The wonderful staff they were all very helpful. Would be nice if the walls had more insillation
I always stay in Microtel Inn when I visit Weeki Wachee. Everything is great. Best choice in the area. Period! None
Our whole experience was great...we checked in late due to a long drive time, staff greeted us with a smile! Room was clean, bathroom was perfect! We had 2 young children with us. Room had everything we needed: fridge, microwave. Continental breakfast was SUPERB! Everything you would want for breakfast was available!
Great place to stay. Very friendly staff.. Only complaint and wouldn't consider it a complaint is the ac was inconsistent. Would freeze you out one minute and then get make you hot the next.
I had a lot on my schedule and I needed a good night for the kids to sleep in and the road was going to bring more problems than I needed. Howard Johnson was good bedire
the bed and shower the breakfast
I was skeptical about the quality since it was so cheap, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I'd stay here again for sure. The pool was advertised as being heated, but the water was way too cold to swim. One of the staff members told us the heater got unplugged while it was being cleaned, but that it should be warm by the next morning. The next evening, and again that following morning, the pool was still not heated. Another guest told us he'd heard the same story earlier in the week. Don't book here if a heated pool is a deal breaker..otherwise, I'd absolutely reccomend it.
Close to where I needed to be. They aloud smoking and dogs. The room could have been a lot cleaner, for example the mirror on the bath room door was so dirty that you could write your name on it. The sink drained very slow. The floor was dirty upon arrival. The coffee maker in the room was nasty, it had lint all over it. More towels would have been nice.
For the money it was good value. It's a good 2 star and could be rated 2 1/2. As a guy I found it to be fine for my needs.
Nice and clean, easy to find but nothing special.
It looked like homeliss people lived there
Convenience..near shopping and across the street from the springs Outdated....
Nice clean room with no bugs. Friendly staff. Great rates.
The hotel is directly across the street from a water park. The internet was not high-speed at all, there was no fitness center, the hotel did nothing about complaints of noisy dogs.
Location that was it Very outdated, carpets were dirty because the bottom of my white socks were black, the king bed was old and very uncomfortable, it seemed someone lived there with a cat , my allergies were thru the roof. The atmosphere seemed more of an apartment complex atmosphere and not of a hotel. My girlfriend did not feel safe at all. Never be back .
Staff was excellent. Property is old and needs much improvements... very poor quality, the pictures made it look much more acceptable. No mini fridge, microwave. Plenty of cockroaches. Coffee in the hotel was barely warm every morning. Would not advise staying here.
Location and price Spray for bugs...
Friendly staff, convenient breakfast, and new hotel. They provided us with two travel cribs for our babies at no cost. Smoke-free building was a huge plus as well. Price was a little higher than other hotels nearby. We're still happy we chose this hotel.
It was nice to have hot coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby as we spent a couple of cool days. The room and facility was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was great! There was no refrigerator in the room. I understand why you wouldn't want cooking in the room, but most people travel with snacks or have leftovers from restaurants that they need some place to store them safely.
Convenient location Pleasant and professional staff
Clean, comfortable, large rooms. Friendly staff. Quiet.
Was adequate and acceptable. Was just acceptable.
Price was right. First room was smelly. Second room was next to very noisy neighbors.
Nothing Cold showers, old rooms, old tv, spotty wifi.. will try to keep your deposit..
Check out time! The amount of obvious drugs being sold and drunk people walking around yelling. The pool is heated....! And it was about 93• out and so was the pool, terrible! If you have a problem with drugs or fighting try to stay away from the ends where your secluded. Not safe at all.
The view was nice. The TV was from 1980. The sheets had burn stains in them. The staff was slow (and rude, see below), the walls are paper thin, the toilet barely flushed, and the air conditioner only has two settings; Off and Arctic. I knew Saturday night I would be up late, so I got a late checkout on Sunday. They still woke me up at 11, then turned off my keys. I had to go get my key re-coded, and ended up having to wait 10 minutes for the receptionist to get off the phone. She was busy answering questions about the area to a POTENTIAL customer. I think they should worry more about the customers already paying. I had to get my key re-coded 3 times (in a 4 day stay) and every time it was at least a 10 minute wait while the receptionist was on the phone. The pool and Jacuzzi were both closed for renovations (and being from Canada, I wanted to be in both!) but no where did it tell you this ahead of time. Even when checking in, they didn't mention this. I didn't find out until I went to hop in the pool, then had to go ask at the front desk. All-in-all, there was nothing good about this place except for the view. The price was high, compared to all the other hotels in the area that had cheaper prices but offered the same accommodations. I will never stay here again. In the future, I will go to the next town over, which has much classier hotels, at similar prices.
the staff, the 3 bars especially the tiki bar, the pool, the restaurant, had good food, cleanliness of the room, the ocean view from the room, prices at the bar were very reasonable. music at the tiki bar was fun especially sweet charlie, location was awesome very close to places like Tarpon Springs the breakfast was really not a breakfast but was good enough snack until lunch. Had cereal, juice, toast and coffee.
