The location, which is really excellent. My husband upgraded my room as a surprise as this is the first trip I had away from my 1 year old baby twins. The staff were supposed to mention it but no one did. He had to tell me himself he upgraded the room to a suite.
Good business hotel with good facilities and location
Location; value for money; fantastic receptionists - very helpful and friendly Inadequate lighting in the room (room 741); and curtains did not shut completely.
Large room, comfortable beds, convenient to train station Bathroom was oddly shaped (uncomfortable toilet)
Kids stay free! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We were given discounted tickets to Acquatopia next door, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Although the hotel is near the train station, it is a quiet hotel. The neighborhood may appear to be at first less than scenic but it is very safe.
Good service by proffesionals, the location, the smile. I should nt mentioned it , but i found a little bag of sugar that was already used in my coffe set.
The location and the size of the room. Opening hours of the pool and sauna were too short
Location, comfort, good service.
Location, Cleanliness, Friendly Staff, Leisure. Restaurant was abit overpriced for what they served.
The location was spot-on The way too loud live piano-music in the lobby/restaurant. Very annoying.
The staff of the hotel was very attentive and ready to help at any moment The temperature in the room was very cold, the central heating didn't work
Location, hotelroom, friendly staff.
were upgraded to superiour room without additional charges room was located on 2nd floor with the back window coming out onto the car park which caused a lot of noise from people getting into their car and slamming doors etc. during the night. Would not recommend the same room to anyone.
best was location breakfastroom too crowded in the morning,
Friendly staff and clean hotel Bathrooms are very clean but somewhat old fashioned
The location: the centre!! The price for the room: good! The price for breakfast was rediculous: too expensive!!! The staff was fairly rude!!!
A very good location for our visit to the Theater Hotel and we will certainly stay with you the next time we are in Antwerp. This time the room was not of the same standard as when we stayed with you on our last visit
General atmosphere and appearance No bar lounge service after midnight
Breakfast choices Room tempertaure control not available
Kindness of hotel staff, enough space in the room
Friendly personnel. The breakfast was very good with alot of choice. I had booked 2 rooms, but when we arrived, only 1 room had been actually been reserved. It took quite a while before a second room could be arranged as the hotel was apparently full. Finally after 20 minutes, a second room was given to us.
Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception, spacious and well-equipped room Outrageous breakfast rates
location ideal for meeting with easy out-of town access and parking not ideal if for leisure stay
Good value for money. Breakfast was very good. Free parking right in front of entrance. Video on demand abusively expensive, location a bit too busy with cars everywhere, public transport to city center not so good
I really liked the lobby and the reception design. The rooms are old style and not suitable with the new lobby
Reservation was for a "king" room - that was not available upon check in we were told - they only had "queen" available Why make a reservation when they cannot provide what is reserved?
confort and design breakfast
Pleasant staff and comfortable room
The location is good. The room is too small.
Public transport to town center is easy Swimming pool & Sauna Promised safe in room unavailable Secure parking is not free as was advertised
The breakfast wat wonderfull the carpet in the rooms en the hall. Not clean
The location was good, staff helpful, breakfast was plentiful. Our room was dirty as were other parts of the hotel, parking unavailable very near hotel. Seemed more like two-three stars rather than four.
It's location in the city center Room was very small, view was bad, climate was terrible, defintely NOT a 4 star hotel
very difficult to check in our out. Only 1 staff person, the line was long and took 20 minutes. I would stay again, but now I know the process
Extremely close and handy for the Railway Station. Very clean, well managed, and very good value. The staff were all well trained and polite. I will stay at this hotel again and can recommend it highly for business travellers.
Our stay was great and the staff were very helpful. Thanks. The reason I have given fair for comfort is that we didn't like the water bed!
No free wifi in the bedrooms
The breakfast was great! The staff at the desk & at the breakfast were efficient & courteous! No way is this hotel 4 stars! The sheets did not fit the bed! The pillows were from the 1980's! The bathroom 1970's!
