Very nice and equiped rooms, although a bit small. Very good location. They let us leave our car in hotel parking after we checked out, which saved us a whole day parking fee.
Situation ideal for Zermatt train. Allowed to leave car in parking after checking out.
Very friendly and helpful receptionist, this was really the best thing about this hotel. The restaurant had surprisingly nice pizzas as well. Don´t bother with the "breakfast buffet". The price is too high for the value - for 10chf per person you get cheap ham, tasteless cheese and two sorts of bread. The bed was a real back-breaker. Both me and my partner had problems sleeping due to different body parts aching from the uncomfortable mattress. The pillows were stubby and the pillowcases were old and too well used to feel hygienic.
This is an excellent hotel, in a wonderful location if you like hiking. It is close to the railway station and to the Tourist Office. Rooms are very nice. In the evenings it is sometimes difficult to receive external phone calls
The staff were very uninterested in the guests
Good location for access to Zermatt train.
Nothing!!! I was terribly disappointed we did not get the room with a balcony that we paid for went to the desk and asked for another room it was overlooking a dirty pond with dead trees and broken ceramics ducks a real mess outside and it was not a balcony..the room was unbelieveably tiny bathroom door could not open all the way toilet right in front of the bed .. no room at all .. bed terrifically hard ..worst hotel and we visited 6 countries on our trip .. my husband researched this hotel looking for a Swiss hotel with flowers nice beds balcony nothing looked like the pics nothing front desk help not available smoking lounge at the base of the steps to outside smoke roaring thru the doors we were ready to leave My husband researched this hotel so that we could have a Swiss experience and we picked tasch because we had a car so we had no idea it was a small version of the port of new york authority hotel with a smoking lauge that was constantly in use by workers in the town no tourists were staying there there was no room at all to put your luggage imagine a skiing town and no room to put anything we were constantly tripping over each other we paid for 2 nights but did not want to stay 2 nights but we did and put up with it this is not a hotel for tourists to visit it was on the main street with no attractiveness at all just the train across the street and it was on a main drag nothing was nice about it at all a real mess
Our free upgrade to their sister hoteil Alpenresort in Zermatt was very much appreciated. We never got to see the inside of the Alpenhotel, therefore my comments relate to the Alpenresort. The food was excellent, the room spacious, very clean and romantically beautiful and provided us with what we came for; access to the mountains!
Room was clean, location was good. Nice balcony and shower. Comfortable bed. Yes. Free breakfast was not included, as mentioned on the ebooking info. The desk clerk was very snarky when asked about this. Also, reviewers had commented that there was a cash discount if paying in cash at time of checkout. Again, this was not true. I ended up spending much more than expected because of these issues. I would have stayed at another hotel had I known this. The wellness center facilities were too cool to enjoy. This was probably due to lack of use, but it would have been nice to have a sign stating this. We could have then powered up the facilities and come back in an hour when it had warmed up properly.
We were very happy with every aspect of our stay. No
The innkeeper has a genius for hospitality. It was also a bit off the beaten path in a scenic and quiet village while still being conveniently located.
The staff really is first rate here. The food was also very, very good. The owner is in staff and takes a personal interest. The facilities are just not that nice, and it is a train ride to Zermatt to go skiing, plus the location is very, very sleepy, so there is no major nightlife, not a large selection of places to dine...
Enjoyed the location, close proximity to the train into Zermatt. Hotel was under new management and renovation, but the owners were very accommodating. Need to change the name on the front of the building.
I enjoyed flexibility of the staff, e.g. it was possible to cut my stay without penalties, the kittchen and the bar were opened for us under request though they had been closed accordingly the timetable. I think there should be more variety in food during the breakfast, however the price for the meal was as chip as it could ever be.
Very helpful hotel staff/owner. Location is near to Randa station but there are 2 stops away to Zermatt.
We stayed at this hotel for it location and price. The service was excellent and Maurizio the owner very helpful and attentive. Location was superb an ideal base to explore the Matterhorn and beyond. Rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable.
Everything. Starting from the location, staff, food, comfort...everything was awesome.
