1- I paid for a For Fusion or similar and they gave me a very small car. 2-I paid for rental insurance through one of KAYAK’s partners (rentalcover.com) and Addcar would not accept it. I had to pay almost double for additional coverage through Addcar. 3-It seems like Addcar and KAYAK are not on the same page at all
Very dodgy seeming business at Naples We had to cancel
The name of compagnie isn’t the same (appolo not Addcar) We must call the contact in the airport after waiting 30 minutes
The pick up and drop off was not at the airport
My experience with ADD Car Rental Greece was a disaster. 1. I arrived at the office at 8:59 am, to pick up my car at 9 am. No one was there. After 10 minutes of patiently waiting, I called the number on the door but no one answered. In the end someone came and I received my rental at 9:30. I also found it weird that they don't notate small marks/scratches but to be fair they didn't make any claims of damage. 2. When I was looking online, pick-up in Igoumenitsa and drop off in Ioannina had a small price difference versus pick-up and drop off in Igoumenitsa. So I went with dropping off in Ioannina as it works better in my plans. While picking up the car, the receptionist told me there isn't a station transfer fee. I told her that's how it was given to me. I showed her the confirmation from kayak / priceline and she said no, where is the confirmation from ADD. I explained that ADD never sent me one. She said okay, no problem it should be okay. 3. The next day, without informing me, I see an additional $120 charge from ADD on my American Express. I immediately called and they said the central office charged this additional fee. I let them know that this is illegal and unethical and I was informed that the central office wouldn't do something unethical and illegal and my options were to either drop off the car in Igoumenitsa and have the fee reversed or accept the extra charge that wasn't in my confirmation, I didn't agree to during drop off, and that they charged without permission. 4. In the end, I dropped it off in Igoumenitsa but there were no seats left for my next destination when I went to the bus station, causing me to pay for a hotel in Igoumenitsa, forfeiting my hotel in Patras, and a whole day wasted. 5. On top of this, the car was in horrible condition. The engine made weird noises and it was clearly beat down. This isn't what I would expect from a rental car which was quite expensive I must add. This whole situation cost me an extra $300, a day wasted, and lots of stress. And that's withstanding ADD Greece's unethical business practices which left a sour taste in my mouth. Needless to say, I would not rent from ADD Greece again.
This company uses bait and switch tactics. I paid for a luxury Porsche Cayenne SUV with an MSRP of over $100,000. What I got was an Audi Q5 that was half the value. when I asked the lady for the Porsche, she explained to me that they don’t even have one at that airport.