We chose this specific hotel while browsing online like most people and were trying to find the closest one to the family we were visiting since we were going to be spending every day with them but wanted our own get away at the end of the day. The location of the hotel is great in the respects it's in the middle of everything. But, the location is definitely the only thing that brings people to choose it and the fact that it's dirt cheap. But with dirt cheap you're gettting what you paid for, an out of date hotel with carpet, beds, baths, sinks, toilet, showers etc that were around when the dinosaurs walked the earth. Do not be fooled by the water front pictures of the marina, or any other pictures. In real life it's less than appealing. Our first impression of the room was being greated with the strongest smell of cigarette smoke I have ever smelt (and we were in a NON smoking room). We immediately called the front desk and demanded we be switched out of this awful room, which we were without an issue. But, we were refused a room on the refurbished side of the building claiming it was "all booked" when there was a total of 10 cars in the lot the entire time we were there. Thankfully the room was only used to shower and sleep since we had a very busy week ahead of us and we're gone all day everyday. But even being there to only shower and sleep was not what we had hoped it would be. This is not the type of place you can just relax and be lazy in for a day or even a half day to recover and rest. I definitely would not stay here again. If our reservation wasnt non refundable, we would have immediately left and went to another hotel down the road.
Everything is close by. New wood flooring was nice to look at. Free wi-fi. Staff was friendly and helpful. The floors were sticky from apparently being waxed and made our feet dirty to walk on. Antiquated TV and decor. When attempting to take a shower, half the water still came out of the faucet. The wobbly table was fixed with a scrap of carpet under one leg. Blanket on the bed was barely thicker than the sheets. The heater sounded like a car was in the room with us all night. Outlets for charging phones and laptop were all out of the way or required furniture to be moved. Walls have no sound dampening. Whole room felt outdated not just in appearance but in function, as if nothing had been fixed or replaced in a long time.
The hotel has a nice view of the Marina. It was dirty. I booked a non-smoking room and when we arrived late at night, the room reeked of cigarettes. There were cigarette buds behind the furniture amd within 5 minutes of my stay I saw FIVE baby cockroaches. Needless to say we left the hotel and did not stay the night.
The setting by the marina is lovely. Close to stores for convenience. Pool is larger and nicer that you would expect. Staff goes out of their way to assist in any way. Maintenance and Housekeeping staff are friendly and efficient. Nice free breakfast daily. My grandkids were welcome to join me for swimming. This is a great value for the money. Older rooms are in need of sprucing up.
Front desk was very nice Too many bugs for me
The view of the marina. It was clean enough and comfortable enough. Very happy with my stay. The breakfast was not worth getting up for and the lounge was too dark to eat in
Probably the best Mattress and pillows I ever had at a hotel Room was dated, wall paper peeling off walls, carpet padding was worn out under carpet creating pockets in the carpet, I twisted my ankle in one of them. Looks like they were renovating some rooms next to the one I had.
The only thing likeable was location. The lobby smelled, the staff was cursing, the hot tub looked like watered down milk, the pool had floating debris, the grounds were full of trash, the room next to ours had 'visitors' throughout the night (possibly she had 4 or 5 'clients'), fire alarm was pulled and the very noisy bar spilled out onto the grounds being way too loud and drunk, woke in the morning and found cockroaches occupying the bathroom.
Wasn't clean, smelled weird. Bugs. Dirty furniture
Clean, updated rooms, comfortable beds. Friendly staff. There is NO continental breakfast, HOWEVER the restaurant is really cheap and it's a big step up from the standard continental breakfast (my meals cost around $5). I arrived around 3am and the lobby doors were LOCKED because there was only one person on staff and they were doing something in a different part of the hotel. I understand why they would do this but it was NOT a good feeling to be locked out of my reserved motel after a really stressful 16-hour drive. I had to call the front desk to get in.
The coffee. First our reservation hadn't been processed so they didn't know where to put us. Then our AC was off in the room, which smelled musty and felt damp, it took over 2 hours for our room to cool down. Then the restaurant was only open for breakfast,6:30-10:30am. There were dead bugs on the floor, the plumbing was loud, the AC sounded like it was ready to explode. When the toilet backed up we were asked to come to the front desk to get a plunger (they had noone to handle this problem), There were no working ice machines for the guests, you had to go to the front desk to get ice and the main lobby area to buy soda. Internet access was not available in our room. IThe room just didn't make the grade and I felt we were misled by the advertising for this room.