Great room, very clean, feels like home. Breakfast was also good. We loved the time spent in the Matterhorn Golf Hotel. Hope to come back again to stay longer + explore more. Thanks
The owner is the best about the hotel. All together the hotel is excellent for any traveler, only the hotel is bit far from the Randa Station but still it is only 10 mins walk. But the good thing is that if u call, the owner will pick u up and drop as well. So with that money, Service is unbelievable. No other choice for me if i will have the chance to go Zermett area again.
Friendly, family feeling, shuttle to the station Might benefit from renovation
This hotel is very clean. Everything is brand new. The personel is very nice, and they have a free covered private parking. The rooms have excellent views, especially the ones with view to Breithorn and Klein Matterhorn which are peaks around 4000 meters height. The room where we stayed was also very large. I don't know if all are of the same size, but this one was huge.Another advantage is that the railway station is at 5 minutes of walking. Overall the price was very good for what this hotel offered.
A brand new facility and cheap rate compared to other hotels in Tasch. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. They have a hotel shuttle to Zermatt which is convenient and a cheaper rate for the Little Matterhorn cable car. One downside, to pay for the shuttle and cable car they only take cash, but there's an atm at the Tasch train station.
Very helpful staff. Spacious and clean rooms. Beautiful view Choices of food at the breakfast buffet were very limited and the same eveyday. Pillows were way too flat.
It's new and very clean. You can see the snow above the mountain though the windows of your room. It's really cheep around Zermatt.
I did not like their breakfast room in the basement. It was very stuffy (no air). I think it was overpriced, but then all Swiss hotels seem to be overpriced to me.
Helpful and friendly staff
this hotel is a great solution for cheaper zermatt vacation. the price is only the half of a hotel in zermatt with the same stadard. it is directly at the train station and you reach zermatt in only 12min. rather old hotel.
central placed, clean, good parkingplace,
Excellent location right across from the train station into Zermatt. Great value considering I just used it as a staging zone for going back and forth to Zermatt which is significantly more expensive to stay. Was a great hotel though and I would stay again. Bathroom was a little small but the room was spacious.
The receptionist took care not to talk dialect, but in a way that we could understand him. It was nice to read about the history of the hotel in the restaurant menu. Last but not least, the train station almost makes part of the hotel - it is so close!
It was right next to the train station, yet was quiet and comfy.
Profesional service and hospitality
This hotel is located right next to the train station. It is well constructed and we could not hear the trains, despite being able to see them from our room. The hotel is undergoing major alterations and additions. I suspect these will continue for the rest of the year. The hotel has a sauna and hot tub but too much chlorine is used in the hot tub to the extent that the air burns your eyes and throat. We could not stay in the tub more than 5 minutes.
Very good place next to train station in Tasch. Very convenient to Zermatt. Hotel very clean. Small restaurant attached was good.
Perfect location for the Zermatt shuttle. Good breakfast included. Parking is available under the hotel but is tight and a little dark on lower levels..
Good location, near train station to Zermat, free parking, good breakfast The bathroom is too oldfashion. A refresh would be nice.
We arrived and found parking space in the garage behind the hotel. The room was spacious, extremely clean and the staff were of outstanding friendliness. They were also helpful in booking our day trip to Zermatt and the cable car taking us to the foot of the Matterhorn. Another plus was the free of cost use of the internet access in the lobby. The lamb served at the restaurant is of outstanding quality. A very recommendable hotel. The lift is extremely small and for the use of the Sauna there is an extra charge.
the location was excellent for our snowboarding in Zermatt! The train to Zermatt is literally outside the main doors!!
next to the Bahnhof, easy to get into Zermatt
Friendly staff. Good location. Can extend checking out time till 2pm. The bathtub is in the room where I had to share with my teenage daughter. This made my daughter very uncomfortable when she needs to shower. I had to leave the room when she's taking a shower. The sauna is not working, the whirlpool is not working properly and the swimming pool is too cool. Breakfast was very disappointing.
This hotel is located directly beside the train station in Randa. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome there. The customer service was second to none. The room itself (ground floor, next to the computer station) was recently renovated with a warm and cozy feel and the bathroom was stylish, clean and spacious! Wifi was available free of charge in the room and a PC internet station is available for those travelling without their own laptop. Parking was free and the warm croissants for breakfast were delicious. Randa is a sleepy little town which was perfect for us compared to the touristy vibe in Zermatt.