Central location and nice hotel with nice bar. room had 2 single beds pushed together instead of double and tile missing in celing
breakfast was good but no coffee self service. Close to restaurants etc. Room decoration needs updating. wall paper hanging or scraped in many places. It surely was not what I would class as a superior room. Strange was also that every night had a different room rate, although still amounting to the agreed total for the 3 nights.
Able to utilise my HHonours so free upgrade to Executive Suite and Lounge
Staff were competent, helpful and genuinely friendly.
As always: I like the location and the nice atmosphere of this hotel. It is very clean and the staff is realy nice and helpfull. Great breakfast. So I will look forward to my next stay .
Big rooms, comfortable beds, 2 chairs, big bathroom, good shower, great location just a block or so from the cathedral Staff kept asking for a voucher. I sent them the confirmation email and eventually that satisfied them.
Superb location, so central. The staff member at reception on checking in was really friendly and helpful. Lovely room, very spacious as was the bathroom where the shower cubicle was separate from the bath which I love The price - it is very expensive though you do get what you pay for
privacy, quiet, central location shower broken. Towels had holes in them.
We liked the central location, near shops, restaurants and touristic sights and the size, comfort and cleanliness of the rooms
Beautiful stay at the hotel. Perfect location and the room was nice very nice and comfortable. For sure I will come back again. Breakfast was too expensive, so I didn't try.
They didnt respect your reservation and tell us they dont have rooms even we get confirmation from kayak
A friendly environment in the heart of Antwerp with all comfort.
Very good breakfast. Cleanliness. Good bed Everything OK
The staff very helpful and lovely. Design of rooms. Location opposite the park and city center. Internet connection/Wi-Fi problems. Housekeeping (after the first night was not very good).
Good location. Nice rooms. Street parking possible. Very close to the city center. Everything's perfect...
Fast effective check in, decent rooms, good beds Nothing special, therefor maybe overpriced. Parking definitely overpriced/
Location 5 - 8 min walk from Centraal Stn. Room facilities were excellent, comfy bed and the wired free internet in the rooms fast and excellent. Would recommend if the price is right!
the room was very nice and spacious. Location is great. Room cleaning service could have been more efficient.
Good price-value ratio, good location, nice staff, breakfast really tasty and more than enough...
It's clean and nice, nothing is broken or anything. City centre is only max 10 min walk away. I used national bank parking, 6 min walk and 5 euros a day. The room was big enough, but I had hoped they would be a bit large.
charming staff Airco not sufficient and too noisy (room 701)
The bed was great The reception staff never took the phone when you called them...late at night....but when you finally got a hold of them, they were polite though
Free Internet access in the room; The breakfast with the croissants; The decoration of the room, really modern and confortable; The big park nearby; no restaurant
location, comfort and good dinner if possible should include breakfast
The coffiee possibility, the ensizing mirror at the toilet, good beds. My room was probably next to something that sounded very high, possible a air-condition fan? Luckely I had my earplugs so I could sleep anyway, but if I shouldn't have them I should have asked for another room -and that I feel should be no problem with the service I recived in the check in. I would like to have some more information, eg. regarding how/where to use the wireless and in the elevator some more info about the different levels - eg. here is the bar, breakfast etc.
Cleanliness Paying for wifi
nice rooms, beautiful architecture of the rooms terrible breakfast on a sunday morning, hotel fully booked, poor service
Location, nice building, different environment (judish area), close to the city center. Cleanliness of the room was poor, service didn't arrive even after two warnings, staff in the restaurant was not trained (meal has arrived late and cold).
wifi should be free
Brand new facility, nice furnishment. Too small and hard pillows. Too soft bed.
Very nice hotel, clean and centrally located. The underground parking is a plus. It costs 15EUR but it is quite recommendable if you arrive by car
The room is great value for money When my room was cleaned they often left dirty towels and did not remove used shampoo bottles etc.
