Very easy to reach and located conveniently close to lots there is to see in Edinburgh. Nice modern facilities. Very extensive breakfast offerings.

Disappointing Experience - Avoid This Hotel After more than 18 hours of travel, we arrived at Ibis Hunter Square expecting a smooth check-in, having confirmed our stay well in advance. Location is great and rooms are spacious. But staff is kind of rude and don’t really know what they are doing, it felt like all of them were on their first day. Also, one elevator was out of order and it was taking forever to get the other one, and there was no one there to fix it. Finally poor drainage in the bathroom is kind of annoying.

Cons (-) Carpet was filthy upon check in trash from previous guest was still there. Hair in shower stall dirty sock under bed. Room was extremely hot and unable to sleep from bar noise screaming at 4 am. Room was extremely overpriced as I would rate this hotel one star. I would never stay at another Ibis

If you are just looking for a place to lay your head at night while exploring Edinburgh, IBIS is a good choice. The staff were friendly and efficient, the room and bathroom was clean, and check-in/out was simple and direct. Overall I would ...
Cons (-) In over 20 years of travel, every hotel except one has fallen short on pillows. Doesn't matter where, they are universally flat and usually require 3 or so to be good for me - I'm a side sleeper who likes fluffy firm pillows.