The people there are very nice and hospitality, the location is close to the train station so very convenient . The decoration is so cute different from other hotel.
near to Zermatt, and next to train station. Parkservice and friendly owner. small kitchen in the room roof llitle too low in my room. but no problem for young people.
They upgraded my room to a balcony w/ mountain view, so I couldn't be happier. The location is an easy walk to the train station. Breakfast is hearty, and even the restaurant has an unbelievable view.
Clean, modern, well equipped and perfectly designed rooms, kind and nice owners that help us to arrange our short visit to Matternhorn on high level and answer on all questions on details. Hotel located in 10 meters both from rail station and tourist information center and just 15 minutes from Zermatt - ideal location. Big own parking free of charge. Fast and stable Wi-Fi internet access. And all these for very competitive and attractive price. One of the best hotels during our 11-days trip around the Alps. There are no any problems, all on high level of service - fully satisfied and good emotions during the stay here!
It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in our Europe trip. Reasonable price, nice room decoration, excellent bathroom, stable wifi, good services and rich breakfast provided. The hotel owner was eager to answer all of our questions and helped to solve problems. We also had a dinner there and the food is delicious. We are satisfied with this hotel.
We enjoyed our 3-day stay in this hotel very much. The employees are very friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet is great, we did not miss anything. The location in the village of Grächen is very nice, although one has to consider that it is 8km uphill from the main road towards Zermatt, and it is up to you whether this is an advantage or a disadvantage.
Good hotel, cosy, nice people Nice breakfast, with nice facilities sausa etc
We greatly - from a to z - enjoyed our stay at the Turm Hotel. Just love it.
The staff and the service is excellent. Most of the rooms has mountain view and the room is quiet and spacious. Very clean and comfortable to stay. Will stay there again when I am in Switzerland next time. Grachen is about 1.5 hours travel from Zermatt so be prepared
Good value for a basic facilty room out of the more expensive Zermatt, very friendly hotel owner. Could do with more bedding and a Tea making facilty would be a good addition.
This was the cheapest hotel available in Tasch. We were pleasantly surprised as the hotel was better than we expected. The rooms were average size, although the bathroom was massive (and basic). Beds and pillows were a bit soft but we managed fine. If you just want somewhere to sleep that is clean and in a fantastic location this is the place for you. We looked for the spa but it was in the basement and the doors were locked. We didn't bother to ask recpetion for access. The car park didnt look like the photo, was much darker and older, but it served us well and we were allowed to leave the car for a few hours after we had checked out. I would stay here again assuming it remains the cheapest in town.
friendly familly staff, easy shuttle bus, ok for a weekend skiing hotel good use a relook, unless you like the early seventies
The room had a great view of the mountains. We were picked up and taken to the train station with no extra cost. Free internet was also available in the lounge, and a variety of services from the hotel
Clean comfortable room, good breakfast. On the website, this hotel was advertised as having a sauna, steam bath and jacuzzi, and based on that information, I made my booking. When I got to the hotel, the proprietor told me that none of those facilities were in use, as it was the summer, and no-one wanted to use them. Although I can understand his point of view (what is the point in turning on the sauna etc if no-one uses it), it was advertised as having those facilities, and they should have been available. Had I known that they were not available, I would have chosen another hotel. very poor!!!!!!!!!
Proximity to Zermatt, and location close to train station to travel back and forth to Zermatt. Free parking Shower was difficult to use, and although free, wifi was spotty
Friendly staff Decor was a little outdated
The Owner, Judy is most excellent. Helpful and Beautiful. What more can you ask for?
Very nice hotel in a spectacular setting. The front desk folks were very helpful from start to finish. They will try to sell you the Kline matterhorn glacier gondola trip. We had planned to take the train to Gonergrat, but changed our mind - primarily because we were there on a clear, cloudless summer's morning. - and took the gondola to the top of Europe. It was well worth it. Stay at the Elite, and If it is clear, take the gondola trip.
Free parking and very close to railway station to get to Zermatt.