The hotel was in a great location. The rooms were well equipped and very nicely decorated. The hotel is nice and quiet and has a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were very pleasant and helpful with our enquiries. Although the sheets on the bed were clean and freshly laundered they were stained. The bed was not a kind rather two single beds pushed together which was a little uncomfortable to sleep. The bed-side table was not very clean and I needed to clean it myself.
The hotel was extremely central. THe breakfast was very good. Rooms spacious and clean. All required facilities present. The hotel staff were extremely helpful
Good value for money, 61 Euros for twin room with nice breakfast buffet. Parking garage below hotel. Excellent location in city centre. Twin rooms were comfortable, but slightly too small as there were two queen size beds.
The hotel is very central, all amenities are close by, the staff are very friendly and helpful
Location Breakfast is too expensive (18 € !)
The rooms and location The staff who was working on sunday was very unfriendly
Location close to City is excelent. More pillows should be provided in rooms for the beds.
We had a brilliant weekend rate. The hotel is a business hotel and our twin room was perfect for our needs. The breakfast was full self-service and plenty full. Leuven is a lovely place and the hotel is very well situated in town. We had a room out to the back which was blissfully quiet. The receptionist on duty was not very welcoming - she seemed to class us by the rate we were paying and the rucksacks on our backs. Or she was just not enjoying her job.
Quiet large room very close to centre
More noise from the corridor than usual
Great Pool, Sauna and Turkish Bath. Staff was also very nice and polite. TV in the room not quiet what we expected but that's just really a small issue. The way to the car park was a bit tricky and also the way up. But besides that, good beds and everything.
The swimming pool and the breakfast. And the location! The beds were a bit outdated and uncomfortable.
employees very helpful shower curtain fear everytime you take a shower
Wonderful location for us as it was easy to get to off train. Helpful staff and very clean large room. We enjoyed our stay.
The city location was perfect, only a few hundred metres from the railway station. Also very convenient for shopping The bar prices in the hotel were ridiculously high.
bar closed 23:hrs saturday night. staff would not provide roomservice
1 i didnt like this hotel
Centeral Location no
Nice big comfortable room and a gym with pool for guest use
Very modern and stylish hotel. Friendly staff. The bed was a little too soft. I prefer a firm mattress.
Proximity to centre and zoo. Parking took a while.
Friendly staff, in the centre of town and nice price.
the postion of the hotel was excellent, breakfast was good and overall good value The room didnt have tea/coffe facilities, there were marks on the bed which was off putting
It is good location every thing was good except advance booking information wass npt available
Location right next to the station. Good price for a single room. A nice size room and bed very comfortable. Friendly staff. Typical Breakfast; cereal, cold meats, cheese and fruit juices. Quite, with double glazed windows. UHT milk for breatfast. Why no fresh milk? Drain smell in bathroom but only briefly. Seams to be a general problem with Antwerp. Mixer tap in bath for shower.Dirty carpet and cracked mirror in the lift.
The location, it was very easy to move around by foot or by metro and there were a lot of restaurants that you could choose. If you are interested in buying diamonds there are a lot of jewerly stores all around. The staff attitude. There are definitely not for " customer service"
room smelt of cigarettes, one of the single beds was missing a leg, so the bed was unbalanced and the toilet was still dirty from last occupants. Breakfast was vey basic with no toaster, cheap horrible tasting fruit juices, not much choice of anything. The only positive thing about the hotel was its location opposite the train station, so handy in that sense.
breakfast was very good bathroom very clean, location great for station but a long walk (15 mins) to the best bits of Antwerp. walls in room needed cleaning, a double room did not come with a double bed the two single beds were pushed together with a double spread over the top, a little deceptive from the pictures. both beds were unsupportive.
