Pros. Nice pool directly on boardwalk
Cons. Old room even though remodeled it was bad. And we got charged a $60 resort fee that we knew nothing about when we booked it. So we might as well have stayed at a $200 a night room because that’s what we ended up paying. It did not say anything about this when we booked it on your site. Elevators kept breaking and had to walk through a long basement area to use old service elevator. A LONG walk. Everyone we spoke to said it’s been like that for years
Pros. The location was good.
Cons. The hotel was run down and disgusting. I felt like I walked into the apocalypse. I’ve paid a quarter of the price for places better than this. The room was lacking as well, uncomfortable bed with deflated pillows. People yelling in the hallways all night. Apparently they air bnb out most of the hotel too. Two of the three elevators were broken and the building was on “fire watch”. Meaning safety features were non operational.
Pros. Nothing everything was misrable specially customer service
Cons. Horrible experience and customer service was trying to check in at 1 am Saturday and agent didn’t want to give me a room cause it was one day ahead my reservation and didn’t wanna change the date on my reservation and i lost all my reservation money 112$. Very disappointing.
Pros. Nothing
Cons. Arrived at check in and had to wait 30 minutes because they couldn't find my reservation through Kayak.."we've been having alot of problems with them"...they said. Then they refused the room unless i gave them a deposit in the amount of the reservation despite fact I already paid. When I got to room the bed had only 2 small pillows for 2 adults, the a/c wouldn't shut off and the toilet was broken and ran all night..I stayed only 4 hours and left before dawn..couldn't sleep..Their fictitious record had me checking out at 12:30pm that day.."sorry sir but you stayed the day so no refund"...Stay away from this place..a motel 6 has better rooms and hospitality...
Pros. I like being able to walk out on to the beach from the hotel. The lobby was decorated nicely and provided lots of space for it's guest. The room had a miniature full size refrigerator with a freezer another with a stove and microwave.
Cons. The first they couldn't find my reservation I had to call customer service for them to call the hotel to confirm my reservation. I had to be moved to another room after the first room which was outdated looked old and unclean. I was on the 4th floor and the ceiling started leaking water onto the bed around 9pm. So I went to complain to the front desk after trying to call a couple times with no answer. They moved me to another room 5 doors down. This room was awesome, clean, decorated nicely and had updated appliances. God was looking in my favor by allowing that ceiling to leak because I did not feel comfortable at all in the first room provided to me. Everything was great once I was moved to a nicer room. But when it was check out time the maid service ignored the 'do not disturb' sign on the door and though I had the latch lock tried to open the door three times before 10 am. I left her a note/tip of the rudeness of the actions and complained to the front desk who stated that she will address the complaint with the supervisor immediately.
Pros. Initially our reservation was for 5 nights, but checked out 6 hours into the stay due to deplorable, unsafe & horrible experience. Arrived after driving 1200 miles to room being filthy, tub had blood, curtain with mold, a horrible smell, walked our luggage up to the 5th floor due to elevators not working. Once into our deplorable room we went to complain about our room/hotel going down stairs and ended up in an unsafe area under construction. In an attempt to find our way back we ended up locked in this area for 20 minutes trying to get safely back out. No manager on duty until 2 days later & individual on duty didn't care about the entire ordeal we had gone through. Absolutely nothing he could do. We checked out 6 hours later & haven't received reimbursement or apologies from manager till this day. We had to to go and locate another room and dish out another $500. Notified get a room company immediately about nightmare experience & still 5 days later awaiting on response about refund. Submitted pictures to them
Cons. EVERYTHING......A horrible horrible experience
Pros. The fact that it was walking distance to the beach was the only plus
Cons. My boyfriend and I were returning from a cruise and had one night to stay in FL before we returned home the next day. The ocean walk is closed vacant and immediately makes the hotel scary as soon as you walk in. The shops that are there are not tourist friendly, at all. We knew from reviews that the hotel was "dated", which we were completely fine with. Dated is not the word to use, it is filthy. The Windows facing the ocean in our room haven't been windexed in I don't know how long, the doors and walls were filthy from people touching them. I'm not talking a few scuff marks, it looks like they haven't been painted or cleaned in years. AND THIS WAS A RENOVATED ROOM! Our bathtub had hair in it from the previous guests, not to mention the tub is worn, the bathroom mirror has broken glass, the sink leaks everywhere, the space between the vanity and the tub is FILTHY. The baseboards in the hotel were filthy. The vents haven't been dusted or cleaned since the 70's. We didn't even want to take our shoes off to walk around in our own hotel room. We lifted the mattress up to make sure there weren't bugs and there was so much filth under the mattress, the bedskirt hasn't been changed in years. We tried to remain positive, we were only there for one night. But it was just horrible. I can't suggest enough to you not to stay at this hotel, spend a little more and stay down the strip. The front desk staff did not smile once nor were they helpful. All three shift changes were rude. The pool has mold and slime by the drains. We felt dirty just swimming in the pool.
Pros. Nothing
Cons. The rooms were out dated. No comforters. I was freezing all night. The blinds were broken. I couldn't sleep a past 7am when the sun came out because of the suns rays in my eyes. Ridiculously stupid shoes required in lobby rule. It's a beach resort!! Horrid parking situation. Really I have to pay a parking garage $20. Was there not enough land in Florida to create a guest only complimentary parking lot? Also the beach water was plagued by seaweed. I couldn't even swim without being engulfed by it. Check out is also 11am with a strict policy. Overall horrible place. I feel like I was ripped off
