Excellent hotel with very warm friendly staff, great breakfast and facilties The shower was not very strong and the room was quite small
Great location with short walk along sea front to Hvar town. Ticked all the boxes and gym had a spectacular view...added incentive to work out while on holidays.
I thought the location of the hotel was very nice and the outside pool area was comfortable and spacious. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in the rooms! Very, very outdated! Our shower leaked horribly and the carpet and furniture was old and dirty. This hotel needs a desperate remodel! It is like something out of the fifties and in it's days, i'm sure that it was lovely. However, this is 2010, it is time to make some changes!
locatian , close to city Hvar
The location of the hotel is good with wonderful walk way to the old town. The pool area is beautiful with the sea view. The room was extremely small with leaking shower panel as water streamed out on to the floor. We had to mop up the floor after every use. Poor quality breakfast food for a 4 star holiday hotel. Long access with too many stairs to the pool area. Overall, the hotel is not a good value for money, the prices are overrated. Finally they made a mistake and double charged my card account. Hopefully they will credit the difference!
When we eventually got moved to a room with a seaview - this was the one outstanding feature of the hotel - the views we amazing When arriving to check into the hotel - No porter to help with luggage 5pm. The male receptionist was useless - took 10 mins to check us in and we were the only clients. we asked for a room with a seaview but he referred our request to his boss another male who refused to give us a seaview saying the hotel was full which was a lie. That night it was obvious that the hotel was not full and I was able to go on the internet and see that plenty of rooms with seaviews were available. The next morning I spoke to reception again and this time a very able Lady receptionist Called Ana got us moved at once. Only for her our 5 night holiday would have been a disaster. The Hotel has far too many steps.
Nice moderm rooms, recommend sea view rooms
The the proximity to the beach and that wonderful panorama. Staff were excellent and most helfpfull in providing information on the background and history of the area. Also the services were quite professional - a very pleasant stay It would have been useful for the hotel to have provided a tour guide for some of the day trips to local islands so that we would have had a better knowldege of the area, its history and culture.
Rooms luxurious, breakfast super and beach area beautiful!
I liked the location and the ocean view. The rooms are a bit small. Also my room had some problems: first the lights didn't work, then a problem with air conditioner. The water of the tub and lavatories filled up when you used it. It's a nice hotel but needs to be restored in some issues.
location, view, comfortable, modern swimming pool under construction. It will look nice when finished
We decide not to stay at the hotel after seeing the room. The hotel is old fashioned and in need of updating. The rooms are small, dated with the bathrooms in particular need of modernistaion. Also the walk to town was steep and not very inviting
The woman at the breakfast was very nice. Do not stay at this hotel. The room was horrible. The shower curtain had black mold on it, the bathroom floor had a dirty film all over it, the one chair in the room was way to dirty and stained to sit on, and the carpet looked as though it had not been vaccumed in a good couple of years. We would have checked out but there were no other rooms open on Island and the fairy back to Split had left
proximity to the sea and town, decent breakfast. The lobby was drab and smoke filled. The manger was rude. Although this is only a two-star hotel they still need air-conditioning.
View over the bay from the balcony, and spaciousness of the room. Quite hard to find!
Good staff, decent rooms, great location. Really affordable - ask for a fan if you are too hot. Just note you have to walk up stairs to get to and from the center of town easily. You can get there by car if you have issues walking.
Not so far and not so close to the city center no air conditioning and no TV
the service was excellent and rooms cosy...loved the bathrooms ! awful fishtank in the restaurant
The bay view and ease of access to the town and restaurants. Very noisy especially because of the nightclub upstairs. Having to drag our luggage from the taxi stands all the way to the front of the hotel.
Location location loc...... Pool terraces
We enjoyed the proximity of the hotel to the marina/harbour and the fantastic views from our room. We also appreciated the standard of cleanliness/service in our room. Somtimes just a little bit of noise from late night revellers! (not those staying in the hotel)
Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, friendly and efficient staff. Large swimming pool is a great bonus. In such an expensive hotel, why do you have to pay for the bottled drinking water? - More information about excursions, walks etc possibilities would be helpful; on the other hand, there is a very helpful information office nearby.
It is a great hotel in all respects. From the long hours for breakfast (6-11) until the Jazz band playing in the terrace during the evening, fantastic experience. Nothing to indicate.
Almost everything about the hotel was excellent, but especially the room, the location and the delightful beach club. Whilst the room was excellently designed and furnished, it was on the small side for two people with no room for a second suitcase or to move around. We also had an issue with our bill on checking out where the hotel was charging us for the three nights stay but only crediting us for a payment for two nights, allbeit that we had paid for three nights.