The hotel is right across the street from the central train station which is very nice when you arrive by train, however, when the window is open in your room it makes it very noisy. The two large windows were fixed so that they would not open much - only about six inches. It was summer and the thermometer we had read that the room was over 90 degrees F. We asked for a fan but the hotel had none. We did not stay the second nite.
Not much to like at this hotel. I hope to get a bargain, but I ended up hating my decision. Extremly noisy, both inside as well as outside (very close to the train station, which is so noisy...). Room is very small and the carpet is soo dirty. Windows do not open, air stinks! TV is up high, you cannot watch it without breaking your neck. Only thing that was ok was the bathroom: clean and nice shower.
The owners where very helpful and willing to go out of their way for you! The hotel was perfect!
Hullebrug B&B is a very beautiful historic place to stay. The room was very clean and cosy, at morning the lady of the house spoiled us with a delicious breakfast. This B&B is really a must!
The room, the staff Cleanliness of the room. There were cobwebs and spiders. There was a lot of traffic noise.
Peaceful atmosphere, nice countryside, hearty and varied breakfast, very comfortable bed, pleasant hostess - altogether a very nice place to stay.
very nice room, nice hotel, the mannager is really trying to sort everything out. the road, besides the hotel.
Nice, cosy and frendly atmosphere with a touch of homefeeling. Very good breakfast. Better TV and TV signals. Mirror at bath very low, additional mirror for full size use. A place to put the toilet bag will also be a pluss. Else perfect.
Good and clean rooms with detail to make your stay confortable. friendly and helpful staff. Close to a road that can get noisy
Quiet location in the centre of Antwerpen, breakfast is ok, clean hotel. a bit expensive but that might be logical for such a room on such a location.
The room was light and cheerful and the included breakfast was excellent. Good location. Staff spoke perfect English and was always helpful. Nothing that Ican think of.
I appriciated the serviceminded and kind staff. The room was clean, which is very important for me. Good breakfast. No free access to internet.
Big rooms, excellent location Parking was full. We were adviced to go to park along the river, which turned out to be very expensive (38 E for 24 hours). We only found out after picking up the car.
location ambiance and room furnishings
Smiling faces. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. We had an upgraded room as the hotel was not full. Welcome glass of sherry or port
It was very nice to have a private garden. My wife smokes and we had a non smoking room. It was very nice to have a garden where it was allowed to smoke.
The breakfast was very good, the room was big and clean. Yes, For such a expensive hotel wireless should be for free! A pit poor that you have to buy this at reception.
Excellent situation in the heart of the historic centre. Also a very individual hotel totally unlike the usual business chains / brands
The breakfast/restaurant and the comfort level of the bed were the only decent part of the hotel. The rooms are well past their "use by" date - stained carpets, burns on the furniture, stained shower curtains, mold on the shower walls. The rooms are also extremely dark - I stayed in an Executive room and had to move the lamps next to the desk so as to no strain my eyes. There are very few restaurants within walking distance, particularly on Sunday nights when the hotel restaurant is closed - the hotel recommends the same restaurant to everyone but it only holds about 40 people. Also asked at reception (she was unsure where the airport was!) how far the airport was and was told it was 20kms away and would take 28 mins - in truth, it was 9 kms and took 10 mins. Also, note that they don't stock the mini-bar in the room.
Nothing It was surprising that there was no english tv Channel. bbc World / bbc 2 were changed to Music and cnn was not working.
Hotel restaurant, excellent food. Heating didn't work, overly squeaky doors, parking garage too small.
Good facilities, helpful staff Lighting in room was too subdued
We had booked a non-smoking room and when we arrived we found our room actually had a strong smell of smoke. We were then moved to a smaller non-smoking room, which was fine.
Location for the Wezenberg Pool was excellent (across the road!!) which was what we went for. Comfort, cleanliness, large room, air-con worked well, bar, bar staff were lovely, excellent breakfast, price. I would definitely stay here again. I felt the staff on reception were a bit anti-English and I felt like I was an inconvenience to them EXCEPT for a Dutch guy called Mike Osinga. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was very helpful and friendly even finding out which train we needed and from which platform. All hotels need more Mike Osingas!! What a lovely young man!
