Pros: The hotel itself was clean and the staff was very pleasant. Location was great also. Plenty of restaurants in the area as well as fuel and groceries.
Cons: For one. I was not a big fan of the pillows. They were small and uncomfortable. I would suggest bringing your own. Also, the snowmobile trail from the hotel to the state trail was a workout. It was a 5.5 mile hike to the main trail.
Pros: Clean, and there was friendly staff
Pros: Everyone was so friendly! The facility was clean. No noise issues. They even left us a congratulations card for getting married!
Cons: The pillows were pretty flat, and the mattresses were very firm. The room we stayed in smelled funky. Our friends stayed in another room that didn't have that weird smell, so it must not be every room.
Pros: Clean, friendly staff and spacious room.
Cons: Price was a bit high.
Pros: The beds pillows were comfy
Pros: Cleanliness and very quiet.
Cons: I was assessed two days of incidentals, when used no extras.
Pros: The room was clean and the breakfast was nice.
Cons: I got charged more for one night than the other.
Pros: Almost everything. The room was quiet and clean. The cleaning staff was excellent. The amenities were wonderful.
Cons: My room number. I'm SICK of seeing the number 6.
Pros: All the staff were very friendly. They always had a smile and they were very helpful with any questions , it was a wonderful experience.
Pros: How clean it was and the friendly staff
Pros: We could not get over how clean the breakfast area was and how the staff kept it completely stocked throughout the whole breakfast time. We never had to wait or ask for refills. Staff was always friendly. Our room was on the first floor so I can not speak for other areas but the hotel was clean and our room was nice. There is a Walmart off the parking lot and a decent restaurant next door with bowling lanes, skee ball and some video games for extra evening activities at the end of your day.
Cons: We would have liked to have had a freezer in our fridge

Pros: The breakfast and pool were both great!
Pros: Clean, enjoyed onsite restaurant.
Pros: Clean, safe, great staff.
Cons: No complaints.
Pros: Loved the location, great restaurant, staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything went better than expected.
Pros: Nice view
Pros: Substantial breakfast. The location is fantastic.
Cons: A bit pricey, but they all are this time of year. The people above me on the second floor were stomping on the floor.
Pros: The on-site restaurant and bar were convenient. The location was perfect for exploring Hancock & Houghton and the whole Keweenaw.
Pros: Everything was fine except this facility had no elevator
Cons: No elevator
Pros: More of an better class of place. Excellent breakfast. Plenty of charging outlets. Very good TV with large choice of channels. If you are lucky, you can see the lift bridge next to the motel work to let a ship thru.
Cons: A bit difficult to get to. You have to look out for the directional signs, and not your GPS. It had a restaurant and I went there later to satisfy my ice cream craving, which they had none.
Pros: The pool area was really nice and clean
Pros: breakfast was barely tolerable
Pros: Has a restraunt/bar in the hotel. Food in restraunt was very good with excellant service. Has a beautiful view of the river while you are dinning or at the bar side. Pool was warm and we enjoyed the hot tub also. Very quite.

Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary at scheduled times.
Pros: Location and front desk staff.
Cons: Noise from bar/entertainment on top floor. We were right below and it was loud! We were not notified of room location when we checked in. Phone in room not connectable and could not access WiFi. Overall, property definitely needs updating; very nice front desk staff needs to be better informed of potential problems by their management. But you can’t beat location.
Pros: We liked the restaurant being right in the hotel and loved the coffee shop right across the street! Loved the views of the river at the restaurant!
Cons: Bedding and quilt did not fit the bed.
Pros: We had king bed facing the river, the room was huge! The views were awesome! Even though the rooms were very dated they were clean. The restaurant upstairs (The Bonfire Grill) had excellent service, food and views of the river!
Cons: The entire hotel is very dated. Not enough parking for the amount of rooms available. Bed was just okay. Pillows were not comfortable. The sofa in the room was very old I couldn't imagine sleeping on it.
Pros: This was a modern hotel overlooking water. Bed was comfortable and room was well-appointed.
Cons: Have stayed at this hotel for at least 20 tears. It use to be with Holiday Inn, but I suspect Holiday Inn wanted the owners to put more money into upgrades than ownership was willing to do. Now a Magnuson property.
Pros: Convenient, quiet, nice staff, good restaurant.
Cons: Elevator problems, room was very clean but it’s showing signs of wear.
Pros: Proximity to the boat dock and restaurants
Cons: Broken elevator...weather related I’m sure Waitress was not very good in Bonfire restaurant she was and really not helpful with questions on menu, very slow, eating something while taking orders from customers, not wiping tables down so hostess could seat customers. Was not impressed with experience. Food was good !
Pros: Location, parking, staff, breakfast, shower, comfortable bed
Cons: Nothing leaps to mind
Pros: There is a bar with an awesome view and great food on the top floor. Everyone at the hotel is friendly and helpful.
Pros: Location, pool, clean, comfortable rooms

