really bitter.
We did not come for the resort, but because it was near Eckerd College. Facility seemed a bit dated, but well maintained. Rooms were clean, quiet, staff was friendly, and the amenities seemed extensive, but we were just there for a quick overnight. I would stay here again.
I loved the view it was very nice. The staff was friendly. The smell of the bay was gross it smelled like a septic or rotten eggs. I know that's not the resorts fault but I don't think I could stay there again is was very over powering.
The entire staff was extremely accommodating. The restaurant at the hotel was very good and very nice. We loved the view. More elevators would have been helpful for my handicapped mother in law.
The place needs to be updated.
Great to have marina available for our boat. We were there for 3 days and 2 of the 3 mornings we had no hot water. Rooms could be much cleaner and linens didn't feel clean. Stains present on linens.
Safe and easy to score a room for a last minute booking. Rooms are dark and in the center of a parking lot so they're loud.