Outstanding, efficient and friendly service from the hotel staff. Breakfast buffet was very nice.
Excellent value for money at weekends. Although not central the transport links are very good indeed with a tram stop some 100 yards from the hotel.
comfort of the room nobody spoke french in the reception for an hotel with for stars it's very sad
I liked the luxurious atmostphere, bath, location, internet and somewhere safe to leave the car. Price
Good location in central antwerp, but quiet. Good parking nearby. Had stayed at the hotel for some business trips in the past with postive experience. Decided to stay on family weekend, however would not reccomend this hotel for family! Was made to feel quite unwelcome by the staff, the room is far too small for a cot, (we are unable to move) and the terms for costs relating to the hotel providing a cot were not at all clear and the hotel was completely un flexible around this. Also we paid extra for a top floor room. Website gave impression that this was giving some advatange, but there was absolutely none - Do not book this option. Overall dissapointed.
The hotel is need and very modern--clean, comfortable bed. Flowing coffee. Close to the center of Antwerp. No telephone service in room! I did got my receipt when I left early on Sunday, Sept 14 because no one was manning reception early. But I already paid my bill upon check-in.
they could have done more with the rooms. Concrete floors and ceilings are not very appealing to me. Also you should not save money on beds. They could have been better quality so as the sheets; We paid 135 euro a night so you would expect better quality.
The Banks Hotel is well-situated in the city center, particularly for those in town for a fashion industry related trip. Also, there is a coffee/tea machine in the lobby that is self-serve for guests, and a complimentary happy hour + tapas from 16h30-20h30. The hotel lobby closes at 20h30 and from that point forward, guests have to enter through a side door by swiping a badge-- it works fine, but is not the most hospitable move for a hotel of its stature. The rooms have an industrial aesthetic which is appealing, though the lack of color makes it feel a bit 'cold.'
The Location, the free dinks buffet during happy hour. Small room and transparent (glass) wall between toilet and sleeping part of the room.
I really like this hotel and would love to give it a rave review. The rooms are very nice, but sterile. A simple fresh flower would help. The hotel lacks the perfect balance between what it wants to be and what it actually is. They have a night entrance and no evening personnel. I felt a bit uneasy with this. The air conditioning unit started leaking water in the middle of the night. Sadly, it is a very impersonal experience. I feel it is priced a bit too high considering the lack of amenities and services.
The breakfast was nice and the complimentary evening drinks were a nice touch Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. The room felt a bit like staying in a multi storey carpark. There was no ambience
The staff was helpful and eager to please. The room was clean with a good view of the city. The hotel rooms has no television or internet access. It was a little too modern for my tastes. The price of a 'suite' seemed too much considering the room.
The Banks was an excellent little hotel, perfect location, very funky rooms which were even an ok size, nice helpful staff, very nice breakfast included and great value for money. Its new and seems not quite finished yet, but no major construction going on just small things. Very highly recommended, if you want a nice cheap Design Hotel in Antwerp.
Good breakfast helpful staff. Improvement for the room stated above
brand new, very stylish and comfortable
Cozy atomosphere and comfortable bed linen.
The unique design and reuse of a beautiful cathedral.
Excellent personal attention from the staff. Bed was super comfortable (it was my best night of sleep in 10 days on the road). Breakfast was very good and they make eggs to order. Rooms were a bit dark.
the unique design and architecture of the room the hotel had very limited parking. We had to park away from the hotel which was inconvenient and expensive
Rooms in the really old style, comfortable and beautifull. I would recommend this hotel to everybody. In the room there is a coffe machine - you have to pay 3 euros per coffee/tea. In 4 stars hotel....
