The location was quite convenient to bus and ferry and sights.
The WiFi was almost nonexistent and the beds were hard as bricks. The facility is tired and worn.
Property is screaming for a urgent renovation. There was mildew in the bathtub, very poor, dirty, window didn’t close, sliding door did not lock. Staff did the best they can. Snack bar was great.
Hotel was very clean, breakfast excellent. Wonderful views from breakfast room/restaurant. Staff very helpful. Here we had Euro News on the tv- first hotel on the trip with "satellite" meaning an English-speaking station. Welcome raki and sweets was a nice touch. Lift to reach upper floors, nice lobby for relaxing. Tip: the local bus station to Knossos is down the hill from the hotel and the Archaeological Museum isn't far. Make sure you go to both of them EARLY just after 8am when they open. Avoid bus tours, mobs from cruise ships, etc. When we went to both there were more guards than visitors- not so a few hours later.
The location was fine being above the harbor and close to the center of town. We had much trouble finding the place and wound up walking up a large hill to the area around the Archaeological Museum. Going down to the bus station was also a challenge although it is close by. Make sure you know the exact directions beforehand.
The stuff welcomed me in night and morning with a big smile and were very nice. Good breakfast
Extremely small room
Breakfast was good. Great view of harbour area as restaurant was on 6th floor
Stale smell in room. Had requested double bed on booking and received confirmation, but was given room with single beds. When queried, reply was that there was none available