Staff were very nice. Had a bar and restaurant on site. After a long day traveling it was a welcome sight. Lobby area being remodeled and painted. We were in a room on the backside of the hotel. It didn't appear very safe but we didn't have any problems. Beds not very comfortable. Carpet was filthy.
Close to everything. Great staff! Restaurant only open til 10pm.
Clean, easy access to attractions. Pillows were flat, and soft even though marked firm. Mattress was lumpy and springs were creaky. Early morning staff is overworked, need more than one person to work desk and cover the breakfast.
Rooms and breakfast options were good. Shower head did not have a good setting.
Staff responsive to my room issue Room had mold and the wi fi was slow
Mold and mildew smell in room. This has was my 2nd stay in 2 years and the same issue. Will not return.
all was OK water or coffee pot in room was nasty chlorine taste, breakfast was good
Location, that's it. Outside is gross and people walking around mostly looked like crackheads. Walked into the lobby and there was not guests watching TV and playing. Receptionist didn't even bothered to get up, she just said "canna help you" room was DISGUSTING, carpet was dirty enough to dirty your feet, dust on corners, furniture, and the AC had not been cleaned for a long time, all vents were dusty and filter was black. I took pictures and videos but unfortunately I cannot post them here. In the morning breakfast was not bad but the maids were sitting in with the guests and having loud conversation in a foreign language like if it was their living room. There was no one at the desk in the morning at check out time, we were told by maids to just leave the keys on the counter. Not a place I would ever go back to. https://youtu.be/_3zHI9FZP4Q , https://youtu.be/jx_DT4z1N-U
Clean room with lots of electrical outlets. Bathroom fan not working,Lousy internet.
Staff was friendly and courteous We always enjoy our stays here

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Complimentary breakfast was outstanding. Breakfast staff very efficient. I was on the third floor and half of the floor was closed due to repairs. Cartons with supplies were outside the elevators, one had to be careful when entering or leaving the hotel also due to repairs.

Very nice, helpful staff, appeared clean and well furnished Price - not cheap.
Location to the springs. No
Room was close to entrance. ..quiet...Staff knowledgeable about the area. Staff putting breakfast away while people are still eating and serving themselves.
Cleanliness and location! There were a lot of missing free breakfast items that took a while to get replaced.
The lady at the desk was very nice. I asked about late check out and she said. I will put you in for noon checkout. Very over priced and did not meet up the the reviews. most things had been recently painted maybe 1-2 years. Walking across the floor i could feel wood? lifting under the carpet as I walked. The bathroom where kind of new (2-4 years). the toilet was so short that my 5 foot tall wife even said something. LOL The TV remote was missing, When we went to the office, it was locked and we could not find a button to ring. :( The bed was very uncomfortable because is sank very low... :( The entire motel smelled like curry. I was woken at 10:45am by the gentlemen at the front desk asking me was I staying another night? Explained to him about the late checkout. He said there is nothing in the books. I told him I will be out by noon. Went over to their complimentary breakfast, they had coffee(which i do not drink), a drink dispenser and The only way I would tell anyone to stay there would be for $29 a night.
The price was right for what you get. Bad satellite.
Its the nicest hotel close to Port Richie. Its an alright place to stay in a pinch. It could have been alot cleaner. I dont think the carpet in my room had been shampoo in years. I would definitely not stay here with children as prostitutes were being chased off by staff all night.
I liked the price I paid. I didn't expect much for the price, say cheaper towels, harder mattress, tv quality, etc.,,,but cleanliness is a must! Our non-smoking room had 2 ashtrays in it. There was an old bike with a flat tire chained to the post directly outside our door. The a/c cut on and off and the toilet ran all night unless you turned the water off at the toilet valve...but the worst thing of all was the room smelled so much like pee that we left in the early hours of the morning without brushing our teeth or showering. We couldn't sleep at all with all the maintenance issues cutting on and off much less the room smelled like a port-a-let. I "got far less than what I paid for" which wasn't much....
The rooms were renovated and decent for the price. There was too much activity. It was obvious that there were lots of people who live at this hotel. Those residents were not shy about talking about illegal activities VERY loudly. I had to call the front desk at 7am. When the staff person answered he had been sleeping. He also seemed irritated that I "called so early". I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!
Nothing The room smelled and police were coming in and out of parking lot
Someone isn't spending enough time managing the help. It's the little things that add up in places like this. The housekeeping left a lot to be desired. There was no Kleenex in the bathroom Kleenix holder and someone had left an open hair conditioner bottle on the countertop with the other stuff.Over 1/2 of its contents was already gone when I arrived. Those are my experiences.
The hotel was clean. Friendly breakfast staff. Fire alarm went off in our room for no reason & the staff did not know how to silence it. Housekeeping never came to our room. After a long day I had to call the front desk at 10PM to ask for clean towels and washcloths; we were brought towels and hand towels (no washcloths).