Clean, tidy, well equipped room. The hotel was quiet at night allowing a good nights sleep in a sumptuous bed.
It is a great hotel in a real church. They kept the original details, but added the comfort of a good hotel. The breakfast was very good with lots of variation. The bed was fine, Bathroom and toilet seperate. Bathrobes and free slippers. Walking distance to the center of town, shops, restaurants and cultural center. The airco was not able to keep the room cool, so on this hot day the room was about 28 degrees, too hot to sleep in. Everything else was just great!
We were treated to an upgrade which was a lovely surprise and much enjoyed Having to pay for tea and coffee, I understand paying for MiniBar drinks but for tea and coffee!
Location of hotel near the historic center of Mechelen, Excellent breakfast.
Nice overall impression. Considerig that the hotel was build in an old Monestary, the rooms very not very well isolated, causing big differnece in temperateure in diffierent parts of the room.
Nice furnishings and friendly people.
Room 106 comfortable though smaller than room we had on last visit. Bathroom possibly in need of upgrading. Bath tap a bit difficult to control and water emptying from bath very slow. Staff very friendly and helpful. See comment on bathroom.
Nice architecture, historical, convenient to city center.Good breakfast.
we found the staff courteous ,friendly and helpful. It was an excellent example of a small friendly and very comfortable hotel. One lack is the absence of a comfort tray ie tea/coffee tray in the room.
Hotel staff, garden Access to the parking
Wonderful services, location, facilities and staff. No. I have stayed there several times and it is always a pleasure to go back.
Breakfast was excellent, staff attentive, homely atmosphere. Would like to have had tea and coffee making facilities in room.
The lovely grounds, freindly staff and the bathrobes
The location near the Centraal Station was very convenient. The staff were excellent. The room was comfortable and well equipped. It had a pleasant modern design. It was great to have air conditioning! The bed was a bit firm for my taste. I would have like to be closer to old town but it was walkable.
Check-in was welcoming and efficient. Room was spacious, modern, and very good value for money.
The location with access to the trains and shopping was very convenient. The staff were very helpful. The cost of breakfast at 15euro each was a bit fierce
the room and the service no where to park the car for handicapped people
Well equipped room, friendly staff, quality breakfast No restaurant in the hotel, no car parking, no bar.
In general, the common areas and the staff were great at the hotel; the shower and the towels were great. We paid one of the top rates and the room was miserably small. We could barely move around the bed. We had to leave the car in an outside garage, 100m meters from the hotel.
cosy room great bathroom and walk in shower.... excellent staff and location decided to forego the 15 Euro breakfast as thought it should have been included in the price, as many other hotels in this range do so.
Location beside train station easy to find. Bums hanging around outside front door. X-rated movie theatre 2 doors away.
close to train station ; breand new hotel ; godd design - good room ;=)
Clean, modern, convienent location to train station
This is a very nice hotel. Everything was ok. Internet available (got a cable at reception). None
Friendly accommodating and attentive staff very high standard of cleanliness attractive room More a suggestion: an option of a blanket for bedding for the the milder weather. Duvee too heating
The friendly atmosphere and excellent presentation
Good food smart rooms
Made to feel welcome, friendly staff who were also very helpful. I will certainly come back should the need arise.
Everything was just perfect
The quiet as well the enviroment. The breakfast looks poor.
Good room, excellent breakfast and friendly staff. A welcome change from business hotel chains. Some traffic noise
Rooms were exactly as expected, very good breakfast, a few more pictures from the surroundings would be realistic.Nice little restaurants in the street Staff should stand erect when customers are at desk and uniform is no luxury.Room should be heated when arriving time is detailed.
