For hundreds of years, Canoe Place has been a destination defined by gatherings and convergence. Home to The Canoe Place Inn, lush grounds, canal landings and a beloved ballroom and event pavilion, the Long Island icon has been a welcoming and dynamic intersection for centuries. Here in the town of Southampton, in the waterfront hamlet of Hampton Bays, this special place is where two picturesque bays meet and where friends, families and cultures have come together for generations. It has been everything from a waterside retreat to a discrete celebrity rendezvous to a racy late-night scene. That history of gathering and connecting, of out East authenticity and character, was the inspiration for the Inns thoughtfully renovated interiors, restored cottages, event spaces and gardenseach of which adds to the garden by the sea sensibility of the canal-side enclave. Anchored in the rich history of East End arts, events, agriculture and fishing, the propertys food and beverage offerings will come to life as a range of distinct experiences that share a common language of seasonal ingredients and local flavors showcasing the regions bounty and culture. Menus will be an ever-changing reflection of the East Ends personality, harvest and catchan inspired tribute to field and sea. Centuries old yet refreshingly new, Canoe Place will reopen in the Summer of 2022 after years of careful restoration and thoughtful, luxurious enhancements.
