6.3 Good
Pros: Interesting little island.
Cons: All good. We were not wared of the big Uber launch and it massively disrupted our last few days. There is supposed to be a big library but does not exist. There was a real lack of managerial presence very much a case of the blind leading the blind. I believe most of the top rooms were saved for the Uber people, we were the country cousins! Not very good.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: - Friendly staff - Great food, large variety of food available during buffet meals - peaceful/quiet atmosphere - great spa facilities - Beautiful views all around the island - good snorkeling right off the beach - fun activities organised daily
Cons: - shower in the room is made for hobbits.. expected to have a better shower in the room for the price we paid
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place to visit - swim, snorkel and dive to your heart's content! Staff are so friendly and helpful it is amazing. Dinner each evening was more than adequate. Huge thanks to Kai, the chef who cooked our fresh catch of coral trout to perfection. Also to Rick, Simon and Andrew from the dive shop - greatly appreciate the extra effort you put in for our nephew's dives and fishing charter. Yuki was sensational in sorting out the accommodation and transfers for us before we arrived on the Island, too. Main bed was great to sleep on - nephew was less comfy in the daybed arrangement, which was not ideal for the taller person. To the whole team on the Island - thank you for your thoughtfulness and assistance - you made our stay truly one to remember, and a great reason for why we will return.
Cons: As a captive consumer, more variety for lunch would be well received - particularly as it is the only meal each day you must pay for over and above your room rate. Suggest some mini pizzas, curried sausages or lasagna/spagetti bolognaise as "cheap but cheerful" alternatives. Plumbing needs some attention/maintenance. Room we were in provided only lukewarm showers each day. Toilet seal needs replacing ( allows odours to leak out of seal at floor level) and the floor waste gully needs to be cleared of debris and fully flushed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was brilliant, the trip over smooth and fast. The staff friendly and knowledgeable. The dinners were very good. The optional trips were good.
Cons: The cabins were a bit down at heel, could do with a refurbish. The resort is not disabled friendly. My partner has difficulty walking and climbing stairs, there were no rails anywhere to help. I had to use a torch at night to prevent her falling. We found it very expensive. I know it must be an expensive place to run. For us it was a once in a lifetime visit, not somewhere we would return to. The cold breakfasts were good but the hot breakfasts cold!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic and very unique place - so close to nature. Water sports activities are all worth to do - our snorkeling-trip was amazing - we are quite experienced divers but what we saw there was unbelievable. Restaurant and all other facilities work well - especially all staff in the restaurant was amazing - thanks to Nicole and her team - it was a pleasure to see how much fun they have with their work.
Cons: The boat transfer arrives usually at about 12 p.m., rooms are mostly available at 3:00 p.m. - so you have to wait quite a bit, hanging around and not knowing what to do - maybe there's a better way to deal with the arrivals. Internet access is only available at the reception and has to be paid for - this is hardly acceptable at all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The buffet breakfast and nightly dinners were excellent. The location is magical and there is no mobile phone reception, no cars, no tv in the rooms
Cons: The bathrooms could be cleaner
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Easy access to barrier reef for snorkelling. Beautiful set up on island. Breakfasts were great.
Cons: Dinner menu was poor with no dessert or coffee offered. Prices were excessive where all extras were charged. You shouldn't be expected to tip staff when you are paying such high prices for food and drinks. There were no biscuits in the room for a cup of tea over the five days we stayed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The wildlife was amazing; the resort well-organised and comfortable. The food was very good.
Cons: Not keen on keyless... but options were offered if a guest wants to pay. I understand why it’s done.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Remote but plenty civilized
Cons: Room cold at night; only one thin blanket
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was absolutely AMAZING. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The wait staff was outstanding and we'd like to thank Alex, Shaun and Kelly especially, as well as the chef's for accommodating our dietary requirements as vegans. Olga and Andrew at the marine centre are very knowledgeable guides for both snorkeling and scuba diving. Dan and James at the reception were super nice and made us feel worthy! The island is breathtaking! Every time you enter the water you're guaranteed to see turtles, sharks, rays, tropical fish and colorful coral. Just mind the tides before you book! A shot out to the rest of the staff we didn't mention, from the guides to the house keeping. The resort is a bit dated but much more appreciated as it is an eco resort! I recommend staying on the island for st least 3 days, and take sea sickness tablets if you're going on the ferry! It is very true that staff do make all the experience, you're very lucky you have them on board!
Cons: I honestly don't know how people can complain about this beautiful island!
