Everything is extra; wi-fi at $13+ a day, coffee $2.00 a pouchIt's a very old hotel, beds are small, it doesn't have any restaurant around you have to walk 2 to 3 block to find a breakfast place.
Its a hidden gem if you want a location a bit less touristy. Great staff willing to help you with what ever you need! They extended the 'Aloha Spirit' from the time we arrived. GREAT view of the canal and good location and easy on the pocket book.
nope! The room was clean, beds were comfy. As a 'handicapped' traveler the parking, elevator and easy access showers were wonderful. We had a great view of the canal by day and wonderful city lights at night off the patio. The staff was excellent with helping with our tours, drive and activity requests along with general needs. The housekeeping staff did excellent work. I will share this find with my friends, Carmen and all the staff will take good care of them!
The entire staff was very friendly, helpful, and filled with the Aloha spirit! We had a great experience at this hotel, and it is in an awesome location! We were within walking distance to everything! Not to mention the entire staff from the concierge, the front desk staff, to the maintenance man where always eager to help!
It was completely beneath the standards that I set for Priceline. I made the reservation from my phone and had no idea that it was an old room with old furniture and bedding. I never saw a rating and the list including top rate hotels.I actually purchased this for my brother and his wife and was very embarrassed when they were checked in. I would not allow them to stay there. The room was so unacceptable that they did not stay there even after paying the fee for it. I recommend that Priceline take this hotel off its list of hotels. It does not meet the caliber of hotels that I associate with Priceline. I have always recommended Priceline but the purchase of this hotel would make me think twice when I make the next purchase. The type of person that would probably be okay with this room is someone who plans to only need ' a place to crash' after having drank and partied most of the night. Clearly not what I had in mind. I have change...
Good location. Only 1 block from bus line and 2 blocks from beach. Across street from Ala Wai canal and golf course. Beautiful view of mountains.
Didn't have a pool.Upon arrival I had to pay for the room. After contacting Priceline with difficulty, I was told that they had not charged my AE card. AE confirmed this. In the past Priceline charged me once I accepted the recommended hotel?Looked like the hotel rooms & bath had recently been painted and new tile laid. Rooms were kept clean altho new carpet could be used. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The price was right and I would stay there again.
You got to talk to the manager of this hotel to get things resolved. The manager was nice but not the staff.
The staff was rude. I was told that the type of rooms I booked was all gone, and was given an what they called 'upgraded' - but actually was degraded. Had to stay there for one night. (did not get compensated for.) Had to talk to the manager the next day.Stay away if you happen to meet the RUDE staff there. Nobody except for the hotel manager cares about the credit of the hotel. You know what I meant.
Friendly customer service. Close walking distance to popular sites in Honolulu.
Traffic noise on Ala Wai Blvd. Insufficient parking space only 7 narrow slots.
The front desk manager upgraded me to a one bedroom at an apt bldg. She was friendly and helpful.
The annex is an old apt blg. The elevator needs to be renovated. Hard to get into parking area with a mini van. Very common in Waikiki, is the traffic noise. The 1-bedroom I had was being renovated with new laminate wood flooring, paint, cabinet doors, and bed. Bedroom is spacious. Living room furniture are mixed-matched. Ameities: Need a hair dryer and dish washing detergent.