The breakfast was great overlooking the marina. The location was perfect for dropping into the main square. The car hire booking through the hotel was with a company called Luka. They did not show up with the car on the day and we had to make our own alternative arrangements. The rooms were rather small - but had a great view of the marina.
very sophisticated, chic and cool rooms could have been a little bigger
Funky, cool hotel in amazing location right on the harbour. Room had stunning picture perfect view of all the yachts and very pretty town def. worth paying extra for this. Attentive and very well trained friendly staff - excellent buffet breakfast. Lovely Roof Top with bar and restaurant where you can chill on sofas, loungers and love beds to funky beats. Did not like indoor pool on Roof Top, would have been much better with open roof/sides. Music on Roof Top was too quiet in day but at night was kept awake with music being too loud at night!
The outside bar area is excellent, the sofas are very comfy and ideal for lounging around BUT if you don't have an hour spare whilst you wait for the waiter to come and ask you what you want then head off to another bar where you will be served within five mins. The rooms are very comfy, medium sized and the bathrooms are very well designed with a funky shower so that you can look into the room. Chamber maids were excellent and very courteous. Concierge was helpful, when there, it seemed to be their day off at least two out of the four days we were there. Not good enough for a 4star hotel. Location was excelletn and ideal for watching the multi million £ yachts.... The front desk manager on arrival was soo miserable he actually made me feel like I was in the wrong for staying there. Any questions were way too much effort. He couldnt be bothered and most certainly in the wrong job. There was a heavy rain storm and he begrudgingly gave us umbrellas, everything was such an effort. The time it takes to get served in the bar is ridiculous. Not attentive in the slightest. It seemed they would prefer no one to drink sthere
Excellent location, right in the heart of everything and across from the port. Were able to use the facilities of the other hotels from same company like Adriana. The breakfast was terrible and anything extra (latte, eggs) were charged extra. They never had enough towels throughout my entire stay and refused to give us any. Room was so small that we kept on bumping into things and eachother. THe bathroom was transparent and basically a part of the room - very akward and not practical. Our "city" view was a wall.
Good Location, friendly staff, beautifully decorated, good breakfast Room too small, fridge turns off when key card is removed (and things don't get cold enough), breakfast only served outdoors (and it rained), concierge not very helpful and too much noise from the club beside.
The personnel was very helpful. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Too little frosted glass on the toilet door... but that is a personal opinion.
Location and view The room was too small.
1) Access to chic and stylish indoor sea water swimming pool at Tops of Adriana (same group of hotel). 2) Harbour side location and convenient to fortress. 3) Warm welcome from receptionist Ivana and very nice and helpful concierge assistance from Petra 4) Customerized fried eggs at breakfast The art deco design was chic but not as functional especially the bathroom fixtures e.g. the wash basin and tap. The guestroom is much smaller than expected.
Hotel is very well placed and the public spaces are large and comfortable but the bar prices outrageous. The noisy airconditioning unit close to my bedroom window.
We loved the location and the modernness of the hotel. The room was small and interesting with a glass toilet door but we loved the uniqueness!! We received chocolates and champagne our first night and enjoyed having access to the pool of thier sister hotel. Would recommend to any friends staying in Hvar. Pillows could be better.
Location, rooms, staff. Noise from Disco on 4th floor
The location is amazing. Very modern.
All Receptionist was great. They helped us very much to organize everything. rooms are very small
The hotel staff was excellent, from Reception desk to waiters and roommaids - service like I have never seen anywhere else in all Croatia - everyone smiling and willing to help. A big plus: The hotel braggs about sending the customers their forgotten goods, wherever they are. It is true, I have experienced it: I forgot a waterproof jacket and remembered late that evening; I asked them to send it to one of my next destinations and the package was waiting for me upon arrival. And I really used that jacket, because it started to rain heavily in the exact same day. Another reason to choose this hotel is the magnificent view over the harbour and city center of Hvar, from the 1st floor Restaurant terrace. And the last reason is the great atmosphere this hotel lets you remember: an old building of Venetian style architecture, with nice decorations, transporting you through time hundreds of years back. There was a certain sense of not caring for the rooms, like broken door handles, or broken drawers. My believe is that they can be more thorough in checking the rooms and replacing damaged parts.
Very nice and helpful staff, breakfast quite good. room clean and ok for the money. perfect location! Swimming pool 'out of order' - not sure how that works!. room a little on the small side.
Wonderful location right in the heart of the town of Hvar. unfortunately there was a party on terrace on the Sat night which had very loud music until the early hours of the morning. Hotel could have warned us before booking.
The hotel is not good, omly de localiyation is good.
location, exterior appearance, charm of seaview room
The location is prime. Best spot in town. Rooms old and beat up. No ac during a record heat wave.
Kindness of the staff, breakfast terrace & it`s view over the sea. Rooms need air-conditioning during the hot season!!
No air con
The convenience to the interesting sites. Very nice!