Cons: Pool closes too early
Pros: Location, cleanliness,
Cons: Breakfast was so so.
Cons: Our room smelt like feet. Granted, it was hot and humid outside. We arrived and turned the AC on to cool down the room. After a few hours, we returned and the room just stunk. Some of the white towels had noticeable stains on them, not the best experience
Pros: Very clean and comfortable room.
Cons: No view at all but the accommodation was nice.
Pros: Large room was nice
Cons: There were people that we so loud both nights. They were allowed to be hanging out in the lobby with kids running up and down the halls well past midnight. Also the door to the stairwell next to our room slams so loud it shakes our wall every time and there were people up and down those stairs constantly until 3am both nights. Felt like staff didn’t care that people were being loud and wild.

Pros: Great location
Cons: Aside from the night clerk, who was very pleasant, the rest of the staf was short and rude
Pros: The hotel was right on the water near downtown.
Cons: This was not a welcoming experience. After driving 9 hours I encountered the worst customer servive that Ive ever experienced.
Pros: convenient outlets to charge smartphone, laptop, etc protein available w/ breakfast vs pure carbs: yogurt, eggs, milk, juice waffle machines were nice having 4 cable news channels
Cons: outside 1st floor room entrances would have been nice
Pros: The location is fantastic with the river so close. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. Many choices for breakfast and staff was very helpful, friendly and courteous.
Pros: Location is awesome
Cons: No idea why the hotel puts me in room next to the parking lotwhile there were not so many customers at that time. The reason I choosed this hotel is the location facing the river. Not to put me in a room facing the parking lot. I experienced this a lot w

Pros: This hotel is conveniently located in central Houghton, close to activities and historical sites. The rooms aren't fancy, but certainly fine for a night or two. The hotel apparently had been built with outdoor room entrances, but it had been enclosed for a little extra feeling of security. A nice breakfast was provided, and there is a pool and exercise room too.
Cons: The layout of the hotel is a little awkward, so you have to go to the third floor at the opposite end of the building from the office in order to get breakfast. However, that was a minor inconvenience considering the good location and reasonable room rates (for the area).
Pros: Clean room, comfortable beds and great breakfast.
Cons: Very noisy!! Could hear people walking above and walking in hallways. Woke up several times due to this. Will request specific room if I stay again.
Cons: shower was less than hot
Pros: Overall, our stay was very good. The room and bathroom were very clean. The pool area was in excellent condition, and was exceptionally clean. The location right in the middle of Houghton is hard to beat!
Cons: While I was satisfied with the stay overall, there was a shortage of parking at the hotel, so we had to park in a city ramp nearby. The sleeper sofa was not very comfortable, as some of the support springs were broken. There were a few roof leaks in the hallways, and evidence of slight leaking in our room (though it wasn't dripping during our stay).
Pros: Bed was comfy. Room was clean.
Cons: Lights in hall were on all night. Light blocking curtains did not close. Room was too brightly lit all night.
Pros: we were given a king suite that wasn't indicated at booking. Great breakfast.
Cons: the building layout is a little confusing.
Pros: Great value and within walking distance of Michigan Tech.
Pros: Location is perfect.
Cons: Old and run down. Room is organized badly and uncomfortable for getting ready for a wedding. Hallways are screaming hot.
Cons: Parking is a large problem. Prices are way to high for a small town. Way to gouge people quality!
Cons: Key cards didn't work. Couldn't park at hotel because half the spots were blocked off for mobile homes. Building smelled bad. Hallways were extremely hot.
Pros: Nice bed
Cons: Pool and hot tub weren't open because of construction.
Pros: I liked the quality of the service. Every single employee I came into contact with was unbelievably friendly and helpful.
Cons: Besides being woken up by an intoxicated man knocking on my door at 2 am, my stay was perfect. But after the incident I called the front desk and the employee patrolled the hallway the rest of the night to ensure my rest. Also, the sauna did not work.