roomservice, parking, breakfastbuffet matras of the bed
The hotel serves good breakfast. The rooms are large and clean enough.Though the hotel is situated on the outskirts of Antwerpen it is rather easy to get to the centre of the city. Just a 5-minute walk and 5 minutes by tram and you are near the Central Station. I didn't like the cheating price policy of the hotel and I would never recommend it to anybody. I booked 2 rooms, each of them was 333 euro according to booking.com confirmation. So I was very much surprised on seeing the bill comprising 888 euro. The reception did not even appologise. Just printed a new right bill which was paid. On coming home I realized that they have withdrawn 884 euro from my account on the date of our arrival. The sum of 216 euro disappeared. A friend of mine paid the room cash on arrival. The hotel asked for a 60 euro deposit that should have been given back on departure. It wasn't due to some mistake of the receptionist. These constant money problems practically spoilt the most favourable impressions of the city.
The room was very clean and cosy. The hotel has a very central location.
more than adaquate, look forward to future stays.
Having a nicebed in A'pen Breakfast, to crowdy at one moment
Location was not too far from the city center. Better deal than other 4 star hotels (offered on line) with breakfast The beds were comfortable and firm enough. I am very disappointed!. We were expecting a 4 star hotel but this is barley a 3 star hotel. 1) The smell or cigarette was all over our room and the staff were not very helpful !!! I went to the front desk and complained , the gentleman behind front desk was trying to help and maybe switch the room , but for some reason he is asking the lady (Emma) and she said there is nothing available and her solution was spraying the room to get rid of the smell of smoke!!!! Either they sprayed the room or not even didn't bother!!! since the smell existed until we checked out. We could not keep the door /window open at night since our room was facing the HWY and the noise was disturbing us. 2) We arrived at 9:25am for breakfast and the four trays of the warm food were gone!!! There was no staff in the restaurant and I told the front desk to send someone to the area. The fruits and other food items were also not fresh and not good quality. We were planning to stay a few more nights upon arrival but with our disappointment we decided to stay only one night. If Scandic wants to survive in Antwerp they must do something about this low quality service.
Breakfast The smell from the sink in the bathroom.
The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was helpfule. The lobby had enough space. Small shop.
The location staff are unprofessional, breakfast is bad specially the egg and sausage choice. Rooms are dirty. Electric plug was broken and we complained three times but nothing was done.
coffee not served at table during breakfast old documentation of the city of Antwerp 1994 !!!! (in room)
The breakfast buffet is fantastic.
It was central and easy walking distance from the town. The facilities were good, including coffe and tea making facilities and a choice of bath and shower in the room. Also, as it is a modern hotel, there is a lift, so no walking up and down stairs with luggage. Check-in and check-out were easy and no problem with the booking. Not really a first choice for a city break/holiday as it is more for business than a hotel with a lot of character, but the other side of that is that it has the facilities. In common with many hotels, they need more or bigger pillows. I don't know why hotels are so mean with pillows and it makes a big difference to the comfort. (A word about Mechelen is that it has a lot going for it, but its attractions are a bit spolied by the roadworks and is a bit scruffy around the edges - but that's not the hotel's fault.)
Very well located. Quiet. It was one of the "new look" Novotels which is an improvement on their former image. Would like to have dined at the hotel but was disapointed with the menu which was not very creative.
The room was clean and pleasant and the hotel well located for visiting Mechelen and the surrounding areas It wasn't clear what was available for breakfast on the two price tarriffs i.e. full versus continental. The process for registering and then being charged for breakfast was not clear.
Fitness facilities, tv free channels, Wc is far from Bathroom, while (real) Moslems wash themselves after using wc.
The relaxed atmospere
I would expect business hotels to have free internet access or a reasonable charge per stay.
It is a very comfortable hotel, very well situated, I recommend it to every body.
Clean, well equipped room that was comfortable, quiet and in a great location. Initial check in was poor. Less than helpful, just going through the motions after a busy day. Had to ask about timings/facilities rather than being told. Wasn't told about the free 20mins internet use in the lobby. Breakfast was very overpriced at 18euro per person.
The room layout was excellent better than most I have stayed in previously