Incredibly noisy on Saturday night as the room faced out onto the square.
A spacious room with sofa in a splendid location in the older part of town amid narrow alleyways. Courteous staff and reasonable off-season prices. A nice breakfast too.
Fabulous hospitality, beautifully and sympathetically refurbished in 2007. Very hospitable staff. Excellent, never ending breakfast, served at the table and cooked to order. Exceptionally characterful and charming.
It was very beautifully appointed, central and the staff were very nice. Everything was just about perfect. I would just suggest that such a hotel should provide soap in the bathrooms.
The hotel has been beautifully renovated recently. Our room was very large and tastefully decorated with fresh flowers awaiting our arrival. All the hotel staff were courteous and helpful and we particularly appreciated the early morning lift to the ferry and early breakfast. We would highly recommend this hotel
We loved the location; the staff; the restaurant and the quaint aspect of the facility We were promised a packed lunch on the last day and that didn't happen.
Friendly staff, intimate ,great room, fabulous breakfast
Hotel staff was very friendly WiFi was broke down during our stay, and it was not be fixed.
Really excellent staff who really took good care of us and exceeded our expectations. We even got breakfast on the departure date even though we left almost an hour before breakfast officially starts. We stayed one night in a room immediately above the restaurant and it was really difficut to sleep. We asked to switch rooms the next day and the staff handled this issue very professionally.
The villa was historic, beautiful and fully upgraded with emphasis on design. We were more that delighted by what we discovered there. the breakfast was taken on the terrace and impossible to find better in any way! the experience was not short of amaying to us both! Not one thing
Beautiful view, very nice room with large balcony.
Staff were very friendly and very very helpful, very well located hotel (right next the the harbour) and the breakfast was brilliant. We had booked a double room and expected a double bed but were given twin beds (this was not stated in the booking). There was no air conditioning either and the bathroom was really small and not very good condition. Other than that it was fine, you pay for the location really and if you want to share a bed I think you need to book a sea view (although they only tell you this when you get there).
- brilliant location 2 minutes around from the ferry drop off and old town. Amazing views. great swimming spot right outside the front door of the hotel. - breakfast was a few miniutes walk away and below average (poor quality buffet). Hotel Dalmacija has a kitchen so not sure why they cant provide breakfast.
No AC, very noisy because of people spending time right below the hotel and no way to close windows because of the lack of air conditioning.
The location of this hotel was excellent, close enough to all the restaurants and bars but far away enough not to be noisy. The view was stunning. The hotel itself was very dated and tired looking, and the rooms were very small.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.Cleanliness of my room was excellent also the seawiev, a big balcony and the location. I had a Junior Suite and I stayed alone in my room but I think you can´t called it a suite. It was just an ordinary room with very small toilet.
It was in a good location. The swimming pool was small but lovely. The hotel was very well presented.
Location is perfect. Nice restaurants around Very old rooms. No A/C, no power plugs.
The hotel receptionists were extremely helpful. The views over the bay were excellent. The bathroom could benefit from a refurbishment, and the room was on the small side for a "junior suite". The hotel restaurant had closed a couple of weeks before our arrival, so we were unable to have a drink there after breakfast.
Perfect location, very friendly staff! Highly recommended! No
upgraded to Palace hotel no availability of hot water during the day
The hotel is in an excellent location with a 2 min walk to swim & sunbake & a 10 minute walk along the coastline to the main city center. Bars, beaches & clubs are all within 10-15 minutes walk, which is handy. Free shuttle to and from the port & free internet & breakfast was a bonus. The price is pretty expensive considering it is an old hotel and there are many newer hotels on the island for the same price, but overall had a nice stay here.
The room was adequate and good value. The food was excellent. it's a shame there were so few people dining as it made the atmosphere a little empty. The beach chairs were very uncomfortable without cushions. I would have liked to pay more and have more comfort
It has charm tho old fashined
The location was great, only a 15 min walk along the water to center. Bed was comfortable, staff was extremely friendly. I would recommend staying here when staying in hvar. N/A
It was close to everything which was extremely handy. The night staff member was unhelpfull, the breakfast was not good
I enjoyed the quiet of the hotel. it was close enough to the square to walk but far enough away that it was quite. Did not particularly like the food at dinner. the breakfast was good.
Very friendly people,nice rooms,clean house,good service,nice location
Very good service and support for our vist to Venice. A well-appointed and comfortable room with good breakfast supplied as an extra.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Hotel Curin and actually extended our stay by a day. The rooms were clean and the shared kitchen came in handy. Someone picked us up from the bus station and gave us a lift to the apartment as well as took us to Stari Grad in order to catch a ferry. Apartment is very convenient to a market and a very fun bar called Hula Hula Hvar. I'd recommend this apartment to all.
The friendly owners made the stay very memorable. The bed linen could do with replacement.
