This hotel is ocean front property. They contacted me days prior my arrival to inquire about my accommodations and special requests. I mentioned how I would be getting married during my stay. I was upgrade to a room with a beautiful view free of charge. The room service is quick and food is delicious. I really enjoyed my time there :D
There was some construction going on during the day time. It was loud and caused dust inside the hotel.
Location at the quiet end of Waikiki; nice almost private beach. Staff was very polite and helpful.
The cost of hotel';s food and drink (2 restaurants, expensive bar).
Location was perfect, felt like a place the locals go and was still close enough to the busy tourist areas, that you can walk.
best parts - location truly beachfront. staff, RON in particular. He went out of his way to give us a lift to relatives in Salt Lake. Thanks again Ron! Dinner was great (a little pricey, but what's not in Waikiki)... quick service from William- Thanks William.
Room was quite small, nice size bed, no room for side tables, just enough to squeeze out of bed and into the bathroom or out the room. TV and wifi quite bad! TV often freezes, lots of strong wifi addresses but cannot connect to them only the weak ones and then get disconnected every now and then.
fantastic views! room service food was excellent and fast. friendly and helpful staff.
one thing they must improve is to let guests know that in order for the AC to work, all sliding glass doors must be fully closed - if left ajar the AC shuts off.
No inroom tea
The service was excellent. Restaurants and facilities were top notch. One on property you need not go anywhere else. A great experience!
That we had to leave.
This is my second stay here and will not be my last. Daughter lives in Kaimuki, so the location is perfect. I love the beach there. Both stays have been in suites on the 9th floor - what luxury! Like the bar and bar food menu. Like that they offer free grass mats and large towels for the beach.
Don't like that you can't get a cup of tea or coffee in the lobby, but Russell's was close enough.
Our room was spacious with a fabulous view and we love the safe and clean beach that is used by the locals as well as the hotel guests.
The lights are too bright in the bar
The position of the hotel right on the beach and yet so close to many attractions. Also the views
would have liked coffee making facilities in room
Instead of a king-sized bed, it was two smaller beds pushed together. The room was small. The room looked old, run-down, stained. The air-conditioning blew onto the bed.
We liked the seaside, quiet place and it is close to down town (10 min walking).
Quiet location off the main "strip". Junior suite had a clever sliding door, perfect if you want to separate the room and someone wants to have a snooze. It's just a screen though so you have to be quiet.
A few of the reception staff were helpful but the valet staff were not offering any help at all. They were just standing round chatting. The rooms are nice enough but quite small. Beach access is through the lobby. Interiors are a bit tatty and worn, the whole hotel seems a bit downmarket compared to some of the other hotels in Waikiki.
Rooms being renovate. No notice about renovations. Lots of noise during the day.
Beach, very efficient staff very good breakfast and excellent restaurant on site, additional top end Japanese resto also. Very courteous, clean, etc.
No, we liked everything about it.
GREAT location for the Honolulu Marathon! Nice quiet beach. Cleaning staff were terrific. Hau Tree Lani is my favorite restaurant in Honolulu.
Some front desk staff were not so friendly.
This boutique hotel's location feels like it is part of the quiet luxury condo district. It's location right on the beach with the outdoor terrace virtually on the sand gives it a unique feel. The beach does not feel "touristy".
